Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is a romantic musical comedy-drama television series on The CW by Rachel Bloom and Aline Brosh McKenna. It is currently in it's second season and was renewed for a third despite it's poor ratings. On renewing Crazy Ex-Girlfriend even through it had poor ratings Mark Pedowitz, President of The CW, said, "Critically acclaimed, great programming, sometimes you just leave it on the air and hopefully it finds an audience. I am hoping that happens. If it doesn't, I will have no regrets of having continued the series."
The show follows Rebecca Bunch (Rachel Bloom), a high powered lawyer, who runs into her ex-boyfriend from summer camp Josh Chan (Vincent Rodriguez III) on the streets of New York City. Josh tells her he can't be happy in New York and is going back home to California.
Rebecca realizes she isn't happy, quits her job and moves to Josh's home town (though, she assures us, it has nothing to do with Josh). She quickly starts stalking Josh and ends up meeting and making out with his friend Greg (Santino Fontana) at a party. Her co-worker Paula (Donna Lynne Champlin) figures out she is her because of Josh and offers to help her.
Her boss, Darryl Whitefeather (Pete Gardner), says a lot of pretty racist things.
