Adam and his crew combine the professionalism of broadcasting with the flexibility of podcasting into a show that educates on serious issues through a sarcastic wit.
I am a daily (M-F) listener. While some episodes may be better than others, it's still part of my weekly routine. Entertaining, informative, and sometimes irreverent.EDIT: Adam's new direction for the show (political, California sucks) has really ruined my enjoyment of the show. This used to be one of the shows I looked forward to the most, now I find myself deleting episodes when Adam just talks politics (or how much he hates California but refuses to leave). Occasionally, the guests can save it, but sometimes even Adam can ruin an interview by trying to make it take a political slant. I came here to get away from the constant bombardment of politics invading my daily life.
Used to be my first daily must listen, but has become very stale, repetitive and overrun by ads. I can handle the ads, but the quality has just deteriorated, and splitting the download into 2 files daily, presumably to game download numbers, is annoying. I still give it a chance daily but I'm guessing due to Adam's involvement in other projects this show has slipped quite a bit.
Can’t stand this guy’s voice and attitude. Waste of time.
I love Adam. I am a fan of everything the new book-BTW was really great. I loved To Catch a Contractor I personally find Adam very smart, up on everything newsworthy, inviting to guests and funny. I saw a few comments about being political. Adam is on point with what he says. If you live in California, then you would understand the things that have happened here in the last 2 years have changed many minds, made people leave and made people miserable who cant leave. Of course there are a few episodes I am not interested in and I have no problem skipping them. Overall one of my weekly listens and as Reasonable Doubt is up there with my top 5
Used to LOVE this podcast, started listening in Las Vegas when he left terrestrial radio. He has a particular wit and humor that deserves a full listen before you dismiss him as just the guy from the "Man Show." He is much smarter than that show made him seem. I stopped listening around the time he fired Allison Rosen, but not BECAUSE of that. I had kids and less time for podcasts!!
Offbeat and funny!
I love everything Adam Carolla does. This show is one of my favorites.
If you have time to commit daily, listen to Audible.
I owe my podcasting education to Adam Carolla. I’ll backup – in Jr. High and High School I grew up listening to classic Loveline with Adam Carolla and Dr. Drew. Being from the Midwest, I didn’t follow Carolla when he left the show in 2005 to essentially be the West Coast Terrestrial radio version of Howard Stern…but I tried to keep tabs on things when I could. Then…when his network flipped formats and he was left on his own, but with a loyal fanbase…so he started a podcast. And he grew it into an empire, and I found it and listened pretty much from the first week on through now. I was exposed to so many new artists and entertainers and it was through Carolla that I got to hear one of my all-time favorite comedians, Dana Gould, for the first time. It’s a morning zoo format- Carolla is at the helm, he has his straight man/sidekick in “Bald” Bryan Bishop, and a perky news girl in Gina Grad to giggle and play the role of every girl in all interactions…but it works. Cosmically, things lead to things…and Carolla lead me to a wonderful aural landscape of interviews, music, and of course comedy. Even if I don’t listen as much as I used to (no knock against him- I have so many shows to juggle now) this will always have a place in my heart as being the first podcast that led me to so many others. Thank you, Adam. Thank you, crew. Good times.
