When it comes to your health, do you create boundaries? Or do you do as you please in hopes of living a long and prosperous life?
We need boundaries when it comes to our health or else we're just living our health to please others.
In my late 20s I didn't know I was living a pattern of people pleasing with my health until I became ill and had to give up meat (specifically beef & pork). It was during this time that I took the initiative to start observing my life and why I was doing/eating/consuming in the same way as the people I surrounded myself with. Surely enough, it dawned on me that I was never taught how to NOT people please with food, let alone my health. I have never been taught how to set boundaries with my health, just like my community. Granted, I don't live in an obese community and my family is quite healthy. Nonetheless, we have difficulty saying 'no' to food.
What have I learned by setting boundaries for myself and for my health?
