Money is for sale right now and David Safeer knows where to get it. 

When you are a startup guy, you first think of the three F’s: Friends, Family, and Fools. But where does someone who is starting a business find money? David explains people usually start with a venture fund - even though so few business raise enough money that way.

The next place to look is your friends and family - people you already know that have confidence in you.

A new way of raising capital is crowdsourcing.

At some point, there is a shift in the market where the market is starting to pull your product or service from you. When that happens, as a business owner, you have some other options when it comes to funding your business.

David talks about borrowing first. If you borrow money, the risk is you have to pay it back and if you don’t, the lender can come after you.

However, the easiest thing you can borrow against is real estate. Going from a rental to an owned building can reduce your cost significantly.
