This episode wraps up the chapter in Bible Myths and Their Parallels in Other Religions by TW Doane on how Christianity prospered.  Spoiler alert!  They tortured people and did other things to ensure the survival of the religion.

I don't completely agree with everything Doane says in this chapter, and there are some elements which are somewhat confusing, that won't get explained better until a future episode.  Still, there are elements of what Doane wrote which I'm sure did play a part in the spread of Christianity.
