Bei dem Projekt TEMA and the Mandelbrots treffen die beiden Ensembles TEMA und Benoît and the Mandelbrots aufeinander und gehen neue Wege: Die Klänge der Einzelinstrumente werden aufgenommen und in Echtzeit durch das Live Coding der Laptopimprovisateure verarbeitet. Das sich entfaltende, changierende Klanggeflecht ist sowohl eigenständiges Soundenvironment als auch Umrahmung der vom Ensemble TEMA vorgetragenen Kompositionen sowie einer Improvisation der Mandelbrots. Ein Kooperationsprojekt vom IMWI/ComputerStudio (HfM Karlsruhe), Institut musiktheater intégrale (HfG Karlsruhe), Benoît and the Mandelbrots und Ensemble TEMA.
