Darren Tee was born and raised in a little town in Illinois along the Mississippi River. He went on to attend the University of Illinois. Darren walked on to the University of Illinois football team in 1983. In his first year on the UI football team, they were Big 10 Champions and played in the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. Darren had a 33 year career as a elementary educator and high school track and golf coach. He also had a short stint as a caddie for a high school friend and PGA professional, Todd Hamilton.
