Dennis Lockhart stepped down from his role as the 14th President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta in February. In that role, he oversaw all the bank's activity, including monetary policy, bank supervision and regulation, and payment services. Prior to that, he was on faculty at Georgetown University's Walsh School of Foreign Affairs and was an adjunct professor at Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies. He has also served as a managing partner for a boutique investment firm and as president of Heller International Group, among other positions.Currently, Lockhart is a director/trustee of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, the Georgia Research Alliance and the Commerce Club. He sits on the advisory board of the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University and chairs the Emory Brain Health Center advisory council. A California native, he served as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, and holds degrees from Stanford University and Johns Hopkins University.
