Dawson Church, PhD, is an award-winning author whose best-selling book, The Genie in Your Genes, has been hailed by reviewers as a breakthrough in our understanding of the link between emotions and genetics. He founded the National Institute for Integrative Healthcare to study and implement promising evidence-based psychological and medical techniques. His groundbreaking research has been published in prestigious scientific journals and he is here to share some EFT tips for the holidays.

EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques and is often associated with tapping. Tapping is a means for interrupting the patterns of association created through unhappy emotional habits.  Lynette and Dawson discuss at length the power of pattern interrupts to heal and help when challenged while dealing with trauma during traditions and holidays.

Post Traumatic Stress (PTSD) disordered individuals are especially vulnerable during these periods loaded with triggers for igniting the emotions associated with past events. EFT is one source for self help.

The Brain Broad shares information on the known PTSD related sites of the brain and how to help them with neurofeedback.

Todays ‘Brain Broad, Google Gods’ Search Engine Brain Lesson is related to healing after the holidays.

Today’s question: “Is cortisol a stress hormone or incorrectly named?”

Today’s answer: “It is released to reset and help after a trauma so yes and yes.”
