The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, was anointed. I believe he was sent by God to direct the people. In the process, he was not excluded from the sins of man and the ways of the world. He was not exempt from serious mental illness, according to several on-line sources. It is reported that DR. MLK, JR suffered from bouts of depression and before the age of 13 attempted suicide on two occasions. He would soon overcome this depression and enter college at the young age of 15.
