Hi, this is Ned Donovan, producer, co-host, and editor of At the Table: A Play Reading Series, a podcast that produces new plays from emerging playwrights as audio dramas with Broadway and other professional stage actors. You're listening to an episode from our second season. We revived this show from an indefinite hiatus at the start of the coronavirus pandemic. We felt that at a time where theatre was shuttering worldwide It was important now more than ever to be producing new plays with wonderful actors and making sure that theatre continues to be produced even despite these trying times. We've picked this play for the audio verse showcase because Michael Kostroff, lead actor in the show is nominated, and we also felt that it's a perfect showcase of a simple story told beautifully. Actors Michael Kostroff and Sherri Edelen are in this two hander by Clare Bierman that allows you to really hear the gorgeous nature of theatre when everything is stripped away from the words and performed stunningly.
