I am finishing season 2 by speaking to my two lovely sisters Becky and Tash, where we take the opportunity to reflect upon the challenges of 2020 and look forward to 2021 with positivity.

We all had a big year of firsts despite the pandemic!

Becky travelled around Asia and Australia before starting her first job post university in March, where she quickly needed to adapt to working virtually and building a productive and self-motivated working-from-home routine.

Tash started her first year at Edinburgh University, after completing her final year of school very suddenly and prematurely. It has been very challenging for her to be in first year of university in COVID conditions, however she has been very strong throughout the difficulties she has faced of self-isolation, home sickness and working on her mental health.

We also speak about how lockdown allowed us to grow as a family unit, but also personally, and it was over lockdown that yoga and open water swimming began to play a bigger part in our lives!

It is clear throughout this episode that sport has been a massive element within our lives, and that it continues to be! All our younger years were filled with countless sports; athletics, cross country, swimming, netball, hockey, lacrosse, gymnastics and more!

Becky's love of team sport was explicated by her captaincy of the 1st Lacrosse Team at Oxford University, where she was also the president of Atlanta's, the university society empowering female sport at all levels. Me and Becky also competed in an ultra-adventure race together in 2019, in very testing weather conditions.

Tash started her journey with sport and fitness through dance, with her love of lacrosse and the gym becoming stronger towards the end of school. She ran 27km during lockdown as part of a fundraiser, and looks forward to a personal training qualification in the future!

We bring awareness throughout this episode to the ups and downs that life can bring, especially in this time. With any healing journey, collective or individual, it is all about staying positive, strong and supportive of one another. We really hope that you enjoy this episode!
