The virtual. In a second, I

0:02

wanna circle back with Courtney and

0:04

Matt that we're so touched

0:08

by the help that they received from virtual a

0:10

fan yesterday. They've been

0:12

homeless for a while, and a

0:14

whole bunch of virtual fans stepped up and helped

0:16

them out yesterday. But I saw this this morning,

0:19

And since we're talking about random acts

0:21

of kindness, this one right here

0:24

is like the crown jewel today.

0:26

So California man that

0:28

is coming up on his thirtieth birthday,

0:31

and he decided for his birthday. He was

0:33

gonna do thirty acts of kindness

0:35

over the next year. And some of those

0:37

include giving twelve thousand dollars worth

0:39

of school supplies to teachers in

0:41

Oakland. His name is Brian. Hi. My name

0:43

is Brian, and I'm on mission to complete thirty

0:46

of kindness before turning thirty next year.

0:48

I pulled out a sheet of paper and I started to write

0:50

down all the things that I was grateful for. Every

0:52

wonderful thing that has happened to me was

0:55

thanks to the support and generosity

0:57

of others. Kindness is interesting

0:59

because it has that thing of being very

1:02

addictive. Once you do one act of kindness,

1:04

you wanna do another. One act can lead

1:06

to hundreds, and it really can make this

1:08

world a brighter place. I thought the timing of that

1:10

for us was great. impeggable timing. That's beautiful.

1:12

It's always great. So let's get Courtney and

1:14

Matt back on. Hey, guys.

1:17

Hey. How are y'all Well,

1:18

you sound a little bit different today than you

1:20

did yesterday.

1:22

Yeah. You guys are definitely the

1:24

what you guys do is incredible.

1:25

It's just incredible.

1:28

Has it has it had a chance

1:30

to sink in yet? Everybody who

1:32

stepped up to try to give you guys a little bit

1:34

of help. No. It feels

1:37

like a dream. It feels like a he needs to

1:39

pinch me.

1:39

That's the way the way go. I

1:41

know. Right? Well, let's just run through

1:43

the list and just very quickly. If you weren't listening

1:46

yesterday. Court Ian met

1:48

hardworking people caught a bad

1:50

break, man. And as I said yesterday, sixty

1:53

percent of Americans. live from paycheck

1:55

to paycheck. So if you're listening yesterday, judging

1:58

and you're one of those sixty percent, I

2:00

can assure you, man, it can happen to

2:02

anybody. What they're in this high house and

2:04

the house wasn't even suitable to

2:06

live in. They were renting. And

2:09

the owner of the house when they brought all the stuff

2:11

there tensions like, sorry about that. Get

2:13

out of here. So No. That

2:14

he was like, you can stay. I'm not gonna fix it. And they're

2:16

like, we don't want this house crumbling over top

2:18

of us, so we're gonna

2:20

leave. So they did. And to make a long

2:22

story short, they've been staying in motels

2:25

and campgrounds and

2:27

just really really needed a break.

2:29

Yeah. They tried to stay at some shelters,

2:32

but they didn't want to separate, and

2:34

the shelters have men in one

2:36

area, and women in another. And

2:38

so and they just they have a dog that has

2:41

been by their side through this whole thing, and the shelters don't

2:43

take dogs, and then they're gonna have to board the dog. And

2:45

also if you don't have kids, you're not you're

2:48

not as applicable to get into the shelter, so

2:50

they just kept hitting roadblock after

2:52

roadblock after roadblock.

2:53

So Justin Landis or the

2:55

Justin Landis group called yesterday on

2:57

his Like, they need help. I got you

2:59

twenty five hundred dollars. Ingalls

3:01

called up and they're like, what do they need? They need

3:03

gas, they need grocery, so they gave a thousand

3:06

bucks. Your friend Jessica called

3:08

up and hooked her up hooked

3:10

Courtney up also. Courtney and

3:12

Matt. So Courtney does have

3:14

a new job and she is on

3:16

Zoom educating people and she has

3:18

not stepped foot in the salon in over a year.

3:21

So my dear friend Jessica Goldstein

3:23

from Diego salon is like you both come in, and we

3:25

will do absolutely whatever you need to feel your

3:27

absolute best.

3:28

And Ali Ewad from

3:30

a CEO lawyer, he

3:32

donated twenty five hundred dollars yesterday

3:35

also, but he wasn't in town

3:37

yesterday. So I said to him, look,

3:39

if you got time to come on today. I'm sure

3:41

they would love to hear from you. So here's

3:43

Ali. Hey Ali.

3:47

Hey, good morning, Bert. How are you guys? Fantastic,

3:50

man. I got Courtney and Matt on

3:52

with you, and I know they wanna thank

3:54

you, man. I know you were touched by their story too, so

3:56

I really wanted to connect you guys. Good

3:59

morning, Matt. Good

3:59

morning. Thank you so much for giving me the

4:02

opportunity to help because I

4:04

have to be honest. It's not really

4:06

selflessness. It's selfishness. You

4:08

know, they feel so good to be able to help

4:11

other people that it almost feels like

4:13

I'm the one that should be thanking

4:15

you guys. And look,

4:17

we've all been there. We've all had difficult times.

4:19

And I

4:22

grew up really, really in

4:24

difficult situations and, you know,

4:26

my parents are from an immigrant family

4:29

and, you know,

4:31

it's tough men and it almost seems like

4:34

sometimes no matter how much money you make,

4:36

it's you

4:38

can't keep up. And so I just wanted

4:40

to thank you guys for giving me the opportunity to

4:42

help and get back. And Courtney

4:45

and Matt, I hope that you guys are going

4:47

to be able to take this and give it back to other

4:49

people in the future too because there's

4:52

no more fulfilling feeling, I promise

4:54

you.

4:55

Yes. We just want

4:57

to say thank you so much. We what

4:59

you guys are doing, what you're doing, then

5:02

it it's it's really changing our lives. So,

5:04

I mean, it's it's given us a a

5:06

second chance to get to get where we wanna

5:08

be. And, you know, and I know where we wanna

5:11

be is in a position for us to be able

5:13

to do the same thing for somebody. I

5:15

know you will at some point. Ali, thank you,

5:17

man, for joining us. Ali is the number one

5:19

most followed injury lawyer in the

5:21

world on Instagram. You can look them

5:23

up. CEO, lawyer. Thanks

5:26

for the twenty five hundred dollars, man. I really, really

5:28

appreciate it. Absolutely,

5:29

man. When you guys called me yesterday,

5:32

I really wanted to try to get show yesterday. But,

5:35

you know, it's honestly my pleasure. And,

5:38

you know, if there's anything that I can do, you know,

5:40

I'm I'm from Georgia, been here my whole life.

5:43

there's anything that I could do for my community, I'm

5:45

here to help.

5:46

You the man, dude. Thank you.

5:48

Thank you. Alright.

5:50

So Courtney and Matt, with

5:52

everything yesterday, I think if

5:55

I'm doing the math right, we're close to, like, ten

5:57

thousand bucks. So that

5:59

should sincerely help here over the next couple

6:01

of months until you guys get on your feet. Correct?

6:04

Oh, yeah. That is what I said. That's

6:06

changed. That's gonna change our lives. I mean,

6:08

it's been amazing. We can't thank

6:11

you enough.

6:11

I gotta know. What was the dog's

6:13

reaction when you told the dog? don't

6:17

really know. We're both in tiers. That's

6:19

fine. So we've been in tears, you know,

6:21

a few times in the past six months. Past six months this

6:23

for much much better reason. So she's

6:26

a She's still right there with us. Waggoner

6:28

tails. I

6:30

don't laugh you. Well, I'm glad it all

6:32

worked out. I mean, I was getting text like all day

6:34

yesterday. My friend Dana from Frabberg called up

6:36

and said, they need five hundred dollars. I got them, so

6:38

we can even add that to the plot also. So

6:41

you guys, you know, keep

6:44

in touch with us. Mhmm. We definitely

6:46

wanna follow-up with you guys. I

6:49

know that you're gonna get on your feet. This will help.

6:51

And then let's just stay in touch. I

6:53

love the story. Absolutely.

6:55

I mean, we can't thank

6:57

you enough. And I mean, I've been

6:59

a stretch for years, so it's just it

7:01

really touches me that y'all care

7:04

family as well. And thank you for your vulnerability.

7:06

because I know this wasn't an easy story to share,

7:09

and not only but

7:11

just so you know by sharing, you're letting other

7:13

people out who are in a similar situation, no, they're

7:15

not alone and that this could happen

7:16

to anybody. We've inspired a lot of people.

7:19

I appreciate that. appreciate that. That's what we want

7:22

to do. And like I said, even

7:24

even if this hadn't turned into what it has,

7:26

we we still wanted to make sure that we got

7:28

our story out there and and, you know, let

7:31

let everybody to know what the, you know,

7:33

the Berkshire family know that, you know, it can

7:35

happen to anybody. And, you know, sometimes

7:37

people do need help. Yeah. For sure. for that.

7:39

But but with people out there, like, you does

7:42

and it's like the FERC Joe family. I mean,

7:45

it it's amazing what you guys do. I mean, you're

7:47

literally changing our lives. Appreciate you guys

7:49

calling. We'll be in contact with you guys. You're part of the

7:51

family now. Okay? Thank you.

7:53

Awesome. Thank you. I see you guys. Yeah. He

7:55

said it right there and I said this yesterday. You can

7:57

go through life without asking for help. I know. You cannot

8:00

do it alone. Period. You just can't. Entertainment
