Hey all you cool peoples, thanks for joining us on an unintentionally super-sized episode of The Arcade! We start the show off with two Ludicrous Leadoffs that are, once again, focused on NFTs. In the first, we share news of what may, (or may not), have been a fake Banksy NFT that sold for a six-figure sum, while in the second, we try and wrap our heads around the $24 million price paid for a collection of bored ape NFTs. Somehow, we manage to squeeze in an additional Ludicrous Leadoff, this time focused on Star Citizen as we discuss its developer, Cloud Imperium Games, getting their knuckles wrapped for some misleading advertising. From there, we take time and go over the ruling recently handed down in the trial between Apple and Epic Games, and what we think it might mean for the mobile gaming space going forward. As if that wasn’t enough, we’ll review the big announcements from Sony’s PlayStation Showcase, which included the next Spider-Man game, a Marvel Wolverine game, and a release date for Gran Turismo 7.
