In the past, sponsored posts were only offered to those bloggers with hundreds of thousands, or millions of pageviews per month. Only the biggest of bloggers were coveted by brands.

But let me tell you — sponsored posts are about to become the norm. The standard way of advertising with bloggers. Why? Because banners don't pay. No one looks at banners anymore, and mobile optimized websites don't give brands enough viewability.

So they need to find other ways to reach audiences. And sponsored posts — or native advertising — is quickly becoming an effective way to get products and messages in front of new eyeballs.

And this isn't just for bloggers who are getting a ton of traffic. Brands now, are open to working with a wide range of bloggers with varying levels of traffic. Because they know that this is becoming the norm, and they need to adapt.
