Kate Thomas is the CMO of The Drinkable Co., creators of cannabis infused cold brew, fresh tea, and handcrafted sodas that are available in Massachusetts and Maine. Kate began her creative marketing career in New York and then spent a decade working as associate creative director at Swardlick Marketing in Portland, Maine.

In 2006, she became creative director at White Rock Distilleries, where she led the team that supported the alcohol industry, but now she’s transitioning her marketing powers to cannabis.

Kate shares insights about the beverages being created by The Drinkable Co., what it was like to transition from alcohol to cannabis, and how she’s found ways to incorporate cannabis into her own life.

Joyce also speaks with a special segment guest, Beth Mathieu of North Atlantic Seed company in Maine.  Beth has a great caregiver story and on today’s show she explains where our cannabis seeds come from and how feminized seeds are created.

Culture Corner: Joyce recommends the new movie, Priscilla directed by Sofia Coppola which portrays Priscilla Presley from the age of fourteen to twenty-four. This bittersweet film is a new look at this famous couple. Based on Priscilla Presley’s memoir – Elvis and Me.
