Machele has been teaching, in one mode or another, since the mid-1990s when she began as a TA in her Master’s Degree program at East Carolina University. Since then, she has been in academia as staff, an adjunct, and now, as a full time professor. She has been with BridgeValley since 2010 and looks forward to many more years with the institution. Her degree is in Physics and she teaches all levels of the science for the school. In addition, Machele is an award winning artist focusing primarily on breaded embroidery. Both WVU Art Museum and the WV Cultural Center own pieces she has created.
