When we become mothers, our creativity often gets sapped in place of exhaustion and our children's needs. Because of this, mothers need to nourish themselves even more, by releasing their suppressed imagination and getting creative again. Today’s guest, Dr Georgina Green, is helping and guiding time-poor women to do exactly this through their writing. 
During this Ambitious Mum podcast episode, Kate and Georgina cover the importance of expressing yourself creatively, how it helps you to feel like your authentic self and gives you another reason for being other than your duties as a mother. They also discuss why it's so vital to carve out time for your own outlets and accept how valid this is for our mental and emotional wellbeing.
Dr Georgina Green - everyone calls her George! - is a recovering long-term academic, a mother of two boys, and a book coach for mothers who want to make time, space and energy for writing. Just as her youngest son was about to start school and she was patiently waiting to restart her career, the pandemic turned her to homeschool rather than having more time to focus on writing.

Knowing she had to make time for herself, George created Calliope's Writers - a writing community of women carving out time each week to keep each other accountable and inspire creative energy to write.
