This week its Shri Thanedar for Congress, Candidate for US Congress from Michigan’s 13th District.
Shri Thanedar is a scientist, businessman, husband, father, grandfather, and State Representative. He grew up in abject poverty in India, in a home with no running water with his 8 siblings. With some luck, a good education, and hard work, he immigrated to the United States, received his graduate degrees, and became a successful entrepreneur that built several businesses.
Shri is currently a State Representative, representing part of Detroit, Michigan. He has worked tirelessly to strengthen Detroit public schools, helping pass a budget that provided the most per-pupil funding in Michigan history. He's worked to increase mental health resources, protect voting rights of Michiganders, address racial and economic inequality, and more. He's running for U.S. Congress in Michigan's 13th District, to fight for his community at the federal level.
