This is the first two part series and in part 1 the team and look at the birth of Metal as a genre, and how the alternative scene stealthily took over from the punk scene of the 70s.

The Heavy Metal Scene dominated the musical landscape in the 1980s. With face melting guitar solos in every aspect of society, from McDonald's Ads, to The Power Rangers. While the Alternative scene was a place fr the socially conscious to go and vent their frustrations with mainstream society and the ideals it held for what life should be.
