Eumund proves himself in the grand fight, the final competition in the solstice games and finds himself standing against a very worthy opponent. The people stand around a great fire in the temple square as the priests and priestesses offer prayer to their deities. A new enemy finds Nicholas of Tothmor, and Nicholas finds some joy in his new fame. This is the concluding second part of Chapter 5.
