3:10

this week's episode is dedicated to

3:14

Shane Swope.

3:15

Shane, you rock.

3:17

Okay. Let's just get right into it because we

3:19

got a long show ahead of us, Rachel. You've already

3:21

done a couple of episodes in to so many

3:23

new legendaries. Oh, my goodness.

3:26

I heard from Chuck that there are two hundred

3:28

seventy new legendaries this year -- Yeah. -- so

3:30

far. And we're not even done yet. We're

3:32

not even that two hundred seventy days in the year

3:34

as of the recording of this episode. Notably,

3:36

these are not in the set. Yes.

3:38

These

3:39

are box cop top records. So there's

3:41

twenty loose commanders that you could open

3:43

anywhere, and there's some cool familiar

3:45

names. So it was fun to see some new takes

3:47

on some old character that

3:50

we know and love from magic lore.

3:52

Yeah. And they're all based off of the original legends

3:54

that were printed way back in the day and are not

3:56

really commander viable, but now have been retooled

3:58

and re updated serve like their

4:00

twenty twenty two refresh. So let's

4:02

kick things off with glow up. It is a

4:04

glow up. Let's kick

4:06

things off with Roga, Care

4:08

Keep overlord.

4:10

So we're first going to go through

4:12

the cobalt history channel here. So you

4:14

might recognize Roga from his original legends card,

4:16

which is Roga of Care Keep. or

4:18

from his son's debut card,

4:20

ROGROC, son of ROGA. You know

4:23

ROGROCA? I did. I almost I almost

4:25

had to play ROGA on game night because

4:27

I I guess that's right. I

4:29

I guess the cobalt really like the letters r and

4:31

k when it comes to their naming conventions. And

4:33

the even though Rogrock Roga creates

4:35

cobalt tokens called cobalt of Care Keep. That's

4:37

actually an original card from legends

4:41

way, way back in the day and there are three of them.

4:43

They're all zero costs and they're all zero ones.

4:45

It's coals of care keep, crimson

4:48

cobalt and crookshank cobalt. So that's a lot

4:50

of cobalt action. And they're

4:52

all zero drops for zero one, which Yeah.

4:55

So let's read read Roga for

4:58

everybody -- Yeah. -- good call.

4:59

Roga is

5:01

a cobalt warrior for

5:03

three black red. He's A44

5:06

that says other cobalt do control

5:08

get plus two plus two. Whenever you

5:10

cast a cobalt spell, you may pay

5:12

too. If you do create A44

5:14

red dragon creature token with flying.

5:17

Yeah. Whenever you cast a dragon spell,

5:19

you create A01 red cobalt creature

5:21

token named cobalt of Care Keep. Yeah.

5:23

So

5:23

oh A little confusing because

5:25

Kohl's of Care Keep is a real card -- Yes. -- like

5:27

I just said. But it's also a token

5:30

now, so you can have a token called Kohl's of Care

5:32

Keep as well as the card itself. They're all zero

5:34

ones. don't get the creature

5:36

confused with the original creature. I think a lot of players if they

5:38

play this, they'll use this original card.

5:40

The old card. That's like a typical idea.

5:42

Yeah. It's kinda like reds

5:44

on the top drawer, I guess, because you can play it for

5:46

zero, man. For sure.

5:47

So, yeah, I I think I

5:48

think it lure wise cobalt are

5:51

like servants of dragons. I think there's the front

5:53

layer, like, a dragon minions. A

5:55

minions. Yes. So, yeah, when you cast a

5:57

cobalt, you make a dragon. When you cast a dragon, you

5:59

make a cobalt,

5:59

They're all they're buddies. They are

6:02

buddies. I think it's

6:04

I think it's fun. The first question I think

6:06

we have to ask is if you're gonna build this deck, are

6:08

you trying to cast more cobalt or you're trying

6:10

to cast more dragons because there's a payoff

6:12

either way. Mhmm. And I think we can all

6:14

agree that cobalt seem to be a much

6:16

better payoff. If you get a dragon out of it, A44

6:19

Yeah. And you can play a bunch of

6:21

them that cause zero mana, so you just basically

6:23

play 001 that gets plus two

6:25

plus two because of the commander and then you

6:27

make A44 Yeah. So that's a lot of value

6:29

for just casting a cheap creature. You have to

6:31

pay the additional two -- Yeah. -- to make the dragon

6:33

token. But for most of these, it's

6:35

gonna be you pay two manor, you make A44

6:38

flying, and you get A23 body,

6:40

like, because of these zero zero drops.

6:42

So It's pretty good. So yeah, two man for

6:44

four four dragon, two bodies, and they get pumped

6:46

as well. The biggest issue is there

6:48

aren't a ton of cobalt. So it's the ones

6:50

that we've listed. They've created a

6:51

couple in the last

6:53

few years, so many of the mighty also

6:55

cares about -- Right. -- Dragons! It's a D and

6:57

D card. Yeah. There is another cobalt

6:59

that was created in this set. It's row

7:02

snocked air of Roga.

7:04

So another we got another is another

7:06

sun or just an air? I don't

7:08

know. It feels it feels like rogue

7:10

rock is getting stiffed here. Yeah. Like,

7:12

I thought that he's the son.

7:13

I don't know. I'm not sure who

7:15

Rose Snakt is in the Roga

7:17

-- I heard her. --

7:19

hierarchy and Yeah. It is is

7:21

the heir to Roga. It's an older brother.

7:23

Maybe. Yeah. Who knows. Who knows? Maybe older

7:25

sister. Who knows? Someone, please tell

7:27

us. Yeah. Rose.

7:29

He's a sister. Yes. That's right. And

7:32

then there's also taunting cobalt that's

7:34

been released in the same set as well. But so

7:37

if you can't get that many cobalt, then

7:39

what can we do to get more cobalt

7:41

triggers? as

7:42

always, changelings. Woo hoo.

7:44

So there's a lot of upside to

7:47

casting changelings with

7:49

Ragon the battlefield because they're both

7:52

Kobalds and dragons. Yep.

7:54

So you wanna be able to pay that extra cost.

7:56

So the cheaper, the changelings, the

7:58

better, yeah, I think,

7:59

in the stack. because you're gonna have

8:02

to pay the the bonus cost anyway.

8:04

And you'll get so when you cast it, you'll

8:06

get both the triggers off of Roga. You'll get the

8:08

pay two to make A44 and you'll also automatically

8:10

get A01 cobalt to care keep,

8:12

which is pretty good. Pretty good. And there's

8:14

a lot of cheap changeings in these

8:16

color colors. We've got changeling outcast,

8:19

which is a black and can't be blocked,

8:21

universal automaton

8:22

is colorless and just one manna. The

8:24

two manor ones are firebelling, changeling,

8:26

and skeletal, changeling. And

8:29

then

8:29

Tory and Mollers just always

8:31

a thick baby. Yeah. I guess, plus one

8:33

plus one every time an important cast spell, we've

8:35

seen was it mandatory hydro? Yeah.

8:37

It's like cards like that just get out of control.

8:40

So, yeah,

8:40

you cast these you cast these change lines, you

8:43

get yourself a dragon, you get yourself a

8:45

cobalt, and they get buffed in addition.

8:47

It's worth noting that

8:49

Yeah.

8:50

This is a

8:53

cast trigger. So Yeah. You can't just

8:55

ETB a cobalt and -- Yeah. -- what happened? You do have

8:57

to make sure that they

8:59

spell actually goes on the stack, but changeling

9:01

is both on the stack. Yeah. There's also

9:03

black market connections, which if you've seen the last

9:05

game nights Josh used to extremely

9:08

effective measures because you can just make A32

9:11

colorless shape shifter creature with changeling --

9:13

Mhmm. -- every single one of your up or

9:15

sorry, your pre combat main phases. So pretty

9:17

good as well. So it won't it won't

9:19

trigger Roga because they're entering the battlefield,

9:22

but it they will be five

9:24

four's. Yeah. That's pretty good.

9:26

Yeah. Yeah. And work really

9:28

well with all of your tribal stuff that you wanna

9:30

sneak. in there. Yeah. And because,

9:32

again, we are stretching the knee and the

9:34

ability to, you're right, you want to have more change lanes,

9:36

but there are and cobots, but there aren't that

9:38

many. So I think again to reuse your

9:40

cobalt, replaying them, recasting them, getting

9:42

more floor floors is kind of where you wanna

9:44

be. You wanna continue the chain and keep

9:46

the pressure on. So there's lots of ways

9:48

to do that. The big one is Cloud Stone

9:50

Curio, which I'll read because it will come up a

9:52

few times. It's a three minute artifact

9:54

whenever a non artifact permanent comes into play

9:56

under your control, you may return another

9:59

permanent new control that shares a permanent

10:01

type with it to its owners.

10:03

hand. So if you have two creatures out or one creature

10:05

out, you play another creature. You can say, hey, look, creatures

10:07

and creatures, they share permanent types. I'm gonna bounce it

10:09

along back to my hand. So it's a great way to

10:11

rebuy cards and then recast them again.

10:13

And because Robot cares about cards being

10:15

cast, this is great. It can only be from

10:17

your hand. that's a very

10:19

explosive turn. Right? Because if you have if you have

10:21

like two of the one or two, like, zero drop

10:23

cobalt -- Yeah. -- you can

10:25

cast it, pay to make a dragon, bounce

10:27

the other one, cast it, pay to

10:29

make another dragon, bounce the other

10:32

one, like, you get you

10:34

can put together a very scary board in

10:36

a very short amount of time with Cloud Stone

10:38

Curio. Yeah. And it also leads directly to some

10:40

infinite stuff which we'll about in the

10:42

second. But other cards that do this sort of

10:44

bouncing thing for cheap would be erratic portal, which

10:46

is also good on defense if you're trying to

10:48

bounce someone else's stuff. And

10:50

then cards like skull collector. I

10:52

love this guy. Yeah. I've never seen this

10:54

card before. It's pretty fun. Pretty cool.

10:55

And I think it's good with returning cobalt

10:58

to your hand. It's three

11:00

mana three three. It's one black, black,

11:02

and it says at the beginning of your upkeep,

11:04

return A0A black creature you

11:06

control to its understand. That works. No.

11:08

That does work with skeletal change laying

11:10

and green shifter. With some of your -- Yeah.

11:12

-- your change laying your change laying guys.

11:14

So you get to reuse that cast trigger

11:16

every time. One of the ones that I

11:18

liked was no rest for the

11:20

wicked. It's one in a black

11:21

for an enchantment. It's a sacrifice no

11:23

rest for the wicked. Return to your hand all creature

11:25

cards that were put there from the graveyard put

11:28

into your graveyard from latest time.

11:30

Okay. So if you have a stack outlet or

11:32

if there was a board wipe, you can sacrifice

11:35

this, get all of the creatures back that

11:37

you had cast, and

11:39

recast them. actually like the rest of the wicking a

11:41

lot because you can play this very early on and

11:43

just have it And just let it sit there. Yeah. And it's

11:45

not gonna eat a removal spell because

11:47

it feels terrible to remove, I

11:50

think, especially when all you're getting back

11:52

is cobalt. Yeah. That come

11:54

with four four dragons occasionally. Yeah.

11:56

So I I think the rest for the

11:58

wicked is some interesting tech here, and I think there's

12:00

gonna be a couple of cards that do

12:02

that. Like Garnet, the Blood Flame does a

12:04

similar thing. Yeah. I really like no rest

12:06

for the wicked. Reminds me of Fortell where

12:08

you pay two men early on and get a really

12:10

cheap thing to cast on that to sort of do

12:12

later on. Yeah. It's a it's it's

12:14

a cool one. Another good effect for like

12:16

this is forexian reclamation. So Oscar

12:18

is great. Is Oscar is always good, especially

12:20

if you want that cast trigger -- Yeah.

12:22

-- it's a and and chairman for a single black that

12:24

says one in a black pay to life

12:27

return target creature card from your

12:29

graveyard to your hand. So again, SAC

12:31

outlets, you can return a cobalt to your hand,

12:33

recast it, get another dragon, enter rebuild

12:35

that board quickly after a board. Right? And just

12:37

good in a lot of deck not just this

12:39

one as well. It's a good one. Any kind of deck that

12:41

plays like Ghana or whatever, then you're good to go

12:43

there. Yeah. I like heirloom

12:45

blade. So it's a three minor r effect

12:47

equipment. Equipment usually gets plus three plus one.

12:49

Equips for one, which is nice with a bunch of

12:51

cobalts into zero ones that are now two threes that

12:53

are now five fours. Whenever

12:55

a quick creature dies, you may reveal cards from the

12:57

top of your library until you reveal a creature card that shares

12:59

the creatures type with them, put that card into your hand and

13:01

the rest on the BOMI library in a random

13:04

order. So you can have a cobalt suited

13:06

up. If it dies or whenever you automatically

13:08

gonna draw a change when you're on cobalt. Again, you're in

13:10

black red, so getting these sort of like

13:12

incremental advantages is really nice.

13:14

Yeah. And it just means that, you

13:16

know, especially with sack outlets in this

13:18

deck because you're reusing cast triggers --

13:20

Yeah. -- having another card in your

13:22

hand to trigger it again is gonna be. really

13:25

important. Yeah. Now if you are going the

13:27

dragon route, there aren't that many cheap

13:29

Manavalli dragons out there. Most of them

13:31

are like Three mana, four mana.

13:33

And so I don't think you care about the

13:35

payoff, which is just A301 Mhmm. But

13:37

certain dragons do like to see other things that are in the

13:39

battlefield. So terror of the peaks

13:41

says whenever another creature enters the battlefield, under your

13:43

control, terror the pigs deal, damage equal to that creature's

13:46

power to any target. So all of them

13:48

so this with cloud some carry on and two zero

13:50

drops, and you have a commander out, they're gonna be three twos

13:52

every single time. Right? Three twos? No. Two

13:54

twrees. Yeah. You'll be able to infinitely deal two

13:56

damage to everyone with tear the peaks out.

13:58

So same with Scrooge of Falcon's, but

14:00

it's about dragons here in the battlefield.

14:02

So again, these are just ways to take

14:04

advantage of that dragon

14:06

side.

14:06

I really like Ganax in this

14:09

deck. It's he's a card

14:10

from from Baldor's Gate. Yeah.

14:12

I've been looking to try and place card more too. It's

14:14

pretty cool. It's a legendary dragon for four

14:16

and red. He's A34

14:16

It says whenever organics or another

14:19

dragon enters the battlefield under your

14:21

control, create a treasure token.

14:23

So if you cast it, that that

14:25

cobalt, you pay the two, you get the dragon, you

14:27

also get a treasure for your trouble. So

14:29

this actually caused one mana each

14:31

time if you're able to keep going out over and

14:33

over again. remember, like, you are getting

14:35

a free two three out of this if you have your

14:37

commander on board. Right. So, like, yeah.

14:39

So a little bit of Dragon

14:41

synergy goes a long way. And don't forget, every time you

14:43

play a change link, you're also getting these

14:45

triggers, four Ganax, four Scrooge

14:47

Balconist that care just about dragons and dragon

14:49

tempest, which is like the ultimate

14:51

wincon in a dragon deck. You

14:53

might also want to play mass hysteria, which gives our

14:55

creatures haste in red. It just costs one man a friend

14:57

of the Chairman. And then

15:00

Aristocrats is another way to go about

15:02

winning. So let's talk about the infinite combo really

15:04

quickly here. Yeah. It's pretty

15:06

simple. It's made possible. Our

15:08

sponsor for this combo today is Cloud Stone

15:10

Curio. Always. If if there's a Cloud

15:12

Stone Curio on the board and you're not dead yet,

15:14

remove it. get it removed. Yeah. Get it off the

15:16

boat. That's definitely one of those. Whoo.

15:19

Yeah. Out of here at all. Big

15:21

trouble. So with that out,

15:23

you can have any of the zero man at cobalt, so crookshank

15:25

cobalt, crimson cobalt, cobalt, as coals of Care Keep,

15:27

or RugRx and the BroGA, and then a card

15:29

like manatek goes. So

15:31

Manaus is too red red for the enchantment. Whenever a creature

15:33

enters the battlefield, you may add an amount of

15:35

colorless man, equal to the number of creatures you

15:37

control that share a creature type

15:39

with it. So you

15:41

get zero one in there and it

15:43

sees you and the other cobalt and it adds

15:45

some mana. And then with Clos on Curio.

15:47

It's bounced back to your hand. You can recast it and you're

15:49

just adding infinite mana. Yeah. And that

15:51

also means you get infinite dragons. So you

15:53

can use that colorless mana to make A44

15:56

flying as well. And if you don't have manassas

15:58

out, you can replace that with astronauts alter, and

16:00

then you're just gonna get infinite, again, enter the

16:02

battlefield abilities from the rogue the rogue sorry.

16:04

The cobalt's coming in and out, and then death

16:06

triggers. because you can stack them from Mana, and so

16:08

you get infinite, you know, you just get a bunch of

16:10

stuff. And so that can be an aristocrat win.

16:13

Yeah. I mean, and If you can't

16:15

figure it out with infinite dragons, there's always a

16:17

blood artist, I guess. But infinite

16:19

dragons pretty good day. infinite dragons

16:21

mass hysteria or any of like

16:23

vicious shadows types Is it Vishishal's? There's a car

16:25

at War Storm surge? I think it's a car at War

16:27

Storm surge. Right. Hand ammonium,

16:29

tear, etcetera, etcetera, the pigs. There's a

16:31

lot of ways that you can go from

16:33

there. Yeah. Okay. So,

16:35

Robra, kinda

16:36

like it. It's kinda fun. Yeah. I think he's

16:38

cool. And I love I love that they

16:40

they have leaned into the cobalt and

16:42

dragons together thing because cobalt's on

16:44

their own is hard to support the whole

16:46

deck. Yeah. because they are so small,

16:48

but it's fun that they get to partner

16:50

with their big big brothers and stuff.

16:52

Yeah. Okay.

16:53

Moving on, we have Sebitri,

16:56

Dragon Master. More dragon. More

16:58

dragons. This is two of blue and the black for a

17:00

planeswalker with four loyalty, and

17:02

Sebitri can be your commander. So speed three has three

17:04

abilities. The plus one is until your next turn,

17:06

creatures can't attack you or planes walkers you

17:08

control unless their controller

17:10

pays two life for each of those

17:12

creatures. So it's but with life. Nourndana.

17:14

Nourndana. Yep. Yeah. A minus three.

17:16

Search your library for a dragon card, reveal

17:18

it, and put it into your hand then

17:21

shuffle, so that takes her from 402 down to one.

17:23

And then should you be able to plus her up enough

17:25

to get to her minus seven? It's

17:27

destroy all non dragon creatures sort of

17:29

like crux of fame. Okay? No.

17:31

I mean, blue black dragons is not something that

17:33

we have seen before. No. And I think commander

17:36

legends, Baldor's gate, added a lot of like, hey, check

17:38

it out. Dragons can be in every

17:40

color. And so I think we're slowly pushing towards that

17:42

a little bit more here with cevitry. So

17:44

I think the thing that I liked the most

17:46

about cevitry, particularly as a build around

17:48

commander is this minus three ability. That lets

17:50

you search for a dragon -- Mhmm. -- because there's

17:53

so many cool dragons and especially

17:55

in blue that

17:56

you can build around

17:58

and build a neat deck

17:59

around. Yeah. It's like a hidden commander.

18:02

Right? You're like -- Perfect. -- I actually want to I

18:04

always gonna mines through to get this Dragon

18:06

out or something else into my hand? Right.

18:08

So if you're like, you know what, I really

18:10

like I really like shimmer dragon and I wanna

18:12

build a deck around shimmer dragon. So Vitri has

18:14

sort of let that non legendary

18:16

dragon be in your command zone based

18:18

on player, caster, and you immediately

18:20

have the card you're looking for in your hand. Yeah.

18:22

Camera Dragon's super cool and makes for

18:24

an artifact build. Mhmm. It's

18:26

for for blue blue. It's a

18:29

dragon creature that says as long as you

18:31

control four or more artifacts, shimmer dragon

18:33

has hex proof and it has an activated

18:35

ability that says tap two artifacts you

18:37

control draw a card. That's

18:39

pretty spicy. It's pretty cool and it has

18:41

hex probes. So once you get it in in play, you can

18:43

kind of do this secret commander thing.

18:45

Yeah. Pretty cool with that. Blue Black artifacts,

18:47

very good archetype as well. There's

18:49

also

18:49

ancient silver dragon, which I love that you put down

18:51

here. The there's a whole series of these ancient dragons,

18:53

there's ancient brass Shrek and which is a

18:55

black version, they're just nuts powerful all

18:58

of them. They're so cool. You're gonna

19:00

roll a d twenty when the deal's combat

19:02

damage both of them. The blue one lets you draw cards equal to the result and

19:04

you have no maximum handsets for the rest of the game.

19:06

It is an amen card and

19:08

then the black versions man of card when when

19:10

it deals combat damage to royalty d twenty and you put

19:12

any number of target creature cards with total Man

19:14

of Value X or less from graveyards,

19:17

onto the battlefield under your control where x is the result.

19:19

So if you ever wanted to have ancient Silver

19:21

Dragon or ancient Brass Dragon, as your

19:23

commander, Well

19:24

guess what? you do that by minus throwing her. One of

19:26

my favorite builder on dragons that has come

19:28

out lately was Ashrol

19:31

Dragon. Like we said, we got a lot of

19:33

new commanders in Baldor's Gate. This is

19:35

one of the commander decks. This is a

19:37

monoblu dragon for six blue blue.

19:39

It's A44 When it enters the bat

19:41

battlefield, you can create two tokens that

19:43

are copies of target non

19:45

creature permanent except their

19:47

three dragon creatures in addition to their

19:49

other types and they have flying. What?

19:52

So if you have like an enchantment in play or if

19:54

you have a propaganda

19:55

and you want, you know, two

19:57

more dragon propagandas, you can do that.

19:59

They're kind of pretty nuts. It's

20:02

pretty cool. It's very expensive.

20:04

Eight man is very expensive to get into

20:06

place, especially in Damir. But

20:08

you do get a choppy opponent stuff

20:10

too. So you could grab rings and make them in a dragon. But

20:12

it's a really cool build around dragon that

20:14

cevitri sort of lets you put in

20:16

your command zone. Yeah.

20:19

also a really neat combo with

20:22

astral dragon. You

20:23

can do it's it's dance of the dead.

20:25

It's a is in aura. It's an it's

20:27

an enchantment that copies stuff. Red.

20:29

So blue. Right? For blue blue. Yeah. So you're gonna have

20:31

your Ashford Dragon come in, copy

20:34

the dance you get two You get two of those,

20:36

you copy the dragon. You get more and

20:38

more and more. You get infinite

20:40

with three three dragons

20:42

and also with summoning sick.

20:44

With summoning sick. Do you have to pay an

20:46

upkeep? Sure do. Sure. Sure.

20:48

That's right. The answer to the dead roof makes you pay

20:50

two man for the upkeep of that. Yeah. So you gotta

20:53

win turn or you just have a really cool turn there. Everyone

20:55

goes nice. Well, that was

20:57

sweet. Yeah. Indeed. Brain

20:59

Stiller Dragon Scourage of Neltoth other

21:01

examples of dragons that you might wanna fetch

21:03

out if you're for the sort of hidden

21:06

commander deck. Now

21:08

blue black dragons, we don't see again many dragon tribal

21:10

commanders that care about specifically blue and

21:12

black because they just haven't been that many historically.

21:15

But lots of cards will work well with any dragon travel decks.

21:17

So Harold Thorn or his incubator crux

21:19

of fate, which is basically

21:21

a Sotheby's minus seven -- Mhmm. --

21:24

Dragons hoard is a card that you keep seeing

21:26

come up over and over again. And then

21:28

Menari ancient merchant of

21:30

marbles is unique cast Dragons! Plus and RFX Plus, as

21:32

though they had flash. So Donari's

21:34

pretty sweet, especially in

21:36

blue, like the ability to sneak these

21:38

big scary things into play. Yeah.

21:40

You're holding up a ton of mana -- Yeah.

21:42

-- to cast some of these sometimes. For

21:44

sure. And so it's not having

21:46

to commit to the board at the last minute. Yeah.

21:49

Until the last minute is very cool.

21:51

I could see Renari and shimmer Dragons

21:53

sort of being in the same build and having a lot of

21:55

fun there. There's also -- Yeah. -- this orb

21:57

of dragon kind, which is, again, of all about

21:59

artifacts.

21:59

Yeah. I I think there's

22:01

like, if you're

22:02

building Cevitri and you're just

22:04

like, you know what? I build dragons. Yeah.

22:06

I think you're gonna have a tough time. There's not a lot

22:08

of the dragon support because you don't have

22:10

red. Yeah. But these dragons

22:12

do sort of live in similar categories.

22:15

You could just build, you know, I'm gonna

22:17

build an artifact deck and I'm

22:19

gonna focus on something like Renari --

22:21

Totally. -- for a shimmer dragon that you can

22:23

put in steel helkite and something

22:25

like a lapis orb of dragon

22:27

kind or a dragon sword. which

22:30

we've mentioned all of those, but it gives you sort

22:32

of this like artifacty dragon build. Mhmm. So

22:34

you do have to focus the ninety nine

22:37

around whatever dragons you're really looking

22:39

for, I think. Yeah. And I do like this.

22:41

Signature also works well in the dragon deck, by the

22:43

way, because it creates a propaganda effect when

22:45

you make it, and a lot of people

22:47

just won't attack you. So as a future

22:49

kind of protects yourself in that way, which

22:51

is nice. Mhmm. So there's cards like propaganda,

22:54

obviously, coast controls. never seen before. Mister Gonzales,

22:56

thanks for adding this to my lexicon. Do you

22:58

want to read it? Yeah. So coast control

23:00

is a an enchant world

23:02

All of those. It's an enchantment for

23:05

two black, black that

23:05

says during your upkeep, tap, target

23:08

untapped creature

23:08

you control, or destroy it.

23:10

no creature can attack you unless its controller

23:12

pays an additional two whenever that creature

23:15

attacks. Yeah. So it's basically broken. And

23:17

in black that you do have to pay a little

23:19

bit of an upkeep for it. It's just nothing creature you control.

23:21

Yep. Yep. And then there's collective

23:23

restraint. That's gonna be for four mana because you're gonna

23:25

only have two basic land types. So there's a lot

23:27

and then oh, yeah. Wartex as well. Two in the

23:29

blue. x and blue, creatures can attack this

23:31

turn unless their control plays x for each

23:33

attack and creature. This is really nice with Renari.

23:36

because you can hold up man now, you wanna cast something and

23:38

you're like, you know what, x is gonna be

23:40

three in the blue this time, and I still have

23:42

enough man to cast my thing -- Yeah. -- and stop

23:44

everyone from coming at me. Wartex is great

23:46

if you've got a ton of man gives

23:48

you -- Yeah. -- it it lets you pick

23:50

and choose who can attack when

23:52

and only use your man out, you know, with this. Yeah.

23:54

So I'm I'm just paying one and the blue is enough to stop

23:56

someone because that's big tax on them

23:58

to try and attack you. Yeah. Of

23:59

course. Okay. So let's

24:01

say we do wanna channel our inner dragons

24:03

here and we touch on a

24:05

little bit already, but there are a lot of different dragon toolbox

24:08

ideas. So with artifacts, again, there's

24:10

shimmer dragon, which will just say

24:12

I let's say, we you wanna build any of these, you hear

24:14

some ideas for you. So if you're going for an artifact

24:16

dragon, build a Sabitry, you got shimmer dragon,

24:18

which we talked about, Steel Hellkite, Renari,

24:20

and then just Lots of artifacts. Pretty

24:23

simple. If you

24:23

want to go like aristocrats, dragons,

24:26

then you got a bunch of dragons that like

24:29

to die. Yeah. Kokuso being the famous,

24:31

most famous of them. Whenever

24:33

Kokuso dies, each opponent loses

24:34

five life. You gain life equal to the life

24:37

loss

24:37

this way. pretty good, which is a bit.

24:39

Yeah. In Junji, the midnight sky is the

24:41

new Kamagawa series of of, I don't know, I'll

24:43

say, dinosaurs. Dragons. And they all have

24:46

death triggers. So

24:49

ancient brass dragon as well,

24:51

I think works in the sort of

24:53

aristocrats thing. It's whenever it deals comment down. Oh, we

24:55

already said one. You get Yeah. This is the

24:57

reanimator reanimator one. It's

24:59

being reanimator ebb and death. Drakul

25:01

Drakulich likes to be in the graveyard. You can

25:03

cast it from the graveyard as well.

25:05

Yeah. And blue gives you plenty of, like, mill

25:07

stuff to get these dragons into your graveyard if you

25:09

wanna do a more dragon or graveyard

25:12

focus. built of of a

25:14

Cevitry. You can make basically with

25:16

Cevitry a Skidarex blue black

25:18

insect deck because she

25:20

cheaters out. Skidarex. Yeah. And and

25:22

being model black Skidarex is everyone's gonna

25:24

wanna kill you because they know what's happening, but now you

25:26

can sneak it out on them. Yeah.

25:28

If you wanna start with the control room, there's

25:30

solemn guard, the drifting death, which I think was kind

25:32

of the de facto. It was either this one

25:34

or the one that steals one, the other solemn guard. Yeah.

25:36

these are the defacto prior to this

25:38

blue black dragon commander. Mhmm. And

25:40

then there's, you know, death bring a region,

25:43

bring still a dragon we mentioned, and then Dragon

25:45

Lord Simagar as well. that's sort of like the

25:47

theft route. And then, like you

25:49

said, if you wanna go combo, you have Ashul

25:51

Dragon and and Dan

25:53

Simba. Yeah. a neat a

25:54

neat build that I was thinking about. I mean, I

25:56

have an Orver deck. I know Josh has an

25:58

Orver deck. Oh, yeah.

25:59

Orver. You can use Cevitre to get

26:02

Orver into your hand. and now you

26:04

have a blue black or of our deck because he's

26:06

a change lane. Yeah. That's right.

26:08

So you can if if you wanna do

26:10

is do secret secret or bar and sneak

26:12

it into play. You can't you can find

26:15

them with cevitri as well.

26:17

Is there a lot of spicy additions in

26:19

black that target creatures like Orvar, that's

26:21

good. There's a lot of, like, whenever this

26:23

creature dies, you can bring a thing back -- Right. -- which

26:25

adds just sort of an interesting stormar.

26:28

So it definitely changes things. Yeah. We're trying to

26:30

kill Orva. Right? Oh, for

26:32

sure. And I I like it taking

26:34

him out of the command zone a little bit, and it

26:36

gives you better tutors is the other thing. Yeah. And you're in blue black, so you

26:38

can always reanimate it, find other ways to

26:40

protect it, bring it back to the graveyard or front to the

26:42

outfield and all that. Yeah. I think that's

26:44

kind of a neat way to do Cevitri. If you

26:46

do wanna go all in on dragons That's

26:48

cool. Yes. Cevitri just might be the best blue

26:50

black changing link commander there's ever been because you

26:52

can just tutor it out. Okay.

26:54

Savitry, thank you for being the Master of

26:56

Dragons! We appreciate you bringing a little

26:58

bit of that spice to the blue black world. This

27:00

next one is sweet and I'm I'm

27:02

really excited to go through

27:04

this one. So this is

27:07

staying echo warriors

27:09

staying with two cheeses back.

27:11

and his brother. So

27:14

for two, a red and a green, you get

27:16

A34 human warrior.

27:18

It says whenever staying echo warrior attacks

27:21

create

27:21

staying, twin,

27:23

a legendary three four red and green

27:25

human warrior creature token, It enters

27:27

the battlefield tapped and attacking. For each aura

27:30

and equipment attached to staying

27:32

create a token, that's a copy of it,

27:34

attached to staying twin.

27:36

then sacrifice all tokens created this way at the beginning of

27:38

the next end step. Oh,

27:41

wait. Okay. So

27:41

pretty sweet. Pretty sweet. This

27:44

is gruel. staying used

27:46

to

27:46

just make staying twin. It just it

27:48

was a six man at three four that made another

27:50

three four. Yeah. But staying twin

27:52

is coming in with a lot more than

27:54

just himself. So any aura or equipment

27:56

that's attached to the original staying gets put onto

27:58

the new one, they're all token copies.

28:00

then they get sacrificed at the beginning of the next end step.

28:03

And it's only when staying attacks, so it

28:05

doesn't mean to be combat damage during that stuff. So you get

28:07

this extra one in tapped

28:09

in attacking. Notably, it doesn't

28:11

have to attack the player that Stang is

28:13

attacking. You can declare a separate attacker on

28:15

the attacker. Yeah. Twins are allowed to make

28:17

different decision. They don't have to do

28:19

everything together. Exactly. We're

28:21

different people. So obviously, we see

28:24

an end up trigger, the first question is, does

28:26

this work with Sundal of the infinite? And

28:29

yes,

28:29

yes, it does. So when that trigger goes

28:31

on, stack, you pay one taps on the eliot,

28:33

end the turn, activate the ability only during

28:35

a turn, and then all spells and abilities that

28:37

are on the stack are exiled.

28:39

So then if you get a keep staying twin and you get to keep the token

28:41

copies of the aura and the equipment. Pretty cool.

28:43

You can re equip the equipment to something else

28:46

next turn. You can actually you can actually put it

28:48

back on the original staying, have them attacking it and

28:50

make another copy of it. Of course,

28:52

with the legendary rule, staying Twin will

28:54

see a version of it and be like, sorry. can't

28:56

be can't be here with with that. Only

28:58

be one stang twin -- Yeah.

29:00

-- unless unless you combine

29:02

it with Mirabox a mirror

29:04

gallery then you get staying triplets. There's

29:08

more and more brothers. Yep.

29:10

So both mirror box and mirror gallery have

29:13

similar effects The primary one here is the

29:15

legend rule doesn't apply to permanence you

29:17

control. Yeah. So once you have

29:19

staying twin, you can have another

29:21

staying twin and have more staying

29:23

twins. You can handle the host and staying twin it

29:25

up. It's just the Spider Man meme, but --

29:27

Yeah. -- sting but sting. And

29:29

then the stings are just really buff because

29:32

they have stuff equipped in order on them. And of

29:34

course,

29:34

you can even add on parallel lives

29:36

and doubling season, so this is gonna double

29:38

the tokens you make.

29:41

And then you can also gain extra combat as

29:43

well. You know, you can play relentless assault,

29:45

combat caliber, and aggravated assault seize

29:47

the day. or Carlock Fiery

29:49

of Averness. So basically,

29:51

if I was to play this deck, I would a

29:53

hundred percent try and be playing Mirabox. I'm the one

29:55

that swing was staying a bunch of times

29:57

so that I get four or five different

29:59

staying twins and they're all equipped out

30:01

of their minds. I

30:04

mirror bugs make versus such a mess

30:06

I love it. So Yeah. Mailbox definitely, especially

30:08

with staying. There's just it's just it

30:10

seems very fun. Okay. Double

30:13

parallel. Time to talk about how parallel lives in doubling

30:15

season works with staying twin. Yes. I

30:17

had to look this up five times. It

30:19

is confusing. And then we had to ask everyone

30:21

in the office, and then we had to ask some of the wizards

30:23

to figure it out. because first, it makes

30:25

an extra token. And then it makes all the copies

30:27

of the other stuff. But where

30:29

do those go? Right. So let's say

30:31

we have one staying out

30:34

one staying echo warrior, and we have one

30:37

equipment on it.

30:37

So it's got one, let's

30:39

say, lightning graves. Yeah.

30:41

So Stan goes to combat, and we have doubling

30:44

season now, not both paralyzed, double just one. Yes.

30:46

And they have the same as same text, which is if an

30:48

effect would put one or more tokens on the battlefield

30:50

under control, it puts twice many of those tokens

30:52

instead in staying.

30:54

So staying swings and it's

30:56

gonna

30:56

create staying twin, but it's actually gonna

30:58

create two staying twins because of

31:00

doubling season. And then it's gonna see all the

31:02

ore and equipment on staying and it's gonna

31:05

create two copies of that. However, they

31:08

only go on one of the

31:10

staying twins. So you will make in this

31:12

case two lightningreeves and that

31:14

lightningreeves will go on one staying

31:16

twin. It will not go on the the other one.

31:18

The other staying twin will be naked,

31:20

just staying --

31:21

Uh-huh. -- himself. He lost all

31:23

the nutrients in the womb. They all went

31:26

to one you wonder it to brother. Like, why isn't my

31:28

brother so buff? Yeah. So it's a little

31:30

confusing. I I

31:30

was like, no. You make four. You don't

31:32

make two, but you make two because

31:35

is staying himself the original staying

31:37

echo where you're making it and it's gonna double it

31:39

from there. So

31:41

a little confusing. but how it works. And

31:43

every single token also has that same sacrifice at

31:46

the beginning of the end step clause. So it's not like any of

31:48

them get around. Yeah. So this

31:50

token all get sacrificed at the same time. Yeah. And

31:52

they get equipped in pairs.

31:54

Okay. Now let's talk about some

31:56

strategy.

31:57

So I think with

31:59

the deck. He he can copy both artifacts

32:01

and in in or both equipment and

32:03

oras. Yeah. But I think you really wanna

32:05

focus the deck on over the

32:07

other. Like, there can be bits of of this

32:09

and that, but to get the synergy you

32:11

need to make this work, I think really

32:13

focusing on aura's focusing on equipment

32:16

is is the way to go. The way to

32:18

go. So I personally like or

32:20

is butter for staying because you're in

32:22

green. You have this port of all of the

32:24

enchantresses -- I am. -- and you have so you have this

32:26

car draw engine sort of already built

32:28

in. And there's a lot of suite

32:30

or Yeah. They do

32:32

a lot of stuff. That

32:33

have a lot of yeah. And

32:36

have a lot of ETB stuff.

32:38

Yeah. I agree. I think equipment are

32:40

clunky to begin with. and they're

32:42

still good. Right? If you can get two sort of

32:44

feasts and famines out because of staying

32:47

and get double the trigger of

32:49

that when it hits someone. Pretty good. that's

32:51

pretty darn good. And again, Black Green Protection is

32:53

gonna but at the core of

32:55

it, you're gonna

32:55

run out of steam really fast. You're gonna run out of

32:58

staying really quickly. So

33:01

it's I think you wanna use or as

33:03

I agree. Yeah. But that

33:05

being said, there are some suite equipments that you

33:07

can include in the deck I think, mask of

33:09

memory is really cool. You get to draw two

33:11

whenever any stang deals damage. Oh. If

33:13

you have gotten the exoskeleton, it makes them both

33:15

in the five, six. and then that's the instant

33:18

kill if no one's got blockers. That's pretty

33:20

good. Yeah. You can get those things

33:22

through there. It's

33:24

gonna sting. So there that's that's

33:26

that's only gonna sting. That

33:28

one will leave a mark. That will leave a sting.

33:30

Correct. Okay. Oh,

33:32

I like this. You made this note.token copies don't have a back, so

33:34

cards like dousing dagger will not transform.

33:37

Yeah. Sorry. No.

33:39

That's okay. But

33:41

the I think the I got ahead of myself

33:43

a little bit, but I think the enchantress is a really

33:45

cool way to go because you have our

33:47

gothian enchantress, enchantress' presence

33:49

for Duran enchantress, Insettison

33:52

Champion. These are all cards that say whenever

33:54

an enchantment will need to cast any

33:56

chance. Well, some of them So

33:58

our gothian enchangers and enchangers his

33:59

presence and and Verdura enchangers

34:02

all say whenever you cast an enchangers bell draw

34:04

card. So that's whenever you put

34:06

is put one on original saying your draw a card. Still

34:08

pretty good. The ones that are insane

34:11

in the stack, are

34:12

the Constellation enchantresses. And that's Edison, Champion,

34:16

and the other one that's in

34:18

in champion itself. says that's whenever in

34:20

the champion enters the battlefield, you press plus and plus

34:22

counter on the champion, any draw card. So So

34:24

for every so when

34:25

you make the token copies of Oroz

34:27

and they enter the battlefield

34:29

onto the second twin, you draw a card

34:31

for each one that enters. Yeah.

34:33

That's pretty pretty

34:36

good. So every time

34:37

you attack, if you make,

34:39

like, two two or a copies, you draw two cards.

34:41

Yeah. You draw two cards. So you can do

34:44

some really some really sweet stuff with Auris in

34:46

this deck. And I think because you're putting

34:48

Auris on, staying, you really,

34:50

really want the card advantage, so you don't get hugely

34:52

blown out -- Yeah. -- biweekly

34:54

removal as well. Yeah. And there's actually

34:56

a lot of cards. So now that we're

34:58

making oras enter the battlefield, there is a

35:00

whole list of enter the battlefield oras that could

35:02

be really good. So cartouche

35:04

of strength This one's cool. Yeah. When there is the battlefield, you may have in chain a

35:06

creature fight target creature in opponent controls, and

35:08

it gives your creature plus one plus one

35:10

then trample. So it's gonna enter

35:12

again with staying twin, you can have it fight something

35:14

else, get some blockers out of the way.

35:16

Mhmm. You also have great ones

35:18

like dragon mantle. This card

35:20

I think is this is really

35:22

where the deck starts to shine because they're all one

35:24

man in chains that draw cards.

35:26

So Dragon mantle is a red man effort and a chan

35:28

creature when the Aaron's Baffo draw card and then it gives

35:30

it fire waiting so it can play a red to get plus one plus o's end up turn.

35:32

But, yeah, you put it on staying.

35:33

You draw a card. You attack. Make a copy. Put

35:35

it goes on staying to win, and you get another

35:37

ETB. You draw

35:40

another card. Yep. A similar card is frog

35:42

tongue. This is art. It's

35:44

amazing. It's old school

35:46

folio. So when frog tongue comes

35:48

into play,

35:48

into play draw

35:49

card. And then it says enchanted

35:51

creature can block creatures with flying. So

35:54

it's like a black tongue. That gives a reach. You can

35:56

snap them right out of the air.

35:58

It gives the Stang Brothers a horrifying

35:59

duck. One of the better ones I

36:02

think is Edison

36:04

training. It's another thing when it comes

36:06

in, you draw a card. Mhmm. And it gives

36:08

this equipped or the

36:10

enchanted sting plus one plus o

36:12

and trample. Yeah. That's

36:14

really nice. There's cards that also

36:16

care about damage triggers. So if you know your stings are

36:18

getting through because you've getting them trample or whatever you got

36:20

snake umbra, which has toad them armor, so

36:22

it's great. It's gonna protect your

36:24

original stang. and it's whenever this creature deals damage to an opponent may draw

36:26

card, which is really nice. I actually really like

36:28

galvanic arc. This

36:30

one's sweet. This is a

36:32

three

36:32

manna red aura. This is nuts, I

36:34

think. That's it. When it comes into play, it deals three

36:36

damage to target, creature, or player.

36:39

So every time you make a token copy or in Chanticleer as first

36:41

strikes, it also gets it first strike. But the important

36:43

thing is the ETB -- Yeah. -- comes in and

36:46

can lighting bold something every time

36:48

you attack with your staying bro bro bro bro bro

36:50

bros. And let's say the opponent has a

36:52

six stuff in this creature, you have got found

36:54

a cart hit it for three, and then you're

36:56

staying has for a strike.

36:58

So they are not gonna block because it

37:00

just kills their thing. It's huge. Yeah. It's

37:02

And you can shoot yeah. You can deal damage

37:04

to it, and so they can't block with it.

37:06

Yeah. Now, don't forget the tokens get sacrificed,

37:08

so you also care about Ora's that like to leave the battlefield.

37:10

This one? Okay. This

37:14

one's so sweet in the stick. So this is a new. This is

37:16

a kamigawa card. It's called one with the

37:18

kami. Three in a green friend,

37:20

Chairman, aura with flash. It

37:23

says enchant creature you control -- Yep. --

37:25

whenever enchanted creature or another

37:28

modified creature

37:30

you control, dives. Mhmm. Create

37:30

X11 colorless spirit creature tokens where

37:33

x is that creature's power. Wait. So

37:35

staying will see his

37:37

twin die. Yes. So you get two one with the

37:39

commi triggers when all the tokens are -- Yes. Yeah. --

37:42

at least 611 --

37:44

Right. -- microcontroller

37:46

tokens just with staying without like a power boost. Right. So you

37:48

enchant the original staying attack, make a

37:50

token copy, you sacrifice the

37:52

three four, both but one with the

37:54

commies c,

37:56

the sacrifice trigger. Right. And you make you make six little one ones.

37:59

And if you buff the power up anymore, you

38:01

can make a real a

38:05

real lot of of spirit tokens.

38:07

Add in haste, add in the second attack step, and you are really cooking with

38:10

fire. Pretty good. Pattern

38:14

of rebirth, enchant creature, whenever enchant creature dies, that creature's control

38:16

and may search their library for a creature card, put

38:18

that card on the battlefield and shuffle their library.

38:20

So just free creature

38:22

tutor with staying every single

38:24

time. The battlefield -- Yes. -- straight to the

38:26

battlefield. Bequeathel?

38:28

didn't realize this was a real card. Yep. One green, and then chain of creatures

38:31

put into a graveyard that draw two

38:33

cards. Yeah. So that's just a free card

38:35

draw at the end. seems

38:38

just really really good. I this one

38:40

is a fruit of the first tree. For three

38:42

and a green, it says when enchanted creature

38:44

dies, you gain x life and

38:47

draw x cards where x is its

38:50

toughness. Yeah. So you draw four

38:52

cards even if you just sacrifice the

38:54

regular stang and you haven't buffed his power. Yeah. See

38:56

it myself. is typically

38:58

these types of ors you would

39:00

rarely play in commander, but because you know

39:02

you're gonna make another staying that

39:04

is gonna see and die and have all these

39:06

triggers happen, then they're much much

39:08

better. Yeah. I think that's a lot of

39:10

value. And refilling your

39:12

hand, so again, in case there's a board wipe or in case there's a removable

39:14

foam and you haven't overcommitted with these

39:16

ours is really important. Yeah.

39:18

Stickie fingers too.

39:20

This is all star and limited for Nucapena. And give us

39:22

a creature menace. And then when the most common damage, you

39:24

make a treasure token. But also when the creature dies,

39:26

you draw a card. So you're just getting a

39:28

lot of

39:30

value there. for Dan just one red manta. Manta of

39:32

the wolf is similar. It gives it plus four

39:34

plus four. And then when it's put into the graveyard, you

39:36

create two green two two wolf

39:38

creature tokens. So again,

39:40

they see there's two of them.

39:42

Yeah. So I really like this category the most

39:44

actually because I think relying on

39:46

having, like, a

39:48

mailbox out you can keep your staying twins around. Or or your, you know,

39:50

Sunday Looza is it's cute, but you're

39:52

most likely staying is gonna be dying.

39:54

So having these extra little bits of of

39:56

things here Oh, man.

39:58

It really doesn't pull your head, I

40:00

think. Yeah. There's a

40:02

there's a lot

40:02

of really cool ETBs that you can do here

40:05

and dice triggers to give you a lot of extra value. That

40:07

wouldn't normally happen because you keep the ores in play,

40:10

but you still get the dies trigger. Yeah.

40:12

Yeah. Yeah. And then if you

40:14

just care about damage, you can be

40:16

playing like your snake umbras and your boar

40:18

umbras, ancestral

40:20

mask just gets in for much because it's two plus enchantment.

40:22

Collossification when there is a bounty

40:24

to tap the enchanted creature, but that's okay.

40:28

because that staying twin is already tapped in attacking and now

40:30

it's gonna be a twenty plus twenty. Pretty.

40:32

That's a that's a big brother.

40:36

That's a Whoa. My

40:38

brother's cute. Whoa. Whoa.

40:40

Yeah. Pretty crazy.

40:42

And then I also like cards like

40:44

indomitable mite. So green and green in chance

40:46

the creature gets plus three plus three with flash and

40:49

it's made deal it made signs

40:51

comment damage as though it weren't blocked. Yeah. It's

40:53

just a way to get in for that last bit of damage. Especially with an ancestral mask,

40:55

then you're just killing someone

40:57

at that turn. In

40:59

a deck

41:00

like this, it is

41:01

incredibly important

41:02

to protect saying. Your whole deck

41:04

relies around you having staying

41:07

in play. So do not forget protection spells

41:09

like Tamios safekeeping to give

41:11

stang a hex group and a

41:13

destructible. Heroic intervention always goes in

41:15

decks like this. Another cool one that came out recently is

41:17

silk guard. Oh, this is really nice. It

41:20

is a a green instant

41:22

for x and a green. It

41:24

says put a plus one counter on each of up

41:26

to ex target creatures you control and They

41:28

say ex equal to zero, by the way.

41:30

Yeah.

41:30

And bora's

41:32

equipment and modified creatures you control gain hacks proof until end

41:34

of turn. Wow. So that gives all of

41:37

your ours and equipment on

41:38

staying hacks proof and also

41:42

you staying and the Twin? The Twin. Yeah. Yeah. And it's

41:44

great. You can just pay it for a green man that out of nowhere

41:46

because you don't care about the plus and plus encounter. All the

41:48

creatures are already modified. Yeah.

41:52

Nice. You can also just play like twelve

41:54

foot boots. Yeah. Lightning

41:56

Groves. Lightning Groves is a little worse because

41:58

you can't. throw us,

42:00

you know, can't and can't aura it unless you put the

42:02

grooves on something else. Gotta be careful about this route.

42:04

Yeah. Yeah. Very nice.

42:06

There isn't there's one where we have to

42:08

mention because it's

42:08

incredible. It's Chishiro, the shattered blade.

42:11

Yeah. Posty played this on on a

42:13

Game Night episode, and it cares about

42:16

modified creatures. It says whenever an

42:18

aura or equipment enters the battlefield under your control, create A22 red

42:20

spirit creature token with men

42:24

making lots of things under the

42:26

battlefield. Thanks to staying twin. Yeah. And then

42:28

you can put

42:28

counters on it at the end of turn, but that

42:30

that puts a lot of a lot of two

42:32

two boys and two boys. Yeah. You also have herald in case

42:34

you just drop a classification into the

42:37

graveyard and this attacks. Yeah. So it gives

42:39

you it gives you a really big

42:41

attack. And then there's Fekundity, which is whenever a creature

42:43

die, that creature's controller may draw a card.

42:45

So again, sitting down, dying all the time. So,

42:47

yeah, I like staying a lot. He's

42:49

so fun. And I like, we just

42:51

haven't seen a commander that makes

42:54

token enchantments quite like

42:56

this. Yeah. And

42:58

even to that degree. Yeah. Or there's a whole route, which is just like, hey, I

43:00

just want I care about the token things that they're making

43:02

and I want those.

43:04

But staying we've already

43:06

out listed a bunch of different ways to play it, and

43:08

I think there's a lot of different options here. It's

43:10

already something around there. I'm excited to see some stand

43:12

builds. Yeah. Me too. I might build one

43:14

myself for those.

43:14

The next one is Tetsuo Imperial Champion.

43:17

For a blue, a black, and

43:19

a red, it's a legend or a human

43:21

samurai for it's A33

43:24

says whenever Tetsuo attacks, if it's equipped, choose

43:26

one.

43:26

The first option is Tetsuo

43:28

deals damage equal to the highest man

43:30

of value among equipment attached to it,

43:33

any target. k. The second one is you may

43:35

cast an instant or source from your hand

43:38

with man value less than or equal to the

43:40

highest man value among equipments

43:42

attached to Tetsuo without paying its

43:44

manifest. Okay. There's a lot happening

43:46

here. Detsil cares about equipment, though,

43:48

specifically, and high man of value or just man

43:50

of value of equipment. Yeah. When it

43:52

deals damage, if it's equipped, you can either have

43:54

him do damage, or you can cast

43:56

instance for surgeries for free, again,

43:58

based on the man value of the equipment that's attached

43:59

to him. So the

44:00

first question here is, what are the high main

44:03

value equipments? What are the highest

44:05

ones? Yeah. And also recognizing that

44:07

it's a trap to only play high man value equipments

44:09

because you just want to get an extra man, like one man and two

44:11

man, whatever it is out of the the

44:14

triggers here. but

44:16

the best card probably is gonna be Amberclay. Amberclay by

44:18

a long way. Yeah. So it's a

44:20

flash, four red red artifact equipment.

44:23

It costs one less to cast for each attack and

44:25

creature you control. And then when it enters the

44:27

battlefield, you automatically attach it to target

44:29

creature you control. and then it gets plus

44:31

one plus one then has double strike and trample. So it's a

44:34

little interesting because of the timing here. You

44:36

can't have

44:38

Tetsuo attack because it

44:40

says one in attacks. If it's equipped, you gotta

44:42

choose one. So if you attack and then

44:44

emricleive it onto a test. So I do not believe

44:46

it actually sees the armor sleeve on him for the attack trigger. Unless, it's

44:48

already equipped with something smaller. Like, it's with

44:50

foot boots or, you know Yeah.

44:54

Exactly. a cheaper one. Yeah. Which probably is what you're gonna do. Tetsuo

44:56

already has equipment and you

44:58

attack, it sees a thing, you get to choose

45:00

one, and then you get to ember cleave it out

45:02

attack it attach it and then

45:04

say, alright. I wanna cast something for six

45:06

or less or whatever. Mhmm. And you can

45:08

potentially cast it for cheaper based on how

45:10

you're attacking. Argenta Marmer is

45:11

another good one, especially if

45:13

you're focusing on a

45:14

on like a free equip. Yeah. deck

45:18

because it is expensive. Argentina armor

45:20

is a six man equipment

45:22

where a quick creature gets plus six plus six and

45:24

whenever a quick creature attacks destroy Target

45:26

permanent. Okay. Here's the kicker,

45:28

equip six. Whoof.

45:30

So you really do have to find a way to

45:32

get around that equipment cost, which is a

45:34

little tricky in access. Yeah. You don't have white which

45:37

is like cigarless aid, but there are some

45:39

cards and we'll talk about them a little bit later.

45:41

You also have METEORIC MACE. This is for red

45:43

red. It has cast scade, but it's a

45:45

Quip gives us Critter plus four plus trample. And then you have an

45:47

interesting nonbow a little bit with cards like

45:49

Culture Complete and Batter School because they do enter

45:51

the battlefield attach to

45:54

a germ token. Mhmm. And calls are complete cost seven to

45:56

equip to something else. Batter score cost five

45:58

to equip. So this is basically sucking up

46:01

your entire turn. If you

46:03

wanna do this, So I'm not sure you actually wanna go the route where

46:05

you're like trying to get the max value out of

46:08

Tetsuo by putting really high man value

46:10

stuff on him because it's just gonna

46:12

suck up all your mana and it's you might get blown

46:14

out. I agree. It's gonna be the

46:16

more

46:16

expensive and powerful equipment are

46:18

the the more difficult

46:20

that they use. They are, and

46:22

a like, a removal fell in response to equipping,

46:24

and our gentle armor is back breaking.

46:28

Yeah. That's something. Mhmm. So you do have a

46:30

medium man value equipment, like Moon

46:33

Silver Spear, Nightailash, So

46:36

nightwear lash I like a lot -- Yeah. -- because of the clip costs.

46:38

Right? Exactly. So nightwear lash

46:40

is a four man equipment that

46:43

says the equip creature you control gets plus one plus

46:45

one for each swamp you control. You're in

46:47

crisis, so hopefully, you know, maybe two

46:49

or three. And then the equip is

46:51

pay three life. So you can cast

46:53

this the turn. You cast it's

46:54

a tattoo on turn three. Mhmm. You cast

46:56

nightmare lash on turn four, and you can

46:58

equip it for free and attack

47:01

once tattooed -- Yeah. -- does not have my life. Now, bev,

47:03

does not have summoning sickness. Similar

47:06

to packed weapon, this is a

47:08

quip cost of scarce the card and

47:10

you get to sort of reveal the top card

47:12

of your library and you give

47:14

the creature plus x plus x and you lose x

47:16

life or x to the cards manually. So it could

47:18

just make your creature really big. But, again, does not cost anything to

47:20

equip. Yeah. Nice. The

47:22

step sorry. It costs a car to equip, but

47:24

it doesn't cost you mana specifically.

47:27

And then there's like low man and value equipment. So if

47:30

you're wanting to play your Swift of boots, lightning,

47:32

grieves, bassless collar, all

47:34

that stuff. If you just wanna get some damage in, if you just wanna get a

47:36

trigger, like, get a get a little bit of

47:38

value cast at 2CMC Yeah. So

47:40

I think

47:42

the sweet spot is between one and three mana.

47:44

Ideally, you can cast it before. You have to

47:46

cast tetsuo, so you can just equip it on the

47:48

turn. You can swing. Mhmm.

47:50

But fortunately,

47:52

free. Yes, please. There's a lots of spells that you're happy to cast

47:54

for free that are three man of value and

47:56

less. All the tutors in

48:00

these colors Vampari tutor, mystical tutor, gamble.

48:02

They're all one man in value. So you can just

48:04

have even the Vasylus collar

48:06

or a

48:08

Sun's spirit. Sun shadow spirit. There we go.

48:10

Sun shadow Sun

48:14

nightmare spirit. you can also

48:16

cast cards like brainstorm off of

48:18

this. If you have a higher man value stuff,

48:20

then you have, like, frantic

48:22

search or factor fiction.

48:24

Casting franchise search for free

48:26

is pretty good. Yeah. Because when it resolves

48:28

it, untapped's up to three lands.

48:30

Yeah. And then, you know, you got ponder,

48:32

preordain, opt, You can catch

48:34

removal with this as well, rapid

48:36

hybridization, terminate cast warp,

48:38

reality shift, and

48:40

frontal grasp. There's so many different things you can cast in these

48:42

colors, your Grixis. It's a spells

48:44

matter type of combination of stuff. I

48:46

think that's

48:48

the sweet spot. You wanna figure out what is your average CMC or man value

48:50

of your equipment, and then not putting in

48:52

so many, like, 456 drop instances. So

48:54

he's thinking you're in the castroom for free.

48:57

instead just knowing that Tetsuo is gonna get out there and swing and give

49:00

you a lot well, sort of that small incidental

49:02

val value. Maybe you're

49:04

casting an extra combat spell as well with

49:06

it, so you can swing twice, cast two

49:08

things. But I like that served

49:10

as the balance. Caesar today is a great

49:12

option in this because It's 4CMC

49:14

so it's a little bit higher, but it's untapped target creature

49:16

after this main phase. There's an additional combat

49:18

phase followed by an additional main phase.

49:20

So it's in flashback for two year. has flashbacks. So gives you a couple extra

49:23

combat with Tetsuo, a little bit more

49:25

value. Yep. And you

49:28

can shoot shoot some damage

49:30

around if you don't have any more instance on

49:32

the sourcearies. Okay. Let's talk about

49:34

how it gets. Let's say you are you know, you wanna

49:36

put those big manna value equipment

49:38

onto the battlefield. You can sheet it in,

49:40

in these colors. It's a little bit

49:42

more difficult, a little more setup, but it

49:44

works. Yeah. I think Goblin Molders pretty cool

49:46

in a deck like this. GotlandWelder

49:48

is a gotland artificially for red. You

49:50

can tap it. Choose target artifact. That

49:53

player controls and

49:56

target artifact. card in that player's graveyard. If both targets are still in

49:58

play, you sacrifice the artifact to control

50:00

and you switch it for the one in the graveyard. Yeah. You can

50:02

also do two opponents. Let's say they have a really sweet

50:04

sword ring out. You

50:06

wanna just switch it for some

50:08

other thing that, like, a low dose pillow or whatever, sucks comparatively.

50:10

And you can mess with them. But really, you

50:12

wanna be using this for your

50:15

up. So you got your faithful slooting or

50:17

your frantic searches or wheels.

50:19

You're just carding the cards and then

50:21

your goblin willing amount. Yeah. You can see your

50:23

the big equipment into play and get that max value out

50:25

of it if that's the direction that you'd like to go.

50:27

Yeah. The ready Scratchavant does a very similar

50:30

thing as

50:32

well. a minus two, you get a bring back battlefield.

50:34

If you're going that route,

50:36

I think you're also going

50:38

to need a way to equip things

50:41

for for Right? Because -- -- like our gentle armor, some of these

50:43

equip costs are very high. Mhmm. So something I

50:45

love in this deck is hammer of

50:47

Nissan. Great card. It's when the hammer of

50:49

Nissan or another equipment enters

50:51

the battlefield under your control, you may attach the

50:53

equipment to target creature you control, so it just

50:56

auto equips. Mhmm. And every other equipment

50:58

that enters the battlefield snaps right onto

51:00

Tetsuo as well. It gives

51:02

the equipped creature plus two foot so and

51:04

indestructible. Oh, that's really

51:06

valuable. Pretty good. Brass Squire also

51:09

attaches target equipment, you control to target creature, you control

51:11

for free z's. Free and magnetic theft

51:13

is an instant for one rayman that

51:15

does the same thing.

51:17

You also do it to someone else's creature, which I

51:20

haven't seen happen yet, but it'd be kinda funny. It's like

51:22

swing with my sword and feasting famine. I'm like, alright,

51:24

I'm gonna attach that to your thing that's

51:26

not swinging. Blargest kill

51:28

it. Get it out of there.

51:30

Malaria. There are good equipment tutors

51:32

in these colors, so go to a band at

51:34

Warlord, as we all know, is a combo piece.

51:36

but it does find yourself an equipment card. Hamarin is

51:38

on. Hamarin is on. That that would be a

51:41

hundred percent or just some of those. And Amber Clayton.

51:43

I have some of those probably

51:46

the public cleaner. There's also anchor to reality, which you

51:48

can sack an artifact or creature and you search

51:50

a library for an equipment or vehicle card

51:52

and that card gets put on

51:54

the battlefield. which is nice. And if

51:56

the equipment has if the man

51:58

value is less than the sacrifice

52:00

permanent man value that you get, you can scribe to

52:02

as well. Just kinda cool. Yeah. It's like a little

52:04

tinker for your equipment. Yep.

52:06

Did I quartermaster? Same thing. Get

52:08

you let's you find something. Let's find an

52:10

equipment. Let's you find something. So

52:12

yeah. Tetsuo seems like it takes a little bit to set up. It seems like it could

52:14

be really clunky. It's tough

52:16

because equipment decks are

52:20

always are tricky. Right? Because you need a balance between equipment and between

52:22

creatures. And now you also need

52:24

to balance in these little incidental incidents

52:28

and sorseries as well. Yeah. And you don't wanna build too high of a man value because you're

52:30

never gonna get double cast them, but you also don't

52:32

want to get blown out. So you wanna

52:34

figure out you know, Are

52:36

you tutoring? Are you getting value from your pure

52:38

gains and stuff? Or are you just trying

52:40

to cast something kinda cool for Dreamana?

52:43

Who knows? or are you just shooting him in the face?

52:45

No. Like a

52:45

damage. I like that too. Yeah. Always good.

52:48

But market difference in terms of our excitement

52:50

compared from Tetsuel to staying.

52:52

Because It's tough. There's a lot going on on

52:54

Tetsuel. Yeah. And staying is just

52:56

there's just a lot more you can do with Oras. I think that

52:58

doesn't lead you to these awkward, like, uh-oh. But whether

53:00

if someone casts removal spell. Equipment without white is just really

53:02

tough. You don't have a lot of the free equip. You

53:04

don't have a lot of the payoffs.

53:06

It's it's it's gonna be an uphill

53:09

battle, I think. Yep. Doing that. Yep. And anytime it's attached

53:11

to an attack trigger or damage trigger, it just adds that

53:14

extra layer of difficult to

53:16

build around. but we'd like to see. try

53:18

if you want to. Yay. Alright. Let's move

53:20

on to the next creature. This is the

53:22

ever changing dane. Pretty

53:25

anyways, wait. a white blue black for A33 shape shifter

53:27

and you can pay one man that's to sacrifice

53:29

another creature and the ever changing game

53:31

becomes a copy of the sacrifice

53:33

creature except it has this ability.

53:36

So it bears comparison to a

53:38

lot of other cards in the past, Lazov

53:40

the Multifurias, Mericel, the

53:42

pretender, Vasu, and doppelganger, all

53:44

have this sort of thing where it's like, do something

53:46

and keep the ability and keep

53:48

doing it. It's it turns your

53:50

it turns your commander into usually

53:52

a non legendary or some

53:54

some, like, Lazabi always

53:56

do the turn it into a twelve twelve for right

53:58

now. Yeah. Exactly.

54:00

I like this build in terms of the

54:02

depth triggers because you're gonna

54:04

be sacrificing creatures. You don't wanna be sacrificing just

54:06

nothing and changing the den in this. I mean, it doesn't

54:08

matter. You want to sacrifice creature that when it dies,

54:11

it does something. So Tesa Karlav is sort of

54:13

the de facto pant deaths

54:16

harmonicon. If a creature dying causes

54:18

a triggered ability a permanent you control the

54:20

trigger, that ability triggers an additional

54:22

time. Yeah. So this is gonna look

54:24

very similar to Tesa

54:26

Carlov's deck that have been built in the past,

54:28

but you get the added benefits

54:30

of some blue cards, which is

54:32

pretty cool. So,

54:34

yeah, you have all in these colors,

54:36

you have the three dragons from Kamigawa. You got Ji,

54:38

Kega, and A0A0

54:43

Notably, I think old Kaiga is

54:45

better than the new Kaiga. Yeah. I would

54:48

agree. When old Kaiga dies, he you gain

54:50

control of target

54:52

creatures. So What I think is cool

54:54

about this is you cast Kaiga, you sack

54:56

it with the

54:56

Dane, and then you get the Kaiga death

54:58

trigger. And then if the Dane

55:00

dies, you get another Kaiga death trigger.

55:02

And if tases out, you get four total

55:05

Kaiga death trigger. Gross.

55:07

Very cool. New commander, I've been

55:09

thinking about building around his Yiesa, forgotten archangel. It

55:11

is a bunch of men for a creature that

55:13

says whenever another non token creature you

55:15

control dies, return that card

55:17

to its owners hand at the beginning of

55:19

the next end step. And if a conclusion in the

55:22

opponent controls would die, exile instead. So this is a way

55:24

for you to be like, every changing day in sack, kill

55:26

that thing, get the trigger, return to my hand, do

55:28

it again. Ask it again. It's pretty explicit again. Yeah. And similar very

55:30

much to both of the Atheros',

55:32

Atheros' guided passage and

55:34

shroud vailed. are just ways again

55:36

to just get those sacrificed creatures back

55:38

and continue that chain

55:40

going. Oh,

55:41

yeah. This card. do the full attendant.

55:43

Very simple card. It's a common two in the black one. It dies. Return another charcuterie from

55:45

a gravier to your hand. So

55:48

very easy thing

55:50

to sacrifice. for the ever changing day and you're happy to do And

55:52

you don't necessarily care

55:54

about the day and dying because you're gonna be able to get

55:56

stuff back, which is

55:58

nice. Right. there's there's

55:59

a

55:59

lot of sweet dies triggers that you can get

56:02

here and and dutiful attendant lets

56:04

you sort of keep looping those.

56:06

Mhmm. I like Alinda the dust grows in here,

56:08

creatures are dying. Whenever another creature dies, you

56:10

put a counter on her, and then when Alinda

56:12

dies, you make that

56:14

many vampire tokens

56:16

with life blank. Wrex is Linda's power. So -- Yeah. -- you

56:18

can sacrifice Alenda when she gets big

56:20

enough and then keep building up a new

56:22

Alenda to make more vampire

56:24

tokens. That's nice.

56:26

That's fun. warm coil engine. Also, you love to see it die because it

56:28

makes two three threes, one with life Lincoln, one

56:30

with death touch. And you still have

56:32

a cop happy warm engine

56:34

to spare. That's right because the Dane is

56:36

Yeah. Dane is under a warm coil engine. Yeah. That's

56:38

kinda cool. Pretty cool. I could totally

56:41

see you playing the scarab god

56:43

in this deck because you're able to exile cards from graveyard

56:45

to make them copies or, sorry, you

56:47

gotta create tokens that are copies. So

56:49

ScaryScout seems very good once you're putting

56:51

stuff in the bin. So, yeah,

56:53

you can use I I

56:55

like Skareb God a lot in this deck because

56:57

you can use Skareb God to make

56:59

token copies of stuff you already stacked so

57:01

you can sacrifice again today and get even

57:03

more death triggers. Oh, be right. Even

57:05

sacrifice care of God

57:06

to turn, to give Dane the care

57:08

of God clogs, when the care of God dies, return it to a clear stand at the beginning

57:11

of the next end step. So you could sacrifice care

57:13

of God, you put it back into your hand at

57:15

the next end step, visit died But

57:17

then, now if, like, if there's a board wipe on the stack or

57:20

something, Dana. Now Dana goes back to your

57:22

hand as well. So you can get a

57:24

little bit of protection on your commander in

57:26

case you have to recast. and just having a

57:28

scar of god out. If you've ever played against

57:30

this car, it's pretty good. It's very good.

57:32

Yeah. Especially if you got Waimea, it becomes

57:34

back breaking really quickly. Yeah.

57:36

Another card,

57:36

it's interesting, sinister concierge, which is one and

57:38

blue for A21 This is a new card. When

57:40

the sensor concierge dies, you may

57:43

exile it and put three time counters on it.

57:45

If you do exile up to one target creature and put three time counters on

57:47

it, each card eggs out this way that

57:49

doesn't have suspend gains suspend. So

57:51

when this dies, you're

57:53

gonna basically exile another creature for a full three

57:56

turns forever. Forever. Yeah. It feels like

57:58

forever. I can't suspend on

57:59

one of venues cards in the recent

58:02

extra turns and I was like, you'll get it back. You never

58:04

got it back. So that's kinda cool. And

58:06

then you get that again. This is what makes people

58:08

not wanna even get rid of

58:10

Dane because he will just He'll be a son of sinister concierge Exactly.

58:12

Hotel staff taken over.

58:14

And then there's Orthofeefe, which is just

58:17

a creature that when it dies, or

58:19

point to the graveyard from the outflow, you gain control of

58:21

all enchanting. This is pretty good. I don't

58:24

know. A lot of the time when you do

58:26

dies, deck you don't get blue. So it's cool that you get to add or

58:28

a thief in there. And -- Yeah. -- you

58:30

have a free sack outlet in the zone to

58:32

take advantage. in

58:34

the zone. And of course, I think in

58:36

these colors, you might wanna steal your

58:38

opponent's creatures. Mister steal your creatures, it's

58:42

Dane. And then when you steal them, you wanna sack them so that you get the creature dead,

58:44

but it's kinda like a removal spell and you get the

58:46

creature for as long as you need it. That's pretty slick.

58:49

Yeah. So there's control magic, chamber manipulation guys

58:51

to do with a bunch, domineering will.

58:53

I actually like domineering will a lot. Mhmm. So it's

58:55

three in the blue for instance. This target player gains

58:58

control up to three target non attacking

59:00

creatures until end of turn untapped those

59:02

creatures, they block this turn if

59:04

able. This card was originally designed so to be

59:06

like, oh, they're attacking. You know what,

59:08

I'm gonna grab these creatures and they're not attacking them when they have

59:10

them block instead for me when someone's

59:12

attacking me. But you can cast this at

59:14

any time.

59:16

Yeah. Just yank three creatures. As long as they're not attacking.

59:18

Yeah. Just yank three creatures for

59:20

four mana. That's a absurd rate.

59:23

Yeah.

59:23

And if you have a little bit of extra mayonnaise,

59:25

you can sack them to Dane and keep the best one

59:27

for yourself. I don't know. That's that's pretty

59:30

good.

59:30

That's pretty good. Yeah. Of course,

59:32

anytime you're sacrificing creatures,

59:34

especially non token creatures for value,

59:36

you want some way to bring them

59:38

back. And white is great at this.

59:41

So it spells like brought back, which

59:43

returns to target permanence from your

59:45

gray graveyard to the battlefield that were put

59:47

there this turn. Mhmm. Sevin's reclamation is a

59:49

classic. Yep. You played that card in game

59:51

nights? I did. Not very

59:54

well. What you played? I sure did

59:56

cast it.

59:58

Yeah. And Luminess Broadmoth, whatever creature you control

59:59

without flying dies return it to the battlefield

1:00:02

under its owner's control with a flying counter on

1:00:04

it instead. that. You get to

1:00:06

keep using these die's die's triggers

1:00:08

with Luminess Food Mountain. And it's not about, like,

1:00:10

doing it infinite times, just getting a

1:00:12

couple of these size triggers twice with Luminess

1:00:14

Brewbot could be enough. Right.

1:00:16

powerful.

1:00:16

You're only supposed to get dive triggers once.

1:00:18

Yeah. Exactly. So warm coil engine,

1:00:21

Luminess Brewbot. sack it, you get 33233 so it

1:00:23

comes back. With flying, someone's gonna try

1:00:25

and remove that thing. Otherwise, if you really need

1:00:27

to, you can again. Right? So there's just so

1:00:29

much value to be generated with Luminess Blue Month, and we'll talk about that card later as

1:00:32

well. This is a weirdo that I've been

1:00:34

trying to put in

1:00:36

a deck forever. Yeah. Again, another card I've never seen before. This

1:00:38

is dreams of the dead. It is a

1:00:40

blue enchantment for three in a blue that has an

1:00:42

activated ability that says one in a blue

1:00:44

return target

1:00:46

white or black creature card from your graveyard to play. That

1:00:48

creature gains

1:00:49

cumulative upkeep two. If the creature would

1:00:51

leave play, remove it from the game

1:00:53

instead. Okay. This is it

1:00:55

really gets. It's insane in the stack. because you're you don't care.

1:00:57

You're you've already sacked. Maybe it's come back

1:00:59

once already because aluminum is brewed hot, but now you

1:01:01

just want it back one last time, one will go around for the day

1:01:03

to change into it. And then it gets eggs out, but you got it

1:01:06

back for Humana? Yeah. So you you can

1:01:08

activate this

1:01:08

as many times as you'd like

1:01:11

return. So if you pay one in

1:01:13

a blue, you return out to the battlefield.

1:01:15

Second point now, get a dice trigger, and then you

1:01:17

have an your and then your commander

1:01:19

is is still in But at that

1:01:21

point, you don't care. You could just keep bringing other stuff back and never changing game just acts

1:01:23

as a sack outlet. You don't even need the

1:01:26

Dane in this case. You could just have dreams of the

1:01:28

dead in a

1:01:30

sack outlet and you're already doing the thing with the die strager. Doing pretty

1:01:32

good. Yeah. Doing pretty good. I I think

1:01:34

that the scar is really sweet in the stick. Yeah. And then

1:01:36

you also got

1:01:38

cards like abnormal endurance, which is one of those black spells that when the

1:01:40

creature dies, it comes back to the

1:01:42

battlefield. Corp stands. You can return the

1:01:44

top creature of your graveyard to

1:01:46

the battlefield. And

1:01:49

then dance of the manta, that was interesting because you have the colors.

1:01:51

We have the colors red, white, and

1:01:53

black. Yeah. Yeah. x, white, and black

1:01:55

for a accessory. White

1:01:58

and blue, sorry for a source where you turn them to x target artifact

1:02:00

and or non orange enchantment cards with each

1:02:02

man value x or less from a gravity to the battlefield. If

1:02:04

x is six or more, then those permanent are

1:02:07

four four creatures in addition to their other

1:02:09

types. So you couldn't have a build of this deck that's

1:02:11

all about those artifact creatures and or just

1:02:14

artifacts in non orange chametz. And if you make dance in the May as big enough,

1:02:16

you've got all this sack fodder as well. So I think

1:02:18

there's a lot of interesting things you could be doing here. Coming

1:02:20

to an

1:02:22

enchantment. Yeah. because they're four four creatures. In addition, you can

1:02:24

turn Dane into a RISTIC study. A.

1:02:26

I'm done with that. Nate?

1:02:28

Sneadeau. Okay.

1:02:31

We have five more

1:07:57

part two reviews. It's me, Jimmy Wong,

1:07:59

your boy, as well as

1:08:01

a Wecho Reeks. young

1:08:04

girl. Not yet your

1:08:06

boy. Someday.

1:08:10

Someday. Oh.

1:08:12

You Alright. Let's move on to the Lady of OTaria. This

1:08:14

is three red and green for A55 legendary creature Avatar.

1:08:19

you may tap three untapped dwarfs you control rather than pay

1:08:21

the spells man at cost. Okay. And

1:08:23

at the beginning

1:08:26

of each end step, If a land that you control was put into a graveyard

1:08:28

from the battlefield this turn reveal the

1:08:30

top four cards of your library,

1:08:33

you may put any number of dwarf cards

1:08:35

from among them into your hand and put the rest on the bong of

1:08:37

your library in a random order. Pretty

1:08:40

cool. Yeah.

1:08:42

So every single end steps should use their own urban land or just have a fetch

1:08:44

land out, you can get

1:08:46

basically a lot of cards.

1:08:49

You're looking at top four cards you may

1:08:51

potentially draw one, two, maybe even three cards often. Depending on

1:08:53

how dedicated to the dwarf clan you

1:08:55

are. Yeah. I hope so because

1:08:57

there are only forty eight playable

1:08:59

dwarfs and jewel. is worth

1:09:01

noting with Lady of Oteria. She has an alternate casting cost who may tap three untapped doors you control

1:09:03

rather than play the spells

1:09:08

manifest. that does not include commander

1:09:10

tax. Oh, okay. With these the replacement

1:09:12

cost ones, you still have

1:09:14

to pay the additional rest and

1:09:17

you can play seven dwarfs seven times. That is an additional thing that you can

1:09:19

do here. Pretty fully dedicated to the dwarfs.

1:09:22

Cool. Best car in the

1:09:24

deck. It's

1:09:26

Magda. Always. Yeah. So Magda already

1:09:29

wants Dorfs to be tapped when they do

1:09:31

the Create Trader tokens. Should you go

1:09:33

turn to Magda, turn three Dorf, turn

1:09:35

four, they'll turn three, two doors or whatever, then Lady Victoria comes

1:09:37

out and you make three treasures on

1:09:39

top. That's pretty darn

1:09:41

good. Magda, one of

1:09:44

the best dorves out there, but there are

1:09:46

some really good ones actually. Storm Kiln artist is an extremely strong dwarf if you

1:09:48

got. No. It was a dwarf. No.

1:09:50

I do. Yeah. I mean, if you've got

1:09:53

instances and accessories in that deck as well. It's like a rampant growth or that

1:09:55

kind of thing. You're in gruel. never know? You never

1:09:58

know. Torbrand is also a

1:10:00

door for

1:10:03

one red, red, is it door for noble if a red or red?

1:10:05

One red, red, red. Water red. Excuse

1:10:07

me. For for Mana,

1:10:09

if a red source you control would deal damage to an opponent or

1:10:11

a permanent and opponent controls, it deals

1:10:14

that much damage plus two instant.

1:10:16

And if you're playing a dwarf deck and

1:10:18

you're just trying swing with dwarves that might be a good thing because you need

1:10:20

that extra damage. Yeah. Get a little extra

1:10:22

buff. I like this card from AFR

1:10:24

quite a bit blundering, barbarian,

1:10:26

tuna red for a dwarf barrier and when it

1:10:29

enters the alfia, you can choose one. You can add a destroy target

1:10:31

artifact or just make a treasure token. That's a solid dwarf. Very

1:10:33

solid. Think he's

1:10:35

a doable dwarf. There's a new one from Baldor's Gate

1:10:37

that's also pretty good. This is druid of the Emerald Grove. When it enters the Battlefield

1:10:40

Sertia library for

1:10:40

up to two basic land cards and reveal

1:10:42

them, then roll a d twenty. Sometimes

1:10:46

you put them into

1:10:47

your hands, sometimes put into the depends how you roll. Yeah.

1:10:49

But it's like

1:10:51

a little cultivate. sort

1:10:54

of on a guy. Yeah. It's a cultivate. It's a

1:10:56

fifty fifty chance that you're gonna get generally the cultivate ability, which

1:10:58

is one on the Balfi one in your hand, but even

1:11:00

just It's just a dwarf. And

1:11:02

-- Yeah. -- dorms are good in this

1:11:04

deck. Yeah. You gotta dorm. You gotta dorm. You

1:11:06

gotta dorm. You gotta dorm. As always, Change

1:11:09

lanes are also dwarfs. So mask with nexus makes a bunch

1:11:11

of dwarfs as tokens and it makes all your creatures

1:11:13

into dwarfs because they're all changing things

1:11:15

now. And you got like

1:11:18

we mentioned last time, Torian Moller, Round Walker,

1:11:20

very good card. Round Walker is a very

1:11:22

good one. So this one lets you look at

1:11:25

the top of your library, which is important.

1:11:27

You can tell if there's a dwarf in there. Yeah. For the ability of your commander. then you may

1:11:29

cast creature spells of

1:11:31

the chosen type. from

1:11:34

the top of your library. So, notably,

1:11:36

choosing Dorf. Masked vandal is another

1:11:38

very good green dwarf or --

1:11:40

Yeah. --

1:11:40

the changeling. when it enters the

1:11:42

battlefield, we may excel the creature card from your graveyard.

1:11:44

If you do excel target artifact or enchantment and opponent controls. Yeah. I like

1:11:46

that quite a bit. Alright. Now let's talk about lands

1:11:51

into the graveyard on each end step. So -- Mhmm. -- I

1:11:53

think you wanna utilize this part as much as possible.

1:11:55

It's what's really gonna get you ahead

1:11:58

especially if you're a dwarf strategy because that

1:12:00

doesn't

1:12:00

mean you're doing too much. Yeah. So you're gonna need a lot

1:12:02

of different ways to get lands in the graveyard, and I think you can

1:12:04

even do things where you play

1:12:06

a bunch of lands and save up

1:12:09

the fetch line activation so they

1:12:11

can draw up to four extra times, you know, per Which is

1:12:15

sixteen cards. That's ton. Yeah. That's

1:12:17

really looking for you. You're trying sixteen straight boars. That's amazing. You

1:12:20

looking at sixteen cards potentially.

1:12:22

Yes. Yes. So you're seeing sixteen

1:12:24

cards. think

1:12:26

you're gonna play a lot of fetch lands. So what it what it

1:12:29

tells all the traditional ones as well as your evolving

1:12:31

wiles and terra morphic expanses? You also have

1:12:33

all of the ways to sacrifice

1:12:35

lands that instance beads. So, harrow, broiling regrowth,

1:12:37

and crop rotation are all really great ways to sack lands and then get

1:12:40

more lands on the battlefield. So you're

1:12:42

ramping, but you're also gonna get that additional

1:12:44

trigger. really

1:12:46

nice. Your Spring Blum

1:12:48

Dorer does the same at source free speed,

1:12:50

elvish reclaimer can sacrifice a land and

1:12:52

go get a land into play. as

1:12:55

well. Yep. And I think you want to replay a bunch of lands,

1:12:57

so crucible of worlds, ramming up excavator, ancient

1:12:59

Green Mordin are always to

1:13:01

replay those lands out of your graveyard. And because you want

1:13:03

to get multiple fetch lines out at the same time so that

1:13:05

you can crack them all in one rotation, you gotta

1:13:08

play your Azusa's as well

1:13:10

or you're driving the leasing grove.

1:13:12

Give yourself -- Or -- some

1:13:14

extra land drops. Yeah. And I actually really like keeping the land usable. So Yavamaya cradle

1:13:19

of growth, makes each lane of forest in addition to other type. So it means that

1:13:21

your fetch lands aren't just useless. Should you really

1:13:23

need to use them, you can still play them

1:13:25

and decide, okay, do I need to hold

1:13:27

this up to activate do the

1:13:29

ability? Or do I just wanna tap it as

1:13:31

a forest? It's kinda nice. Sure. Yeah. That's that's a cool idea. I don't that a lot. And then,

1:13:33

Emilie Vega is a card that

1:13:36

I'm always really

1:13:38

high on because all of your top

1:13:40

plans come into play untapped. So your term or fee

1:13:42

expense is better. Ready? It was. Yeah. Alright, Lady OTarria.

1:13:46

Good job. The dorms love you. There's

1:13:48

a new snow snow white in

1:13:50

town. Yeah. Lady the lady

1:13:52

Otari on the forty eight dorms.

1:13:54

does not have quite the same ring. Okay. Let's

1:13:57

move on to the next commander.

1:13:59

This is Tobias, doomed

1:14:02

conquer also known as the car that I'm least excited

1:14:04

about. Sorry to spoil it. Poor Tobias. I

1:14:06

know he is really doing his best.

1:14:08

Two white of Lupron.

1:14:10

Three two human soldier with flash, when

1:14:12

Tobias dies, for each non token creature you

1:14:14

control that died this turn, create

1:14:17

A22 black

1:14:19

zombie creature token. a lot of setup to make

1:14:21

us some tutu's. It's tough because you think you're commander dying. Yeah.

1:14:24

You want you want a

1:14:26

wide board out of non token

1:14:28

creatures and

1:14:30

then a board wipe. In white blue. Yeah. In white part, not so hard. Yeah. So

1:14:33

yeah my partner so hard yeah so

1:14:36

if if

1:14:37

you're playing Tobias, we I think you're still trying to

1:14:39

take as much advantage of the creating a token ability as possible. So

1:14:41

-- Yeah. -- for sure.

1:14:43

You still want your

1:14:46

anointed possessions to bind visitation. Turning

1:14:48

those tokens into a better body

1:14:50

or into more bodies is gonna

1:14:52

be important to make to bias

1:14:55

act really make an impact. Yeah. And you really

1:14:57

have to use device, I think, more than

1:14:59

once. So we're back to the recursion

1:15:01

strategies we talked about earlier, which

1:15:03

is brought back events reclamation, luminous brood moth,

1:15:05

cosmic intervention -- Mhmm. -- ascended from a Venus.

1:15:08

So This is a

1:15:10

new one. Yeah. Like this one.

1:15:12

It's a sorcery that is x white, white, white

1:15:14

to return all creatures and planeswalker cards with manavailu x

1:15:17

or less from your

1:15:19

graveyard to the battlefield. exile

1:15:21

ascent from Mverness. So this lets you get all of those non token creatures that died in the first

1:15:24

bird way back to the

1:15:26

battlefield and hopefully you can reuse

1:15:31

Dane's ability? Yeah. It's kind of

1:15:33

annoying because Tobias wants non tokens.

1:15:35

You can't exchange tokens for tokens. You

1:15:37

can't turn A11 soldier into

1:15:39

two two zombie. has to be real creatures. Yeah. So you

1:15:41

need to include this whole package in there. A cauldron of souls is a great way to bring

1:15:43

them back. So you have a

1:15:46

bunch of creatures, you give them

1:15:48

persist. and then they come back with nice

1:15:50

and nice encounters. But, hey, they're still non tokens. Yeah. And they're gonna be there, and

1:15:52

they're gonna die again to make

1:15:54

more, should you wanna go through there?

1:15:57

This is a neat include antler skulcan. Mhmm. It is a five man at three

1:15:59

three

1:15:59

scarecrow and has an activated

1:16:02

ability that says two colon target

1:16:04

white

1:16:07

creature gains persist until end of turn. So it's sort

1:16:09

of a cauldron of souls that you that you have

1:16:11

to pay to activate, but you

1:16:14

can give to your commander, you can give it to a non token

1:16:16

creature that's important that you keep around

1:16:18

-- Yeah. -- after a board wipe.

1:16:20

It's pretty neat. And the art is gnarly. Super

1:16:23

gnarly. NIM death mantle does again a similar thing, allows one of the non choking creatures put into the graveyard, you can

1:16:25

pay four and returns to the battlefield and you

1:16:27

get NIM death mantle on top

1:16:31

of it. There is a rules note here between Breathkeeper

1:16:33

Serif, which is a card that's sold bonds. And

1:16:36

if one is paired with

1:16:38

another creature, each of those creatures when the creature dies, you may return it to the battlefield

1:16:40

under its under control at the beginning of your

1:16:42

next end upkeep. And then gift of immortality,

1:16:45

which also I think is pretty good in this deck.

1:16:47

It's in chain of aura. When in chain of creatures dies, put that card return that card of

1:16:49

the battlefield under its under control, and then you return gift

1:16:52

of immortality to the battlefield attached

1:16:54

to that creature being on the

1:16:56

next step. These should

1:16:58

work if if you sold bond with your commander. Yeah. Because yeah. Breathkeeper is returning at

1:17:01

the beginning of

1:17:04

the upkeep and then gift

1:17:06

trip mentality comes back later. So you should be able to just keep it going to sort of sack them over and over again with like

1:17:08

it going an

1:17:12

altar. Right. I think if you're gonna maximize value

1:17:14

out of this, it's not gonna be in response to a board wipe. It's gonna be using -- You

1:17:16

do that. -- yourselves.

1:17:18

Yeah. Two loop ETB triggers

1:17:21

on non token creatures. So something that keeps bringing stuff back

1:17:23

like breath keep or serif or gift of immortality is gonna be important. But

1:17:27

so are those stack outlets.

1:17:29

Yeah. You need to be able to stack at the moment, you need to do it. Otherwise,

1:17:31

you're really not getting the max

1:17:34

value of this card.

1:17:36

Right? Yeah. So something I

1:17:38

think Altra of dementia is particularly good in this deck because you're making you're gonna

1:17:40

be sacrificing so many

1:17:42

creatures and so many zombies.

1:17:44

that hopefully you can generate enough

1:17:47

value to mill somebody else. Okay. Yeah. Or, you know, use one of

1:17:47

the recursion pieces that we talked about before to return

1:17:49

stuff to the battlefield. You can play a coat

1:17:52

of arms with

1:17:55

that and then make all of your zombies massive. There you

1:17:57

go. That's a cool idea. Second

1:17:59

one's altered dimension.

1:18:01

Yeah. Yeah. And nail Josh out. Classic

1:18:04

altars that you know and

1:18:06

loves Ashnod's altars to close

1:18:08

Manifurxian altar as

1:18:10

well. No. Those are yeah, it gives you two colors. Gives you two

1:18:12

colors, Mana, and proxy, and alter that text to

1:18:14

add add colors, Mana. Yeah. You also have, like,

1:18:16

animal bone yard, which in

1:18:18

chance the land to let you sack

1:18:20

stuff, barren master wizard, which sack the permanent to return

1:18:22

the creature to its owner's hand. So that's nice. You can even

1:18:25

sack like a land or whatever. blasting station untapped

1:18:28

and allows you to sack a bunch of things

1:18:30

because when the recruiter comes into play, you untapped

1:18:32

blasting station.

1:18:34

Pretty good. caregiver, as well as martyrs

1:18:36

cause light to sack creatures to prevent

1:18:38

damage. So it seems marginal. It

1:18:40

was as pretty underrated, I think.

1:18:42

exacting a creature to prevent all damage to target a creature or

1:18:45

player from one source that prevents that prevents

1:18:47

a lot of issues. Yeah.

1:18:50

Saves you from blasmas Act or

1:18:51

something like that. Or maybe

1:18:54

a giant blade steel

1:18:56

glasses. Yeah. That

1:18:58

That is certainly a source. That's a source. Alright.

1:19:00

And then dive triggers again. We want cruisers that

1:19:02

when they die, give you some benefit.

1:19:05

Mhmm. We got some silacom, warm coil engine,

1:19:08

draw a bunch of cards. Yeah. You got

1:19:10

Kega again and a o and all the

1:19:14

cavaliers that fit in these colors. cavaliers are cool in this deck because they both

1:19:16

ETB and dice triggers, and I think you're

1:19:18

gonna wanna be doing both. So they

1:19:21

come back and you get either TB trigger. And then

1:19:23

when they die and you bring them back again, it's

1:19:25

like twice as much value as other cards. Yeah. So

1:19:28

there's cavalier of gales

1:19:30

that comes in and you brainstorm, you draw

1:19:32

three cards then put two cards on your hand on top

1:19:34

of your library in any order. And when it dies,

1:19:37

you shuffle it into its own library in the

1:19:39

sky too. I forgot about the shuffle on that one, but Alright. It's okay. Maybe

1:19:41

you'll draw it again later. Maybe you'll

1:19:43

get him. And cavalier

1:19:46

of dawn is awesome when it enter the battlefield destroy up to one target non

1:19:48

land permanent. Its controller makes A33

1:19:50

colorless golem artifact creature token. And

1:19:52

when it dies, you return

1:19:55

target artifact or enchantment. from your graveyard

1:19:57

to your hand. So you don't need to shuffle it. It doesn't you don't have to

1:19:59

shuffle it, which

1:19:59

is pretty good, but you get a

1:19:59

removals fell on the way in and a

1:20:02

recursion fell on the way out. Yeah. That's

1:20:04

nice. pretty okay. I

1:20:06

am kind of over this commander I think very a stuff

1:20:08

to build around it.

1:20:10

It feels like there has

1:20:13

to be a better way to to do what you want. Like -- Yeah.

1:20:15

-- like the ever changing game -- -- doing this gives you another color. So -- Yes.

1:20:17

-- maybe this card belongs in the Deku

1:20:20

note. Maybe's It

1:20:23

knows. Alright. Moving on, the next card is

1:20:26

Toruaki, the younger. We're familiar

1:20:28

with this card.

1:20:30

Oh, I'm upsertly familiar with this part. Josh played

1:20:32

into great effect on the last game nights. A

1:20:34

lot of people were considering is this just

1:20:36

one of the strongest commanders printed in

1:20:38

a long time. Even though it's five mana commander

1:20:40

and an uncommon one at that. Yeah. Exactly. So this card is

1:20:43

actually just nuts. So, Richard, you wanna read it?

1:20:45

Yeah. Toruaki

1:20:46

the younger for three black

1:20:48

and a red. This is a human

1:20:51

archer. It is A33 It is reach and lifelink. Wi lifelink. Wi

1:20:53

lifelink.

1:20:56

Wi lifelink. If another source you control would

1:20:58

deal non combat damage to a permanent or player, it deals that much damage plus one to that permanent

1:21:01

or player

1:21:04

instead. Mm-mm. pretty good. But it continues.

1:21:06

Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell to work at the younger deals two damage

1:21:08

to any target,

1:21:11

namely our faces. Yeah. and

1:21:14

sometimes in the form of infect. So I

1:21:16

can't believe this is uncommon, but I guess it's

1:21:18

a box topper, so they're all kind

1:21:20

of rare. But this is

1:21:22

just a very powerful card. Fireman does cost a

1:21:25

lot. This deck asks you to cast instances and source trees. And there

1:21:27

are a lot of cards in red

1:21:30

and black that care about that. They paint they they play

1:21:32

very well with your casting and

1:21:34

systems ministries, like electrostatic field or

1:21:38

firebrand archer. stand the archer subtheme? Yeah. Yeah. Every

1:21:40

two archer subtheme in red.

1:21:42

Yeah. So Electrostatic feels when

1:21:44

you cast into source trade deals one damage

1:21:46

to each opponent, which turns into two

1:21:49

damage to each opponent, and Firebrand Archer is very similar. So

1:21:51

those are just ways -- Yep. -- like Gutter Snipe as well

1:21:53

to just sit there and kill everyone by

1:21:55

just casting it since to

1:21:58

source stories. Yeah. You're gonna want a lot of the

1:22:00

storm payoff cards like Storm

1:22:02

Kilnartis, which we saw operate to

1:22:04

great effect whenever you cast or copy

1:22:06

an instant or sorcery spell create a treasure

1:22:08

token. Yeah. And then if you're making the

1:22:10

spell as cheaper with Night Skip familiar or

1:22:12

you're getting Man in Back with cards

1:22:14

like Run the Away Steam can, and you can also

1:22:17

get a bunch of mana from cards like dark ritual,

1:22:19

cabal ritual, Jessica's well, mana geyser. So now you have all

1:22:21

this mana, you have all these cards in your hand and

1:22:23

you have all of these ways

1:22:26

to deal damage. Thanks to Turti Joaquin.

1:22:28

There you go. on the command zone. You do

1:22:30

what Josh did in the episode. You're playing cards

1:22:33

like accelerate. You're playing cards like epathodic wisps, light

1:22:35

at the stage, needle drop. These all potentially

1:22:37

cost one manna. They draw you a

1:22:40

card and they will deal damage

1:22:42

to people or they'll draw you some

1:22:44

cards. these cheap cards that

1:22:46

can't trip are really important because it means you always have gas to trigger him again and you always have

1:22:48

mana to keep

1:22:51

moving. Right? So Even

1:22:53

something that seems kind of minor like needle drop, all you really want is the insulin sorcery. But it's

1:22:56

actually pretty good for you. It's still

1:22:58

too damaged. So the one shock that can

1:23:00

drip I

1:23:03

mean, I died to this card. So Yeah. You did. But, yeah,

1:23:05

cheap draw spells is gonna be the

1:23:07

way this deck wants to

1:23:09

live. Why can't trips? You're gonna Yeah.

1:23:11

storm off, play a bunch of stuff bunch of little arrows over and over

1:23:14

and over again. There's also, you know,

1:23:16

you wanna keep going. So knight's

1:23:18

whisper, sign in blood, and bow

1:23:21

of awakening are all pretty affordable ways to just fill

1:23:23

your hand back up, keep that chain going, and just keep

1:23:25

hitting people over and

1:23:27

over and over again. Because

1:23:29

you are pinging, death touch is always good. It turns that two damage to

1:23:31

any target into lethal damage on any

1:23:34

creature. Yep. So equipment like

1:23:36

Vasiles collar

1:23:39

or gorgon's head, give the equipped creature a

1:23:41

death touch, kind of a cute one

1:23:43

is vorpol's sword. Yeah. For

1:23:45

a single black equipped

1:23:48

creature plus two plus o and has depth

1:23:50

touch and then has an activated ability that is very expensive. Eight man out of five block

1:23:52

block. Until end of turn, vorprell

1:23:54

sword games whenever a quick creature

1:23:56

deals combat

1:23:58

damage. So you do have to attack

1:23:59

to a player that player loses the game. But

1:24:02

it's not that unheard of with Milwaukee to find ways

1:24:04

to clear

1:24:06

out someone's entire board because it's cracking

1:24:08

target. Yeah. And it's crack through with

1:24:10

the verbal sword hit. That's a

1:24:13

very flavor. full win. It's yeah. And

1:24:15

while while death touch is while we're talking about death touch, pestilence spirit, I

1:24:17

think is kind of cool. There was a

1:24:19

lot of, like, little

1:24:20

damage Mhmm.

1:24:24

Cards that, like, needle drop. Like,

1:24:26

needle drop. So this is a

1:24:28

spirit for two in

1:24:29

a blackness medicine, death touch. And

1:24:31

it also says instant and sorcery spells

1:24:33

you control have death touch. Yeah. So even your lighting bold or your shocks, all now kill

1:24:36

creatures. All

1:24:40

enough. it's kind of a kind of a

1:24:42

neat place for that. Correct. You may already be dead. People love this animation. It was

1:24:44

amazing.

1:24:46

It was so good. And this part is incredible in this deck. Yeah. One black mana

1:24:49

instant destroyed your enclosure, though, was dealt damage.

1:24:51

This turn and you draw a

1:24:53

card, most important

1:24:56

part, refilling. hand. Mhmm. Same thing with Blade brand, Tardigrades,

1:24:58

dead touch until end of turn, draw a card. That target would be Tawasaki?

1:25:00

Yeah. Or even some other card,

1:25:02

it doesn't matter. Right? because Tawasaki already

1:25:05

doesn't need that touch if he's already got with

1:25:07

Vasyl's collar. Doesn't Yeah. That's hard. I've seen this happen. You're just like, I'm in

1:25:09

the counter. I'll just target something over there. Yeah. Tush a moon glove is the

1:25:12

same thing. It's

1:25:15

a little bit extra though. So True. Touch of

1:25:17

Moon Bluff Moon Bluff is an instant for a

1:25:19

single black that says

1:25:21

target creature you control plus one plus seven gains death touch until end up

1:25:24

turn. Great. Whenever a creature dealt damage

1:25:26

by that creature dies this turn, its

1:25:28

controller loses two life. Oh.

1:25:30

So if you're storming off, and

1:25:33

you're just killing someone's full boar.

1:25:35

You just kill five creatures with Toruaki. You also drain them for ten for your trouble. Wacky,

1:25:40

wacky, wacky. Seems

1:25:42

good. Cut to ribbons as well. It's always aftermath where you can cast it to deal for damage to charged creature,

1:25:44

and then you can aftermath it to

1:25:46

make each of them lose x life.

1:25:50

So Torbjörk, I think, has needs I was just on the episode

1:25:53

too, needs a way to finish players off.

1:25:55

Mhmm. And so I've died

1:25:57

of ribbons more than

1:25:59

I

1:25:59

should, honestly. Well, fortunately, Overwatch, it's Overwatch time. So

1:26:02

you got cards like Torbrand, fame and redfell, smoldering egg,

1:26:05

which is an interesting one. It's one in the red for

1:26:07

a creature, defender. Whenever you cast an insert surgery, you

1:26:10

put a number of ember counters on small ring

1:26:12

equal to the amount

1:26:14

of mana spent to cast a spell. Then if it has seven or more Amber counters, you remove

1:26:16

them and transform it into a dragon.

1:26:18

That's A44 whenever you cast

1:26:20

an insertsary ashmelt dragon DS2

1:26:23

damage to any target. So it

1:26:25

just doubles up your triggers on Toruaki. Yeah. Once you get them

1:26:27

flipped into a dragon. Maybe because Toruaki again has life

1:26:30

link with the heck. you

1:26:32

can play Sanguine Bond. You can do the whole combo there. Should you want

1:26:35

to -- Yeah. -- whenever you gain life, target opponent loses that

1:26:39

much life. Reprocution is really interesting. When a recruiter's without damage, it deals that

1:26:41

much damage to that recruiter's controller. That means you

1:26:43

can take all those Torawaki

1:26:46

triggers just point them at creatures and do double duty on

1:26:48

that damage. Yeah. Take a creature out and deal

1:26:50

as much damage to their player space. Yeah. So let's

1:26:52

say I'm at like a healthy four d with a

1:26:55

bunch of one one's sudden down to twenty with

1:26:57

no board. That leaves me with striking distance

1:26:59

of just dying. Grady,

1:27:03

brutal. So something that I that's interesting in the ninety nine of this

1:27:05

deck is Kirk the Thumbless. Yeah. It's so

1:27:07

funny. Tor Milwaukee is

1:27:10

a cast trigger. Yep. So, Crocs says

1:27:12

whenever you cast an

1:27:13

incident or a sensory spell Flip a coin. If you

1:27:15

lose the flip, return that

1:27:17

spell to its owner's hand. If you win the flip, copy that

1:27:19

spell and you may choose new targets for the copy. You

1:27:21

kinda wanna lose You kinda wanna lose

1:27:23

the flip because your all of

1:27:25

your creature all of your spells

1:27:28

can check. and it means that you could just

1:27:30

cast it again

1:27:30

and you aren't down a card. In fact, a lot of the time because all of your little one drop draw

1:27:32

cards -- Yeah. -- you draw

1:27:34

another card. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

1:27:38

So I I like

1:27:40

Kirk the thumbless in this deck because it it

1:27:42

doubles up your triggers. And even if you know,

1:27:44

you you double your spell, you Double

1:27:46

your fun. You could double your spell. Double mint gum. So

1:27:48

I think I think Kirk's kinda cool in the ninety nine of

1:27:50

this stuff. Yeah. And, of course, you'd also just

1:27:53

put infect in there. and

1:27:54

just go to town. Oh,

1:27:56

yeah. That's how I died.

1:27:57

Ten damages enough. And there's a

1:27:59

lot less

1:27:59

than forty. Yeah. And

1:28:02

there's ways, again, just to combo off even on other players' turns because you have a lot of incidents stuff

1:28:04

in

1:28:08

the deck. Don't forget, you can also just check out

1:28:10

that game that's episode and see Josh's deck list. A lot of people were inspired by that. And I think the deck is actually

1:28:14

really fun and interesting to really powerful. mean, having storm payoff in the

1:28:16

command zone is is is really strong.

1:28:19

Yeah. Absolutely. Okay. Moving on, Two,

1:28:23

a big one. Yeah. It's the Houston

1:28:26

founder of Benalea. It's the

1:28:28

founder. I don't know. It's

1:28:30

sounds like one of those elementary school names that

1:28:32

are all, like, here. Here. Here's

1:28:34

my friend. Zaffron. I want to be

1:28:36

called the founder of Benaleis. I member of

1:28:38

finale. I believe we all had subtitles. That'd be

1:28:40

pretty cool. You know? Right now, everything's about, like,

1:28:42

what's your name? What's right? Like, what do you

1:28:45

go by? What do you identify as? I want

1:28:47

titles added onto to that. Get founder of Command Zone. Right. I

1:28:49

want when the next time I'm hosting something to

1:28:51

come on, it says Jimmy Wong, founder

1:28:53

of maybe not even

1:28:55

Command Zone something completely made up. Yeah.

1:28:58

I mean, like a finale. Like a finale. Yeah. That's a real place. This is a

1:29:04

Celesnia commander. It's five a green

1:29:06

and a white for seven seven human soldier. Alright. 777 donkey.

1:29:08

-- donkey. When Torsten enters

1:29:10

the battlefield, reveal the top seven

1:29:14

cards of your library put any number of creature and

1:29:16

or land card drum among them into your hand

1:29:19

and the rest on the bottom

1:29:21

of your library in a random order. Any

1:29:23

number. and lands. If your

1:29:24

if your deck is only creatures and land,

1:29:27

you draw seven cards. Yeah. Play you pay seven

1:29:29

men and draw seven cards. And it's air in the battlefield.

1:29:31

So Seems pretty good. better

1:29:34

than Domi almost. And when Torsten dies, creates 711 white soldier creature tokens. A lot of

1:29:36

7s. Yeah. Not as

1:29:39

exciting on that half. Okay.

1:29:42

So ETB definitely feels like what we're building around on this one as a hundred percent. It's once

1:29:44

you have this

1:29:47

card on the battlefield, I

1:29:49

mean, you can blink at every turn. You can just draw, draw, draw, draw, draw, draw, and

1:29:51

you may not even need to

1:29:54

do this more than twice

1:29:56

because you're just gonna have an additional ten, whatever fourteen

1:29:58

cars in your hand at that point. Right. I I really think you build

1:30:01

with as much creature in

1:30:03

land density as possible like,

1:30:06

I don't even know if you well, a to or

1:30:08

something. But Yeah. I mean,

1:30:10

like, a this closet.

1:30:15

Yeah. So you can get blank looking maybe. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's tough

1:30:17

because drawing those cards is is

1:30:20

very powerful. Yeah. So I

1:30:22

think the goal here is you

1:30:24

play as many cards as

1:30:26

you can to get to seven mana ASAP. Because you want it to empty your hand because Torsten's just gonna fill it right back up.

1:30:29

Yeah. So every

1:30:32

single mandatoric Landing War

1:30:34

elves, Elvish Mistake Birds of Paradise, Finnhorn elves, Arbor elves. Right? Just play all of them. Get to seven

1:30:37

mana as quickly

1:30:40

as possible. and then

1:30:42

you can just refill your hand. You can

1:30:44

slam your commander and draw a fresh seven. There's lots of little creatures which

1:30:46

I think makes a lot of sense if you're gonna be drawing

1:30:51

a ton of cards. Yeah. So they can play them that same You just wanna dump them

1:30:53

out of your hand when you flick

1:30:55

her Torsten. So

1:30:58

things like as personnel, Mother of rooms -- Mhmm. -- sport fraud,

1:31:01

weathered Wayfair, Allosaurus

1:31:03

Sheppard. Pretty good. Assure's

1:31:06

Shepard is great because it turns your little creatures into a

1:31:08

threat at the end of the game. And it

1:31:11

does not allow players to counter your

1:31:13

twist in.

1:31:13

That too. It says, this belt can't be countered and green

1:31:15

spells you control can't

1:31:16

be countered and that has an activated

1:31:18

ability that says

1:31:19

four green green until end

1:31:21

of turn, each

1:31:22

elf creature you control has base power and toughness five five and becomes

1:31:24

a dinosaur in addition to its other types.

1:31:26

So if you can take all those land

1:31:28

royals and all the mystics and all

1:31:30

of those and turn them all into dinos

1:31:32

and trample over for it. Well, elves

1:31:34

on top of Dino, so I think it's the flavor specific. Are they? It doesn't transform elves.

1:31:38

Okay. So they just

1:31:41

a dinosaur appears beneath them. Yeah. They're shepherding him, the Allosaurus. Sure. Yeah. That's Yay. That

1:31:43

makes sense. Get your

1:31:46

ride. On a dinosaur. Like,

1:31:50

it's a carnival ride. Yeah.

1:31:53

Exactly. It's it's alfinity. We're back

1:31:55

there. Pretty good. Yeah.

1:31:57

flickering Torsten seems like the way to just overkill

1:31:59

in terms of just getting everything, like a femurate. One man that exits out

1:31:59

of charge control, returns to the battlefield under

1:32:02

its owner's control and rebound so you can

1:32:04

cast again

1:32:07

-- Mhmm. -- your next upkeep. This could potentially

1:32:09

be a one manna draw

1:32:11

fourteen. Pretty good. Not too

1:32:13

crazy. However, if Amarin is

1:32:16

an instant, So you are cutting down cutting

1:32:18

down a little bit. A little. Yeah. But there are flicker effects that are based on creatures. Right?

1:32:23

So that's, like, Fellidar Guardian is a great

1:32:25

answer to this. It enters the battlefield. You may exile target permanent u control and then return

1:32:27

that card to the

1:32:30

battlefield under its owner's

1:32:32

control. masturation angel does the same

1:32:34

thing. charming prince, flicker wisp. And then if you wanna go the

1:32:36

non creature route, you got

1:32:38

sword of the person home Hartman

1:32:42

Home. Scruggs Great. It also helps

1:32:44

get you to seven. That's right. Conjur's

1:32:46

closet allows you to flick your

1:32:49

cards, teleportation circle, these are always again, I

1:32:51

imagine playing Torsten with the teleportation circle out

1:32:53

gross. Draw five cards, flicker, draw

1:32:55

another six cards. Like, you're just you're

1:32:58

in heaven at that point. I love it.

1:33:00

Now, of course, now what? You have all these cards

1:33:02

in your hand. You can't utilize them. What are you gonna do? Well, you got burgeoning. So

1:33:04

whenever you're gonna put in place a lane, you may put

1:33:06

a lane car from your hand on the battlefield.

1:33:10

You could play like land tax. Who

1:33:12

cares? Just just get your land, hand as

1:33:14

full of as possible, and just drop as many

1:33:16

lands because you got your Azusa's, try to

1:33:18

be a leasing grow. Marasa Root Razor, Tap put basic land into

1:33:20

it from your hand on the battlefield. because,

1:33:22

I mean, you're drawing all of these lands

1:33:24

also. It feels like getting them out

1:33:26

of your hand is a great way

1:33:29

to go. Yeah. Because otherwise, you just do this thing where you're like, cool. I just drew fifteen cards. Everyone do you

1:33:32

murder me yet?

1:33:34

And they're like, yes. It's

1:33:37

like, well, fortunately, I played out so

1:33:39

many more lands. I can defend myself. I can stop things from happening. Yeah. Mannebond.

1:33:44

Mansenbaum's cool. Once you've got

1:33:45

all your creatures into the battlefield that says

1:33:47

at the beginning of your end step, you

1:33:49

may reveal your hand put all land cards

1:33:51

from among at to

1:33:53

the battlefield if you do discard your hand. Yeah. So once you've dumped

1:33:55

all of your little creatures onto you can use your mana bond

1:33:57

and get all of your lands

1:34:00

into play as

1:34:03

well. Hopefully, you can get another flicker on it. Yeah.

1:34:05

If you have teleportation or you can stack it

1:34:07

so that you mannebond or you do

1:34:09

that first, draws mainland as you

1:34:11

can, play them all. you know, there's lots

1:34:13

of things you can do there. Pretty cool. I really like madame of the east

1:34:15

tree in this deck. Yes. Whenever another permanent enters the

1:34:17

battlefield under your control,

1:34:19

if it wasn't, put on the battlefield with

1:34:21

his ability, you can put a permanent card with equal or lesser conversion command costs from your hand onto

1:34:23

the So you play

1:34:26

a land, play another

1:34:28

land. Kudama also seems like

1:34:30

just

1:34:30

a great way to get your hand empty. Empty as fast as possible. So

1:34:32

you play Kudama first. You

1:34:34

play when your one drop you

1:34:37

put a land into play, play a land,

1:34:40

play another land. Yeah. Yeah. And and all of a sudden, you

1:34:42

have, you know, six fewer cards in your hand. And he's a

1:34:44

creature. so

1:34:46

you can drum off of -- Yeah. -- off of Torstrom. And

1:34:48

if you don't have the ability to enter your hand,

1:34:50

then you got your relacoroid tower type effects.

1:34:52

Yeah. And then you could also you might wanna

1:34:54

play seaborne music with Alconore if you're not looking to

1:34:57

empty your hands, so that way you just have all your you

1:34:59

can keep on tapping. Yeah. Keep

1:35:01

cast and keep blasting. do everything you need to do to

1:35:03

just go nuts here. And I

1:35:06

think we mentioned this earlier,

1:35:08

but all those protection spells we mentioned, you

1:35:10

know, the heroic interventions and all that stuff.

1:35:12

You want be playing those because you're

1:35:14

gonna make a very scary board state. You're gonna you're gonna be the threat. You've just drawn seven and cast

1:35:17

A77

1:35:20

Yep. So

1:35:21

we focused a lot on the draw seven

1:35:23

cards part of this, but there is another effect

1:35:28

on Torsten. when when she

1:35:30

dies, you make 711 soldier tokens. So you are focused

1:35:35

on that. There are lots of that you could include there

1:35:37

as well. Of course, your annoying obsessions

1:35:39

and parallel lives. So you make

1:35:41

fourteen -- Mhmm. -- total

1:35:43

divine visitations, fourteen Angeles

1:35:46

instead. Pretty good. Intangible virtue, creature tokens get plus one plus one that have vigilance.

1:35:48

You could play Luminess Broomoth again. We've talked

1:35:50

about this card three times now. It's great.

1:35:55

your commander dies comes right back has flying and enters the battlefield and

1:35:58

you get the death trigger pretty nice.

1:35:59

Hour of reckoning might be a

1:36:02

wind condition here for white white white

1:36:04

convoque and it destroys

1:36:06

all non token creatures. Yeah. Pretty nice. And then, of course, if you're playing a token deck in

1:36:09

Solesnia, it's

1:36:12

gotta be ora shards.

1:36:14

Whoa, man. Gross. Ora shards, Torsten Sacral to destroy seven

1:36:17

or including

1:36:20

Torsten eight. Arthaks are in

1:36:21

chains. Pretty good. That's pretty good. Pretty good. That's

1:36:23

what we call back breaking. And then you

1:36:25

just drew seven

1:36:28

cards to fresh hand. Okay. Torsten, pretty

1:36:30

good stuff. Seven man o.

1:36:30

Torsten. Yeah. I'm in man o. Seven man o.

1:36:33

You're in Solesnia.

1:36:35

You'll be You'll be fine.

1:36:37

What are you worried about? Alright. Let's talk about the last commander from the

1:36:40

box toppers. We got always

1:36:42

the letter x. It is Zaira.

1:36:46

the golden sting.

1:36:47

Yeah. For one and black red

1:36:49

green, so a four man A33

1:36:52

insect sassen with

1:36:54

flying and haste. Whenever Zero attacks, put an egg counter on another target creature without an

1:36:57

egg counter

1:37:00

on it. When that creature dies,

1:37:02

if it has an egg counter on it, draw a card and create A11

1:37:03

black insect creature

1:37:07

token with flying. Okay. So this reminds

1:37:09

me of Mathis feeding secret which is put down to counters on stuff and

1:37:11

you want those

1:37:14

things to die. We've seen these kind of cards before. like, Shaville is is

1:37:17

similar. It's in only in Gold Bar, it's

1:37:19

in green, black. Tetsamak puts bounty counters

1:37:21

on things. And when they die,

1:37:23

you get benefits. or you

1:37:25

you kill the things with counters on it. Yeah. So we're yeah. We're putting bounty

1:37:27

counters on stuff. interesting thing about

1:37:30

zebra that they don't usually

1:37:33

allow with these is you can put it on your own creature. Yeah. Usually, it

1:37:35

says a a creature in an opponent controls, but in this case, Zira can

1:37:37

put it on your

1:37:40

own stuff. And when that

1:37:42

creature dies, you make that one one inside token you a as which seems

1:37:44

pretty good. Yeah.

1:37:47

I I like that strategy

1:37:49

over putting them on your opponent's stuff. Because you get to use stuff

1:37:51

like the Ozzolift. Oh, yeah. It's Ozzolift time.

1:37:56

When stuff dies, the egg

1:37:58

counter goes on to the OZALIF, and then you can put it on another creature and you can keep

1:37:59

reusing that egg counter. And

1:38:02

it doesn't matter if the creature

1:38:04

has six

1:38:06

eight counters on it. It's still gonna just get you that

1:38:08

one insect creature token. But this is a great way

1:38:10

to like, hey, I put it onto my secret

1:38:13

tribe elder. I'm gonna sacrifice that. The counter goes

1:38:16

onto the OZALIF. I draw a card, make A11

1:38:18

and then I can move that counter to my

1:38:20

sport frog or

1:38:23

my undoubtedly void walker. all cards

1:38:25

that have the ability to sacrifice themselves and

1:38:27

give you that sort of extra bonus additional building. Yeah.

1:38:29

I love

1:38:32

creatures that sacrifice themselves here because you get

1:38:34

a little bit of extra value out of the sacrifice and you're under in the cantrips

1:38:39

almost. Yeah. like a thrashing Brantodon. For one green, green, you

1:38:41

can pay one sacrifice, thrashing Brantodon to

1:38:43

destroy Target, artifact, or enchantment. Or

1:38:45

caustic categoroid is a very

1:38:48

similar thing I like

1:38:50

iron in apprentice. It's a one man at zero zero and it's about filled with A11 counter on it. And when it dies, if it had

1:38:55

counters on it, put those counters

1:38:58

on target tree tree control. Very cute. A lot of that. Very good. And then you're gonna play your sack

1:39:03

outlets like viscerair, ultra of

1:39:05

dementia. Mhmm. These two cards that you put in I think are very good. These

1:39:08

are pretty

1:39:12

cool. So generous patron is a little bit

1:39:14

different than what we had been talking about, but you can also take those egg counters and

1:39:16

putting on opponents creatures. And

1:39:18

generous patron will reward you. says

1:39:22

whenever you put one or more counters on a creature, you don't control draw a card. It also has

1:39:24

support too. So it will put two

1:39:26

plus one counters on creatures when it enters

1:39:31

the battlefield, including opponents creatures. And you put hands. Yeah.

1:39:33

So, yeah, you every time

1:39:35

you put an egg token on something

1:39:37

you draw, and then every time that

1:39:39

thing dies, it dies you could

1:39:41

draw again. Yep. Which is pretty cool. The other way of

1:39:43

doubling up your egg counters is by

1:39:46

doubling up your attack triggers

1:39:48

-- Mhmm. -- putting wolf scar of ice

1:39:50

wind dale in

1:39:51

his handsome man is a neat move. He's

1:39:53

hanging out with

1:39:55

a big b. Wolfcard.

1:39:57

Wolfcard just is beef

1:39:59

rare.

1:39:59

Yeah. be more air

1:40:01

the i hope

1:40:04

Wolfcard is a human barbarian for three,

1:40:06

red, green. It is melee. It is A44 It says, if a creature you control, attacking

1:40:08

would cause a triggered ability of

1:40:10

a permanent you control to trigger.

1:40:13

that ability triggers an additional time. So

1:40:15

double the Zara triggers. So different creatures and get

1:40:18

two egg tokens per

1:40:20

attack. Yep.

1:40:22

Again, if you're putting the counters on

1:40:24

your opponent's creatures, cool, wrath

1:40:26

knight is, like, really sweet. This

1:40:28

card is sick. It's really rude.

1:40:31

Yeah. This is the call reader. This is three, and then rachdos.

1:40:33

Ratdos of firemen for A33 flying

1:40:35

and wizard deals damage to the four in the

1:40:37

form of mine's own, mine's own counters. But more importantly, creatures

1:40:39

your opponents can role with

1:40:41

couches on them can't attack or block. So you you guys just

1:40:43

wait right there without a

1:40:46

commission, they are now BSX.

1:40:50

It's pretty it's pretty good. It also,

1:40:52

like, if you have this onboard, nobody

1:40:54

attacks you. Right? Yeah. Because you just

1:40:56

block with the well, no one

1:40:58

attacks you because you can just put counters

1:41:01

on stuff. Yeah. Yeah. It's it's pretty interesting because even there they

1:41:03

could just put a plus and plus encounter on the creature and

1:41:05

they no longer can do anything. It all

1:41:07

yeah. It is small

1:41:10

upside if your opponent's playing a counter deck. So this card can really gum up the board if you're just like, you know what? need

1:41:12

a little time -- Yep. --

1:41:14

curate my bug army and cholorathnite as

1:41:19

really gonna slow things down. Yeah. And if you're, again, you're putting stuff on their creatures, then

1:41:21

you've got you're in Junt. You're

1:41:23

in the removal colors.

1:41:26

Mhmm. So internal grasp. peace within.

1:41:28

Go for the throat. Curtin's call. All of these are gonna be able to kill

1:41:30

creatures and give you your one ones and draw your cards, putrefied, the devil.

1:41:33

We could go on and on and

1:41:35

on and on and on. Absolutely.

1:41:38

There's a lot of different ways to

1:41:40

to sort of skin this pig or

1:41:42

to, I don't know, milk this hive

1:41:45

don't know. What do you do with hives? You

1:41:47

don't milk them. Yeah. Just tell you honey them. You honey the hives. There's a lot of to honey the

1:41:49

hives. You get the h

1:41:51

the honey from

1:41:53

I'm so sorry. I

1:41:55

gave that other image to everyone.

1:41:57

Mhmm. So noking a hug.

1:41:59

Doctor

1:41:59

She's a Phoebe. She's an insect assassin.

1:42:02

And she's wearing She's one of those. If you look at the original Zera, it's kinda like, why did they

1:42:06

what when did

1:42:08

they'll be get into magic? OG magicart is incredible

1:42:10

because they were just taking swings. Yeah. And now that we have

1:42:13

to deal with

1:42:16

Because because of the theme, they're like, when

1:42:18

they take these old legends, they're like, well, we gotta make another zero. We gotta make a zero. Yeah. This this

1:42:23

one's pretty looks like she could be on Nucapena,

1:42:25

to be honest. She does. She doesn't definitely has, like, the the cool cool party

1:42:28

-- Yeah.

1:42:30

-- five. She does. Yeah. She's golden too. And look at the hat. The

1:42:32

hat's so cool. Okay. Those are the

1:42:34

commanders for the second half of

1:42:37

the box toppers. Now we're gonna talk about our favorite as well as what

1:42:39

we consider to be the most powerful spoiler

1:42:42

alert. Rachel and I reached the exact

1:42:44

same conclusion. We met

1:42:46

In fact, probably based on our

1:42:48

excitement when we talked about them on this episode,

1:42:50

you'll be able to to guess which ones

1:42:52

we like most. Just probably guess But what

1:42:54

was your favorite comment from the episode?

1:42:56

Is it a stand? It's dang.

1:42:58

He's so cool. Yeah. So

1:43:00

stinging. It's a it's a totally new way to to

1:43:02

do Voltron and the fact that it gets a Voltron buddy is is just pretty sweet.

1:43:07

It's so fetch. and the most powerful commander

1:43:09

from this episode, I believe it's Torawaki, the younger -- Yeah. -- which

1:43:11

is crazy considering, normally,

1:43:14

we're trying to find two

1:43:16

man o ones or the one man arc

1:43:18

manors that are just like crazy. But in this case, Toruaki, we've saw them

1:43:21

game nights. I don't think had I seen it on game. Nice

1:43:23

actually and had had played against Josh's deck build that I would

1:43:25

consider it the strongest. But now seeing it in

1:43:28

action and hearing a lot about people talk about it,

1:43:30

it to me really stands out as the most

1:43:32

power careful. For sure. I

1:43:34

if if you're playing against Horwaki, you'll expect a lot of the storm synergy, and it's gonna be pretty tough

1:43:37

to interact with.

1:43:39

So you best keep that

1:43:41

archer off the boomerang. ten. That's pretty good. in that game. Pretty

1:43:43

good. Outside Torsten, actually kind

1:43:47

of is close too as well, either my

1:43:49

favorite or powerful because, again, drawing cards pretty good. I agree. I think Torsten's a ton of

1:43:51

fun, and it's a cool way to do a

1:43:54

Celasma blink, which we don't often see. Yeah.

1:43:56

That's right. Yeah.

1:43:58

Yeah. Yeah. Alright. To the listeners, what was your favorite commander out of the bunch that we talked about today? What was your favorite commander out of the

1:44:00

cheese?

1:44:00

five

1:44:05

thousand that we've talked about for Dominaria. What are you beside the build?

1:44:07

Did we miss any synergies that you think is super sweet tech that

1:44:09

we need to know about? Let us know

1:44:11

in the comments. there's

1:44:14

always such lively discussion down there. It's really actually

1:44:16

quite a nice place and I'm really proud of

1:44:19

the environment that we fostered over

1:44:21

the last cheese. eight years now. Oh, I'm
