What do you do when your first creative work stumbles out of the gate? You get up and try again.

As a filmmaker, host of the Future Starts Here, and founder of the Webby Awards, Tiffany Shlain has built an enviable career: she works on the projects she wants to work on with the people she wants to work with. But Shlain didn’t get there over night. There were a few missteps along the way that proved invaluable to her path to independence so we chatted about how to build a career on your own terms including:
