Our guest, Dr. Jamie Valentine Miller, the first African American woman to earn a Ph.D. in physics from Johns Hopkins University, opens up about her journey, offering a rare glimpse into the world of a trailblazer in STEM. Dr. Miller's story begins in Philadelphia, weaves through her involvement in a regional engineering program, and culminates at Florida A&M University, where she sharply navigated the academic world, securing a full scholarship and internships at Lawrence Livermore National Lab.
