Rafael Cortez is an accomplished individual in the real estate space, and today he joins Tamra Simon on her Live in the Real Estate Power Chat to share his story and insight on building confidence as a real estate professional. Rafael started off doing real estate investments in 2009, and he had another business at the time, which was transportation-based. He used his knowledge of construction from his high school days to get started in the fix-and-flip space, and eventually moved on to wholesaling. In 2013, he obtained his real estate license, and from there, his business just kept growing. Rafael attributes his success to the combination of things that made sense to him, which eventually led to the formation of his own business. He believes that what has driven him to be so accomplished and to keep building is his passion and determination to succeed.

The speaker is an entrepreneur who is discussing how entrepreneurs are naturally curious, and how this can be a good thing if they know how to channel it. He learned how to do this by fixing and flipping properties. Along the way, he learned about wholesaling as well. He emphasizes the importance of dedicating time to new activities and allocating time blocks to avoid feeling overwhelmed. He advises taking small steps and consistency to make progress and succeed in one's goals.

The speaker believes that it is necessary to take risks in order to grow and become successful. He encourages people to look for opportunities and never become complacent with their current strategies and success. He also stresses the importance of surrounding oneself with people who have greater success than you and borrowing their perspective. Ultimately, he believes that taking risks and building relationships with successful people is the key to true growth.

In this conversation, the speaker talks about the importance of developing an effective and strategic business plan, as well as the importance of having a business mindset instead of a hustle mentality. He also explains the acronym of Less which stands for Lean, Effective, Strategic, and Simple. He advises budding entrepreneurs to be aware of the mental struggles that come with being an entrepreneur and to focus on developing a plan that is lean, effective, strategic, and simple. He also emphasizes the importance of delegation and automation and encourages entrepreneurs to find ways to cut the learning curve so that they don't get burned out from hustling.
