Calm & engaging good guests and relevant..always a good listen

Suzy is an expert podcaster who knows how to craft an episode. If you have even a passing interest in the birds you can see or hear around you, I feel like Suzy would be delighted to talk with you, as the mark of someone who truly loves a topic is that they don’t pretend to know everything, but are effusive and unselfish in what they share. When you love something, you want everyone to love it too, and that loves comes through in every second.

Listen... As someone who loves birds but not so much being outside (oh boy can weather be fun sometimes), this show is the best compromise I could have hoped for. But also, it's education. And somewhat calming. Gives you so much with each listen!

The Casual Birder podcast is one of my favourite podcasts. Suzy covers different birding moments and experiences and it is both British and international in its feel. It's very relatable too as I am very much a casual birder and also the guests interviewed and Suzy herself are relatable. There is something for all; for seasoned birders to novices like me. Suzy's voice is soothing and calming. The podcast is an antidote to all the chaos in the world and the stresses of life. It encourages to be curious and to enjoy what is around us. There is a very welcoming community surrounding the podcast too. There are some experienced birders who are willing to teach you and Suzy puts a lot of effort in to not just the podcast but also to engaging with the community too.

I really enjoy this podcast and its relaxed mix of facts and info, and relaxed birding. As a Brit who now lives abroad, I love hearing about all the birds from 'back home', but also appreciate the international flavour that the host gives it with interviews and info from other locations. Suzy really gets across her love of birds and the joy they can bring, and it is infectious. Thank you for this - I look forward to every episode.

What a lovely, lovely piece. I was honestly very skeptical at the concept and whether it would capture me but I absolutely adored listening to this show. The only thing keeping this from a 5 star review for me is that there were many edit points that were jarring because the background noise cut so drastically and obviously. I would have liked a more seamless listen with less noticeable edits.

Suzy is your remedy for the Covidian Blues, her delightful accent along with her motivating words about being more connected with nature. I gotta say, it's exactly what we all need right now :)

I am a gardener and I started listening with an interest in being able to increase my awareness of the birds around me. Suzy has more than met that expectation, in every episode she shares her casual approach to birding in her daily life, and the day to day birding experiences of others. Listening not only informs you a bit about birds, but also encourages you as a part of a community of Casual Birders.

I found it so interesting and involving that I have listened all 75 podcast in just 3 days... Just loving it and waiting for the new podcast. Thank you Suzy, it is great job you doing...

This is a fabulous podcast, so relaxed, friendly, warm, inclusive and for those of us that know nothing about birding it's a superb resource. Suzi has a soothing voice too. Brilliant!

The casual birder podcast is the first podcast I've enjoyed so much that I listened to all previous episodes and continue to listen to every new release. There is something special about this podcast with its relaxing, informative and fun vibe. The facebook group is a great extra too, helps you learn about birds from around the world as posted by global listeners. I even ended up as a guest on the show where I joined Suzy for a bird walk, you can't say better than that for audience participation! Seriously though, this is a great podcast for everyone from the keen birders to the most casual and even those don't know anything about birds. Thank you for all the work you put in behind each episode too!

This podcast has brightened my commutes since I discovered it. I really enjoy the interviews and hearing about other people's birding experiences around the world. In addition, I love the sense of community in the associated Facebook group.

I have been listening to the Causal Birder Podcast for the past couple of years and have truly enjoyed every episode. Suzy covers a wide range of very informative topics that can be related to no matter what level of birding experience you bring to the table.

I'll start this off by saying I am not a true bird-watcher or lover, but I AM a lover of this podcast! Suzy is an excellent host, guiding you through her birdwalks and having great guests on to chat life and bird-related stories. A very relaxing podcast, easy-listening that you do NOT want to miss out on! :) <3

I have followed this podcast for a few year. I find it a very entertaining mix of information and fun in a very relaxing show. The host is very active/responsive and has created a very nice community of listeners, which participate together to share observations, take part in virtual activities, etc.

I have been a very casual bird watcher for many years. I find Suzy's podcast to be just the right mix of information and fun. She has a lifelong love of birds, and it shows. She gives some great tips on how to observe the birds in our everyday lives. She gives us an inside look at birds in new locals that we may not have the opportunity to see personally. Her guests on the show add yet another dimension. I also love her Facebook Group where she creates a fun and lively forum for us to share our own experiences. So happy to have found The Casual Birder!!
