Tammy Powell started her career as a veterinarian, but after lots of sleepless nights on emergency shifts, she decided to make a change and pursue a freelance copywriting career.

Now, as the owner of PetCopywriter.com, she works as a copywriter and content specialist for the pet and veterinary industries. She’s also a travel writer.

She loves how being a writer allows her to not only combine her interests of animals and writing, but also to have the freedom in her schedule to travel more, have a healthy work-life balance, and make time for the people in her life.

When I talked with Tammy, she was traveling in India, a place that she loves to visit. Tammy told me about how she switched from a demanding career as a veterinarian to a full-time freelance copywriting, Anywhereist lifestyle, with lots of travel.
