0:20

I guess it's time to go back

0:22

in time.

0:23

Are you telling me you built

0:24

a time machine out

0:26

of a DeLorean? Time

0:29

is but a stubborn illusion.

0:33

I have a lot of memories of

0:35

the past. People are

0:38

time traveling within themselves. Time

0:41

travel is possible. This

0:43

was all circulating around the base that

0:46

a giant had been killed, but no one was supposed to talk

0:48

about it. I saw

0:50

three long bony fingers

0:53

reach up underneath the door, curl up to

0:56

grab it, and then disappear. When

1:00

he came over to me, dude,

1:04

he slithered over to me. And

1:10

this giant comes out of the cave and they're all frozen.

1:14

And he starts running and firing at this giant.

1:16

But the giant moves. He's

1:19

got a spear in one hand and he's running

1:21

really fast. It spears, then

1:24

holds him up like this. Somebody

1:26

else, shoot him in the face, shoot him in the face. They basically

1:29

decapitate him. Got

1:32

closer, got closer, got closer. When

1:35

he got about 15 yards away from me, I raised that

1:37

foregage and I blowed his head off. I

1:41

feel something pulling at my leg. And

1:44

I look over and there are two small

1:47

gray entities pulling at

1:49

me. And they're literally, I'm getting pulled

1:51

off the bed. I reached my hand

1:53

into this bush and I touch air.

1:56

Couldn't breathe and I couldn't move because

1:58

I know I'm seeing. a monster okay

4:08

Marcus did because we'll definitely bring you on the show

4:10

to share your experiences as well. Marcus,

4:13

you have a ton

4:15

of experiences throughout your life and

4:17

it starts in your childhood, right?

4:20

That's right, yeah. It

4:22

starts in my childhood and it goes

4:24

all through my teenage years and

4:27

for some strange reason it ends in my

4:29

mid-twenties. But

4:32

yeah, some mind-bending things,

4:35

some things that I can't explain

4:37

to this day. So yeah.

4:39

So let's

4:42

just get it going right now then with your

4:44

childhood and start walking

4:46

us into these first experiences

4:48

you had and how that progresses

4:50

throughout your life because I do

4:52

find it interesting that these experiences

4:55

seem to have stopped at some point and

4:57

I'm curious as to maybe hearing about

4:59

how these things unfold and maybe that will

5:02

show some detail as to why they stopped. I'm not sure

5:04

but let's see here it out.

5:06

Yeah. So basically

5:08

I grew up on a farm in the north

5:11

of England in a place called Lancashire

5:13

which is a county not

5:15

too far away from Manchester. A lot of people

5:17

might know Manchester, Manchester United,

5:20

the football team. So this farm

5:22

that we lived on was in

5:24

the middle of nowhere. It was a huge

5:27

old 16th century stone

5:30

farmhouse with a

5:32

lot of land around it, no streetlights

5:34

for miles and a nearest neighbor

5:37

was probably about

5:39

four miles away. And so

5:42

it could be a pretty creepy place

5:45

as it is on its own. But I

5:48

first started, odd things

5:50

first started happening when I think

5:52

when I was a toddler. For

5:55

some reason I was always afraid to

5:58

sleep in my bedroom.

6:01

My mother and father would have

6:03

sleepless nights because I just refused to

6:06

sleep in my room. And

6:08

it

6:09

was very odd. I

6:11

had lots of different incidents, names

6:14

being called out when no one was in the

6:16

house. I could hear

6:19

my name being shouted from downstairs, run

6:22

downstairs, no one was around,

6:24

no one was in the kitchen. I could see

6:26

out of the window and my mother and father

6:29

were

6:29

across in the field opposite.

6:32

So that was the first experience I had

6:34

where I was questioning

6:37

the nature of reality, if you will, at a

6:39

very young age. And

6:42

then the next experience I

6:45

could remember, it all revolved

6:47

around the bedroom that I was sleeping in when

6:49

I think back about the incident. And

6:53

I think I was probably about five

6:55

years old. All

6:59

of a sudden, I was woken up in the

7:01

middle of the night with a huge

7:03

bank and I had three shelves

7:06

on the wall where

7:10

my head was. There

7:12

was three shelves above me and it had all my board

7:14

games on and toys from when I was a kid. And

7:17

every single board game literally

7:20

flew off the shelf and buried me in

7:22

the bed. And my

7:24

mother came racing in, screaming

7:27

to my dad, what's

7:29

going on? What's going on? And

7:31

I remember pulling myself

7:33

from after all these board games, thinking,

7:36

wow, what just happened? And

7:39

it's very odd because I

7:41

remember being moved out of that bedroom into

7:45

a spare room. And I just didn't

7:47

think anything of it at that age because, you know,

7:50

you don't have to question things like that. You don't know.

7:53

It was strange. I wouldn't go back into my

7:55

own bedroom, even to play with my toys.

7:58

And at the time, it just... seems so normal,

8:01

but looking back the hindsight

8:03

it seems really strange and My

8:07

bedroom would always feel ice-cold

8:10

compared to the other room that are stopping

8:12

often and I Was

8:16

oh whenever I did go back into that bedroom I'd

8:19

find myself in the middle of the night in

8:21

the same bed as my mother and father much

8:24

to my father's annoyance He

8:26

would end up sleeping in my room

8:28

and eventually giving sleepless

8:31

nights but there's something that just

8:33

made me personally about this Eventually,

8:40

you know, I grew a bit older 10 years

8:43

old and

8:46

I'm gonna relate topic to the like

8:49

the haunting style things that was going on My

8:52

mother called to me that there was a strange

8:55

lights outside the window

8:58

so our living room at the

9:00

back of the farm overlooked miles

9:03

of Meadow land

9:05

and there was a valley looking now And

9:08

so we had what's called a telegraph

9:10

pole, which is a

9:13

The telegraph pole farmland

9:16

to the house and Using

9:18

that as a visual marker you could see a huge

9:21

circular light in the sky And

9:24

it was also like a Simon's face

9:27

with the different colors in each corner. So you

9:29

have the red yellow green

9:32

blue And my mother shouted

9:34

to my dad was actually out that evening

9:38

My mum shouted hey

9:40

come and have a look at this this is really strange. It doesn't

9:42

look like a star So

9:46

I had a look and this weird

9:48

light with different colors or tinkling

9:52

Was moving in a square formation

9:56

And you could see what this telegraph pole

9:59

was

9:59

It would move far

10:01

across to the right, up

10:05

to the left, down in

10:07

a square formation over and over and over.

10:10

And it just kept going for about half an hour

10:12

and my father eventually returned. And

10:16

my mother called him over and said,

10:18

you know, this is really strange. It doesn't

10:20

look like anything like a star.

10:23

It's not the pole star. It's not Venus.

10:26

It looks too close.

10:28

And

10:31

yeah, that was my

10:33

first UFO encounter.

10:37

And then after that, I had really strange

10:39

recurring dreams in

10:43

that bedroom especially. I have recurring

10:45

dreams. Like

10:47

at the front of the house, we had a huge yard

10:50

that led up to a big stone

10:52

barn. And I'd have these

10:54

dreams that there were

10:56

a gathering of children all holding hands.

11:00

And there was these kind of guardians

11:02

overlooking us and teaching us

11:04

and teaching

11:07

us to think things and to learn things.

11:09

And this dream happened over and over. And the

11:11

strange thing was, whenever I

11:13

awoke from one of these dreams, I

11:16

was so restless that I'd

11:18

be out of my bed on the floor

11:20

with the covers absolutely tangled around me, which

11:25

really freaked me out. And

11:28

these dreams carried on for quite a few years.

11:34

And then

11:35

after that,

11:37

my mum got ill.

11:39

Unfortunately, she got cancer. So

11:42

we had to move to my grandparents' house,

11:46

which was in a neighboring city. But

11:49

it was a very old house,

11:52

it was a stable that

11:54

had been converted into a

11:57

house. So it was actually

11:59

all the old stuff. stables had been converted

12:01

into a, the front of

12:03

the house was a cottage and the back of the house was all the

12:06

stables, but they converted it all into

12:09

a potty and joined it all. There were

12:11

some tales originally when the workers

12:13

there that there was some strange happenings and

12:15

some banging and people could hear voices,

12:18

but nobody really thought of anything

12:20

of it. When

12:23

I was stopping there, and I was

12:25

stopping in the same room as my grandfather, there

12:28

were two single beds. So I was

12:30

in a single bed. My grandfather was

12:32

in a single bed. My grandmother

12:35

was sleeping in a double bed with

12:37

my mother in another room.

12:41

I was fast

12:43

asleep. It must have been about two

12:45

in the morning and I got violently awoken

12:48

with what felt like

12:50

somebody literally pulling my face

12:53

out of the bed. It

12:56

was so shocking and visceral. I

12:59

opened my eyes and I

13:01

thought it must have been somebody trying to warn

13:03

me or something. Could it have been a fire or an emergency

13:06

or something? But when I opened my eyes, all

13:08

I could see was a hazy blur in front

13:11

of me. This panicked

13:13

me even more so.

13:15

So I started pulling

13:17

away and it was almost like suction pulling

13:19

me out to the side of the bed. I had

13:23

to pull with all my might to get

13:25

free of it. When I did, my

13:27

adrenaline kicked in so hard. I

13:30

just ran out of the room,

13:32

down the stairs, breathing

13:34

heavily and just sat

13:37

there. I didn't know what to do. It

13:39

took me about half an hour to process what

13:41

happened. So I

13:44

ran back up the stairs in

13:46

this small little cottage, peeped

13:48

tentatively around the door

13:51

to see

13:52

nothing there. My grandfather was fast

13:54

asleep. For some reason,

13:56

I didn't wake him up. I don't know

13:58

why.

13:59

people would

14:01

just freak out and woken up. Anybody

14:03

near them and said what happened. For

14:05

some reason I kept it to myself and I

14:07

just stopped up all night downstairs

14:11

in an armchair and

14:13

just thought about it and tried to

14:15

come to terms with what night it was.

14:20

That was the experience

14:23

there. After

14:28

that, unfortunately

14:32

my mum didn't make the brief with the cleanser so

14:34

she died when I was really young, I think

14:37

like 13, 14. My

14:40

dad was a truck driver just

14:42

like yourself and he was away

14:45

quite a few nights. He was delivering pet food

14:47

around the country. I

14:49

had a girlfriend at that

14:52

time. I must have been about 18.

14:58

My dad had moved us to this small

15:01

town in the middle of nowhere. I lost

15:03

touch with all my friends. I

15:06

was quite unhappy for obvious

15:09

reasons because the depression

15:12

of losing your mother at such an early age. I

15:15

built myself a whole

15:17

group of friends. I used to skateboard and I

15:20

had this big circle of friends and then

15:22

to be moved away from all that into

15:25

this town that

15:28

was quite inhospitable, a

15:30

really

15:31

small what you call terraced house

15:35

which just seemed very odd

15:37

from the outset. As soon as we moved in, I was very

15:39

unhappy but I didn't know why.

15:42

I just had never felt such

15:45

unease.

15:47

I

15:48

met my wife who

15:51

I've been married to for a long time. I met her at college.

15:54

We both met at art college and

15:58

I'd started dating her.

15:59

at the time. And

16:03

so my dad would be away

16:06

maybe Tuesdays, Wednesdays,

16:08

every week. So my

16:11

girlfriend would come around

16:13

at that time and we'd just hang out

16:15

and watch tell you her friends had come around as well.

16:18

We'd watch, you know,

16:21

a few shows back then. And

16:24

they just just hang out really like

16:26

usual. And

16:28

then what the strange thing was,

16:30

was

16:32

every time that she would go and get a

16:34

co-it to go home,

16:37

there was a strange surface

16:39

mount started to appear throughout the whole house.

16:44

And I said to her, she was just

16:46

waiting for a cab and I said, do you smell that? And

16:48

she said, yeah, it's like somebody's just struck

16:51

a match, but it's everywhere.

16:54

And that carried on for maybe a

16:56

few weeks. Always

16:58

the same night, never when my father was in.

17:02

Like clockwork.

17:04

And then things started to get worse.

17:08

So for instance,

17:09

again, my girlfriend would come round and by

17:12

the time like say 11 o'clock, she was getting

17:14

a cab home. The

17:16

surface smell had appeared, but then

17:19

a mist, a haze

17:21

would start to fill the

17:23

room. We had two rooms on the ground floor.

17:27

There was like what we call the front

17:29

room, which led out to the street. And then we

17:31

had a back room, which was more like

17:33

a lounge in a kitchen. And you

17:35

could see this mist almost, a

17:38

hazy mist gathering from the back room and

17:40

almost coming forward into the front

17:42

room. And I just thought it was my imagination.

17:46

And she was going out the

17:48

door into the cab at that time. And

17:50

this thing was like clockwork. It was almost

17:52

as if it was waiting for people to be out

17:54

the house. And then gradually

17:58

over the weeks, all hell had broken.

17:59

I

18:01

went from just the

18:03

sulfur smell to the haze,

18:06

through to noises

18:09

that I could hear. So I would literally be

18:12

in bed watching a small

18:14

portable TV back then and

18:17

I could hear banging downstairs

18:19

like what seemed like in the kitchen, a

18:21

couple rear in the drawer

18:24

would

18:25

seem like it was being rattled. So

18:27

I would run downstairs to check

18:29

things out, see nothing, couldn't

18:32

see anything, no, no, drawer

18:34

was exactly how it should be. So

18:37

this started to really unnerve me and

18:41

I ran back in the bedroom. It

18:45

made me want to barricade

18:47

myself in my room, it got that bad. So I

18:49

had this huge board that I used

18:51

to use as a drawing board like a huge

18:53

piece of wood and I'd lunge that up against my

18:56

door handle because things had

18:58

started freaking me out that much and

19:01

I would sit bolt up right in my bed afraid

19:03

to go to sleep. Then

19:06

strange things started happening.

19:08

The TV,

19:10

the signal would go off intermittently

19:13

static would be on screen for

19:16

two minutes and then the picture would come back on and

19:19

again you could hear the rattling and the banging

19:21

downstairs and

19:23

this was kind of

19:26

regular schedule like clockwork every time

19:28

my father would be away in his long distance

19:31

while he was driving. This

19:33

would happen as soon as I was in the house on my

19:35

own.

19:37

And

19:40

eventually there was an

19:42

episode where it's

19:44

almost like this, whatever it was,

19:46

whether it was an antiserum, a

19:49

poltergeist or whatever, who knows, but it's

19:52

almost like it was getting

19:54

more daring and it wasn't waiting

19:56

until I was on my own. My

19:59

girlfriend was there. one Wednesday and

20:02

we both sat downstairs about 10 in

20:04

the evening and we

20:07

both had this huge bank it was like

20:09

the house shut and we both

20:11

interpreted it totally different ways. I ran

20:14

into the kitchen she ran upstairs

20:16

to the bathroom

20:19

and then she

20:21

didn't notice anything but I kind

20:23

of went upstairs and then she ran

20:26

downstairs having a look around because we thought maybe

20:28

somebody broke in the house and

20:32

then I went into the bathroom and I noticed

20:35

something really strange. We

20:38

had the usual small bathroom it was a configuration

20:41

of the toilet a

20:43

small bathtub with

20:45

a window and the

20:47

toilet on the top of the toilet where

20:50

the flushing mechanism was there was a small

20:52

bowl of potpourri you

20:54

know the stuff that's like on makes

20:56

the house smell nice it's all

20:58

dried kind of petals

21:01

or whatever now this

21:03

bowl had been flipped

21:06

almost it was in the bathtub

21:08

which was about two foot away and

21:11

the whole room was filled for this debris

21:15

of all this potpourri but this potpourri

21:17

had actually gone on the shelf of both the

21:19

toilet as well which really

21:22

freaked me out because you know it

21:24

was kind of defying the laws of physics it

21:27

was like if somebody had knocked that over then

21:30

surely it would have just dropped onto the floor

21:33

how on earth

21:35

the actual dish had gone

21:37

from the top of the toilet

21:39

into the bathtub and then the petals

21:42

dried whatever flowers or whatever they were how

21:45

that ended up on a shelf like

21:47

a foot higher just baffled me

21:50

and these things just

21:52

kept carrying on all these weird kind of incidents

21:56

all the time and it's

21:59

almost like

22:01

This thing was following me around

22:04

because then I started to have

22:07

strange occurrences at friends' houses,

22:10

whether it be local friends that

22:12

I had or friends even in total

22:15

different counties or towns.

22:18

It's

22:19

like something has attached

22:21

to me or has found me around. It

22:24

wasn't until years later that I pieced

22:27

all these things together and tried to make sense

22:29

of it because at the time a lot of these incidents

22:32

were so far apart that we

22:34

didn't

22:35

put them together in any kind of catalogue and

22:37

try to make sense of it.

22:39

I always had a sense that

22:42

I must have been very sensitive to quite

22:44

a lot of things and there must have been something

22:51

attached to me almost or made

22:53

me able to see things or experience things

22:55

that others couldn't.

22:59

The next

23:02

kind of event that happened that was incredibly

23:05

strange, it just gets stranger as it goes

23:08

along.

23:11

I had a best friend at

23:13

that time. We met through

23:15

skateboarding and we both went

23:18

to art college. He

23:20

lived about a couple of miles away up the road

23:23

and I was visiting him. He

23:25

lived with his father and his stepmother and

23:28

it was an incredibly old cottage.

23:31

It was like a Tudor cottage

23:33

from 1600s or something like

23:36

that. His father was renovating a proxy

23:38

at the time. Half

23:42

of the rooms were in disrepair, a

23:44

lot of stapled in around the outside of the house.

23:49

Some rooms were just wood boards,

23:51

others were good to live

23:54

in. The walls

23:56

were kind of a stone.

23:58

Not stone.

23:59

a mantle wallpaper,

24:02

but the original stone from Labira.

24:07

And we were in his bedroom, and

24:10

there was a stone alcove dug

24:13

into the wall, if you will. And

24:15

he was showing me

24:17

he was at the end of his year

24:20

in college and he had a final almost

24:23

like exams to if you will,

24:25

where he had to submit some

24:27

pieces of artwork. And he was getting

24:30

my opinion on them.

24:32

And so

24:34

he put this painting up on the wall, like

24:36

this canvas, he rested it on

24:38

the wall. And at

24:42

that time I used to smoke and

24:45

a pack of Mober's. So I

24:48

took a Mober out, passed

24:50

him on. And

24:52

at that time he said, oh, will you just check

24:55

this piece of artwork I've done up and

24:57

tell me what do you think it's worthy of submitting

25:01

to this final review for the end of the year.

25:04

So I had been lit a cigarette at that

25:06

time. I walked over

25:09

to this station, and

25:11

I pressed the cigarette down on

25:13

the shelf. And it was kind of

25:15

hanging half off, half on

25:17

the shelf. But

25:21

sturdy enough on that. So I walked

25:23

over to

25:26

where my friend was stood.

25:28

And we started critiquing this painting,

25:30

you know. And

25:32

all of a sudden, we both heard

25:34

this huge sound that

25:36

just sounded like this. And

25:39

it was, at the

25:42

same time, it was so striking, so

25:44

startling. The window kind of

25:47

came open, the latch on the window opened,

25:49

and the window came open at the same time, which

25:52

really made us jump out of the skin. And

25:55

then this noise

25:57

followed by a sofa smell instantly. measures

26:00

turner heads straight away and

26:03

as soon as we turned the heads to the shelf, the

26:05

figure app looked like somebody had flicked

26:08

it with their

26:09

index finger and their thumb like you'd traditionally

26:12

do a flick. And it spun

26:14

about three foot above the shelf,

26:17

spinning into the air.

26:19

And this was the freaky thing. In

26:21

the air, it lit. And

26:25

then landed on the floor. So

26:27

when

26:29

it wasn't lit before it went in the air,

26:32

but as soon as the air lit. Exactly.

26:35

And there wasn't any flame or anything nearby.

26:37

Nothing. Very interesting. It

26:40

was so freaky that me

26:42

and my friend, we just

26:45

primal instincts came in and we ran

26:47

out of the room, down the stairs,

26:51

through the living room, through the kitchen, out

26:53

the floor, round the front of the

26:55

property, across the other

26:57

side of the street. And we're just staring

27:00

up at his bedroom window in shock.

27:03

And we were looking at each other

27:04

and we were saying to each other, did that

27:07

just happen?

27:08

And he was like, yeah, the cigarette just flicks

27:11

and let itself up. And

27:13

I said, yeah, that's what I saw. And

27:16

we spent 10 minutes trying

27:18

to rationalize it to

27:20

each other before

27:23

tentatively throwing that up into that room

27:26

to try and analyze it like a crime scene. And

27:29

we couldn't accept the reality

27:31

of that because it just seemed too

27:33

far out. How

27:35

could ever that happen? It just is impossible.

27:38

So we were trying to rationalize it with events

27:42

that might have caused it. Could

27:44

it have been a gas leak?

27:46

A spark? Could there

27:49

have been a lightning strike and that

27:51

blown the window open? Just

27:54

any kind of rational thing could a light

27:57

nearby have exploded?

28:00

and we didn't notice all

28:03

these kind of things, but there was no alert in the evaluation.

28:08

It was one of these incidents where it

28:10

was really freaky, but like your

28:13

brain just ended up rationalizing it and

28:15

storing it away.

28:17

And then

28:18

other things start to happen in that prophecy, which

28:21

put a perspective to the cigarette

28:24

incidents and most. And

28:26

the first thing that

28:28

happened was, it

28:30

was confirmation

28:33

from his snap mother that not herself,

28:35

so it made us think that something was

28:37

going on in the house. She was an artist too, and

28:40

she would do a lot of painting, a lot of oil

28:42

painting. And in one of these rooms, it was still

28:45

being renovated. She'd

28:47

hold other canvases on easels,

28:51

and she had a lot of

28:52

blank canvases

28:54

on the floor, and

28:57

she just nipped out to go and make a

29:00

cup of coffee downstairs. And

29:03

all her canvases were neatly stacked on

29:06

the floor against the wall, but

29:08

she came back in the room, and

29:10

a lot of these canvases were

29:12

lodged in a drawer

29:15

of this cabinet. If

29:17

you imagine a long horizontal drawer,

29:20

and you imagine that the drawer had been opened, and

29:23

canvases had been vertically lodged

29:26

by the corners and jammed in the drawer so that

29:28

it was stuck upright, and

29:30

this really freaked her out. And

29:33

she hadn't told us this until my friend

29:35

had started talking about

29:37

some of the experiences that he

29:40

had and I had, and also some

29:42

of her other friends had had well-business in

29:44

the painting. One

29:46

of her other friends visited,

29:49

and he was in the bathroom

29:51

brushing his teeth, and

29:54

something startled him and came past the window.

29:57

It looked like

29:58

a figure.

29:59

down, like almost

30:02

falling vertically past the window. And

30:04

the only thing that he could possibly

30:07

describe it as was like a shadowy figure

30:09

looked like it was hanging, it seems. He

30:13

just double-taked and it really freaked him out.

30:16

He came running out and

30:18

told my friend at that time. All

30:22

these stories started to come out about this proxy.

30:26

And then overnight

30:29

I was stopping there overnight. I used to stop

30:31

there.

30:33

We used to watch like

30:34

animes or play video games and

30:37

almost a bit about 22 or

30:39

something at that point.

30:42

And then in

30:43

the middle of the night, my friend was always really restless.

30:45

He was an insomniac

30:48

and often I'd find my friend's

30:50

awakening in the night to find that

30:52

he wasn't around. He

30:54

was downstairs watching TV because

30:56

he couldn't sleep. So that was

30:58

normal.

31:00

But this night

31:01

I was awakened by

31:03

breath on my ear and a voice

31:06

whispering

31:07

and it said, what are you doing? What

31:09

are you doing? And

31:11

then quickly turned round thinking it was my friend.

31:13

And I said, what do you

31:16

want? And I turned round and there was nobody there.

31:19

And this really startled me. So

31:22

the first thought was, has he quickly

31:24

just walked out the room? Has he played a game for me?

31:28

So I ran downstairs and

31:31

the stairs were big enough for

31:33

him not to have got enough lead to

31:35

go. I would have heard him running down the stairs

31:37

if that was the case. He went downstairs and

31:39

he was just asleep on

31:41

the chair. I went

31:44

to upstairs

31:45

and

31:47

was afraid to go back to sleep that night because

31:50

it was just so weird. And this physical

31:52

sensation of breath on in your

31:54

ear and just this foreboding,

31:57

what are you doing? Kind of

31:59

voice it just.

31:59

just really freaked me out.

32:03

It was then I started to

32:05

think,

32:07

am I attracting all this? Or is

32:09

it just that all these houses

32:11

that we're in just so old and just so

32:13

rich, full of history?

32:16

I started to question at that point. Then

32:21

we had some more confirmation from

32:25

his old cartridges that

32:27

were renovating. I

32:29

think it was his father had gone

32:31

out to the main bedroom where they slept.

32:34

I mean, my friend's a stepmother.

32:37

He'd come back into the bedroom and

32:39

all the books and CDs were stacked up

32:42

in the middle of the room in

32:44

a huge vertical pile. So

32:48

it's very evident at that point that

32:50

it's like poltergeist activity.

32:53

And so there must have been

32:55

some

32:56

event or incident maybe

32:58

in the past that caused

33:01

this place to be very haunted indeed. Maybe

33:03

with my friend seeing this person, or he

33:06

hung himself.

33:08

Maybe there was a troubled spirit there.

33:11

Who knows?

33:15

Yeah, so that was

33:18

the kind of, that brings to

33:20

a close,

33:21

my friends haunted

33:22

historic cottage, if you will.

33:27

I have like another story that about

33:30

that same time,

33:33

I was working at a local newspaper

33:35

as a designer, like designing newspaper.

33:38

This was before the web, it was like 1996.

33:42

And a few of us decided to

33:45

organize a social event. And

33:48

one guy suggested out, I

33:51

hear this is placed nearby called Chingle Hall.

33:55

It's a really old property that's meant to be one of the

33:57

most haunted places in England. And

34:01

so they're allowing visitors,

34:03

he said, to do sleepovers in

34:06

groups of 12. And there's a guide

34:08

there. The people that live

34:11

there, they kind of keep out of the way.

34:13

They lock themselves in the living room. And

34:15

they let you kind of roam around this old prophecy

34:19

and just experience all

34:21

the strange going on. So we said,

34:24

yeah, let's organize that.

34:26

And

34:27

so we all arrived.

34:30

It was a winter's evening. It was dark.

34:34

And I imagine

34:36

some big kind of stately mansion, but

34:38

it wasn't anything like that. It was a small, tiny,

34:41

white building.

34:43

But it was

34:44

very, very old. It was built in the year 2060.

34:48

And it had such rich history.

34:51

Through the time when the

34:54

Catholic Church was being prosecuted by

34:56

Queen Elizabeth, I think

34:58

the first, if I've got that right,

35:01

because the Catholics were trying to plot against the

35:04

crown.

35:05

And probably were to hunt down Catholics.

35:08

This prophecy had priest

35:10

holes, as they called them, to hide priests away

35:13

so that they didn't get arrested and

35:15

prosecuted and much worse. And

35:20

this house had been untouched

35:24

in a lot of ways and left in

35:26

its original glory,

35:28

if you will. There was like a little small

35:31

altar in a room, old stone slab

35:33

floors everywhere. You

35:35

could see all these priest holes in the fireplaces.

35:41

It was quite a small place. There was,

35:44

I'd say, like three or four rooms downstairs

35:46

on the ground level and upstairs.

35:49

There was another, maybe

35:52

three, four rooms, all wooden floors

35:54

with beams. Very old. And

35:56

there was almost like a mouth around this property

35:59

with an old wall.

35:59

bridge that crossed this mouth.

36:02

So we arrived and

36:05

they sat us down and

36:07

they started telling us stories

36:10

about other people who had visited there and

36:13

they started showing us all these strange photographs

36:17

on the wall that had been developed.

36:20

The party had an unusually big

36:23

amount of org sightings around. Pretty

36:26

much every guest who ever took photos of

36:29

anyone outside or any of the scenery

36:31

or landscape could see orbs,

36:34

all different shapes, sizes, colours. So

36:36

there was this whole wall that was dedicated

36:39

to these orb photographs which

36:43

was strange in itself because

36:45

you expect to go to a place like that

36:48

and for it to be oh it's a

36:50

bit spooky and people tell stories but

36:53

it turned out that you know things

36:56

were a lot more physical

36:58

and just getting some kind of skies

37:00

from stories you know things, visual

37:03

evidence

37:04

and then

37:05

our guide at that time he sat

37:07

us all down and he said

37:10

there was an incident here a few weeks ago

37:12

that to this day

37:14

nobody can figure out it just freaked everybody

37:16

out. There was a group of young girls visiting

37:20

on a similar kind of overnight event

37:23

and the

37:25

girls it got to like 5.30

37:27

in the morning there was a few strange activities

37:30

like people could hear things and

37:32

people

37:34

heard strange sounds but nothing to

37:36

prepare people for what was going

37:39

to happen. 5.28 a.m. in the morning people

37:42

were getting sleepy people are up around

37:44

the kitchen table and they're all kind

37:46

of getting sleepy and falling forwards

37:49

and some of them were fast asleep

37:51

some of them were trying to stay awake all

37:54

of a sudden they were rudely awakened by

37:56

a horrific blood-curdling

37:58

screen that seemed to be come from everywhere

38:01

around the house. Luckily, we

38:04

had

38:05

Cassatt recorder at that time recording

38:07

this.

38:08

And this screen just sounded like, the

38:11

players ran the screen, and you could hear it. So

38:14

it was just silence. And then this screen

38:16

reverberated around the house, echoing

38:19

everywhere. And it sounded like multiple layers

38:22

all at the top of each other. Do you still have

38:24

that? Do you still have the recording? Funnily

38:26

enough, it's available on YouTube. If

38:29

you search jingle hole,

38:31

so that's C-H-I-N-G-L-E-H-A-L, jingle

38:38

hole, and you search screen

38:41

with that search phrase, it

38:43

actually comes up somebody's poster. You

38:46

send this.

38:47

Can I play it real quick? Sure, yeah. That'd

38:50

be awesome. All right, give me one second here. I'm

38:52

leaving. Give me just

38:55

that. I know. Yeah.

39:04

Was that the screen?

39:05

Yeah. That is chilling.

39:08

Yep, it's blood curdling. That

39:11

is chilling. Let's hear that again.

39:14

I'm leaving. Give

39:16

me just that.

39:26

What you're hearing there is in bite.

39:28

And you're hearing a few of the

39:31

guests speaking, and then the

39:33

screen kind of kicks in. And

39:35

then it makes other people scream

39:37

because of the sheer

39:39

shock of it

39:40

towards the end. And they sent it away to be analysed

39:43

by audio analysts. They

39:46

couldn't make any sense out

39:48

there, probably.

39:49

Just didn't. Well, I'll tell

39:51

you, I mean, I heard the scream in the beginning.

39:54

And then I could tell that there was other people

39:56

screaming in the background then, too. And I would have as

39:58

well. But you could definitely hear it. hear that scream

40:00

come in and that is chilling,

40:03

absolutely chilling.

40:04

Yeah. And this, um, that

40:07

was just one of the things that

40:09

sets up to be terrified for the night

40:11

while staying there. And, um,

40:14

we had one of the guys was

40:17

saying, we had another guy that just

40:19

walked out, but never came back and never

40:21

said a word to anybody. He had

40:23

a lot of UFO sightings apparently.

40:26

And

40:27

one night this guy who used

40:30

to sleep in one of the rooms after

40:32

one of these um, tours, if you will, he

40:35

was awakened in the middle of the night and

40:39

he swears that he looks

40:41

over to the doorway and there was a

40:43

cat-like

40:45

humanoid entity

40:47

in the room

40:48

with its arms in front of its face.

40:51

And if you can imagine

40:53

its arms kind of moving up

40:55

and down, like almost like windscreen, like

40:58

in a cartoon like fashion, he said,

41:00

like just looking so unreal,

41:03

like really fast, faster

41:05

than a human could.

41:07

And he just

41:09

bolted out of this room and never came back,

41:11

never showed up for work ever again. And,

41:15

um, I just thought that was such a strange

41:17

story and not the traditional kind of story that a

41:19

guide would tell you to scare people, but just,

41:21

you know, a very odd story. So,

41:25

you know, flash forward to our night and

41:27

then we got to something like five

41:29

in the morning and

41:32

nothing happened with regards to sounds

41:35

or experiences, but five in the morning again,

41:38

everybody was asleep apart from me. And

41:40

I could hear what sounded like stone slabs

41:43

moving around on the ground, like stone

41:46

being dragged upon stone in

41:48

what we called the priest room where there

41:50

was this little altar and this fireplace.

41:54

And so I ran into this little room, couldn't

41:57

see anything. I would run back

41:59

to the. this dining

42:02

table where we were all sat and

42:04

fit there again and then I could hear it. As soon as I

42:06

came back to the place, the stone slab

42:08

kind of movement grinding wood started

42:10

again and then I could hear banging

42:13

again in what was the kitchen area and

42:15

cutlery and smashing

42:17

around and so I was waking people up saying, did you

42:19

hear that? And then it just stopped.

42:23

And after that, nothing

42:25

really else happened after that, but just such

42:27

a strange event, nevertheless, but

42:31

my girlfriend at that time, who's now my wife, she

42:33

had a best friend that also visited

42:35

the property and she appeared

42:38

on an English TV show recounting

42:40

her experience. I

42:42

can't remember the name of the TV shows by

42:45

a guy called Michael Ashbrook and it was something

42:47

like Unsolved Mysteries

42:50

or something to that effect and she

42:52

recounted when her and her friends were

42:54

there for some kind of charity event,

42:57

sweep over things. And

43:01

they were all holding hands trying to communicate

43:04

with something or

43:07

sounds or impression and she had a

43:10

hand push her in the shoulder really

43:12

hard and knock her and she turned

43:14

around and nothing was there. And

43:17

so she appeared on this TV show with that.

43:20

And so it's a very interesting

43:22

property. I urge anyone to go and look

43:24

it up online. I don't know whether they

43:27

still accepting public

43:29

visits, probably not because it was such

43:32

a long time ago,

43:34

but it just shows how all these really ancient

43:37

properties, the other story by the way, going

43:39

back to it, is they told us that it was

43:41

on multiple lay lines, which anyone

43:44

doesn't know what lay lines are. The big magnetic

43:46

lines that run around

43:48

the world. And now the story

43:50

goes that if these magnetic

43:52

lines cross, then you can have

43:55

paranormal experiences or UFO

43:58

sightings are quite common or crop circles.

43:59

So

44:00

this was on

44:02

a spot that actually crossed quite a few lay

44:04

lines.

44:07

So yeah, fast

44:10

forwarding onto other experiences

44:13

that I had. I

44:17

moved out of my dad's house because to

44:19

be quite honest, those experiences

44:22

were getting so much in that bedroom where

44:24

I couldn't sleep. I was having

44:26

a sleepless night week after week,

44:28

only when he was away. And

44:31

I just wanted to move out. And so

44:33

my girlfriend, her parents,

44:37

had moved out of their property. They'd

44:40

bought a new property and they rented out their

44:43

property to us. And

44:45

so it was great. I had my freedom and we were

44:47

setting up a home together. And

44:51

then strange things started happening there.

44:53

It was like it followed me. And

44:56

the first strange thing that happened was we

44:59

sat in the lounge area watching

45:01

TV. My

45:04

wife

45:05

said to me, I

45:07

just saw somebody in the reflection in

45:09

our room. They were

45:12

outside. I could see somebody reflected

45:15

behind me in the room. Maybe

45:18

I'm just seeing things. So

45:21

I just didn't brush it off as just nothing.

45:24

A week later, we were both

45:27

climbing up the stairs to go to bed. The

45:29

smell of rotten meat

45:33

permeated through the whole stair, the

45:35

hallways leading up to the stairs, all the way up the stairs

45:38

into the bedroom. It

45:41

started as rotten meat and then it turned

45:43

into sulfur and then it just disappeared,

45:47

which was really odd. A

45:49

couple of months went by, nothing going

45:52

on. And at that point, I started getting

45:54

to music production and

45:57

we moved our bedroom into a small

45:59

bedroom. so that I could convert the

46:01

main front bedroom into a music

46:03

studio of sorts. At

46:06

that time, I was collecting

46:09

all the old Star Wars figures that I used to have

46:12

when I was a kid again. I was going around

46:15

free markets and going

46:17

buying them all and trying to build out the collection.

46:20

I built these shelves onto the wall and

46:23

I'd got quite a collection of these Star Wars figures

46:25

again and some of the vehicles. They

46:28

were all stood up on these shelves,

46:30

all lined up, as you can imagine.

46:34

I would sat down in the middle of the room playing

46:37

on a keyboard,

46:38

looking at this computer. Then

46:42

I felt this presence, but

46:44

somebody was watching me. I just had this

46:46

feeling, really, eerily odd feeling.

46:49

It made me turn around really quickly. As soon

46:52

as I turned around, one by

46:54

one, Star Wars figure looked

46:56

like it had been flicked off a shelf

46:59

one at a time. One figure

47:02

popped,

47:02

spun around into the middle of the room quite

47:05

far.

47:05

Pop,

47:07

flick, another figure spinning around

47:09

into the middle of the room, one by one,

47:11

up to the total of like 10 different

47:14

Star Wars figures that had been flicked into the middle of

47:16

the room. Again, my rational

47:20

brain kicked in and started saying, okay,

47:22

okay, I have a small farm

47:24

heater. Did that come on by

47:27

accident or something below the mark? No,

47:29

that didn't come on. Trying

47:32

to rationalize it in any kind of way possible.

47:36

This feeling carried on for quite a few

47:38

weeks. It was being watched around

47:41

the house when it was on my

47:43

own. Then

47:44

years later, we got talking to my

47:47

mother-in-law, my wife's mother, who

47:51

I started telling around how

47:53

these experiences happen when we're living in that

47:56

same house. She teetered up and she said,

47:58

oh, I had a lot of problems. lots

48:00

of experiences there. And I think it was my

48:02

deceased mother.

48:04

Because I

48:07

smelled similar things to you over the years, like the

48:10

odd smells, but once I was at the bottom of

48:13

the staircase where I smelled rotten

48:15

meat smell and so on. She

48:17

could smell the exact same perfume that

48:19

her mother had always worn.

48:22

And bringing these stories to

48:24

her

48:25

measure really tear up and think, something

48:28

actually was weird going on. And she swore that it

48:30

was her mother. And

48:35

there was talk of smelling

48:37

flowers that she used to have and all sorts of

48:39

things like that. So

48:41

that house got demolished.

48:46

We had to move out of that house because

48:48

the local government, the council bought

48:50

it and they raised the ground. The

48:54

bulldozer house and we had to

48:56

move away. I

48:58

moved into another property and I never

49:00

had

49:01

any

49:03

issues in this property apart from my sleep

49:05

paralysis.

49:06

Issues, which is really strange.

49:08

But I started visiting a friend,

49:11

the same friend who had

49:15

the cottage, who's done, you know,

49:17

owned the old cottage with all the

49:20

Mr. Grains. He

49:22

was stopping in this house in

49:25

a place called Broadfoot, which is in Yorkshire,

49:27

another Northern County,

49:30

a historical mill town, lots of old properties.

49:34

And these properties were huge.

49:36

They were like four storage properties with

49:39

so many different rooms in them that students

49:42

would rent them out while they were going to Broadfoot University.

49:44

So I had a lot of friends that were stopping in this

49:46

same property at that time. And I would visit

49:49

them every weekend. I would go and start

49:51

with them. One

49:54

weekend, they had

49:56

a huge party, people

49:59

in the basement. people were in all different levels

50:01

of this house all mingling

50:04

around. But then the party entered

50:06

out, it got to like one in the morning, no

50:09

one around. Everybody

50:12

had gone who didn't live there. All the people

50:14

had locked themselves away in the different bedrooms. You

50:17

can imagine all these different rooms had been converted

50:19

into individual bedrooms. So

50:22

like what used to be the laundry room would

50:24

be a student's bedroom. And then you'd

50:26

have a flight of stairs that go up and

50:28

then the stairs would turn

50:30

and go up another level. And then you'd have another

50:33

couple of rooms, two or three rooms that

50:35

had been converted into student rooms. A

50:38

third level, similar. And

50:40

then finally on the top floor where my friend's room

50:43

was, it was the very top, which probably

50:45

used to be the attic, which was converted or

50:47

something. And my

50:51

son was sleeping in

50:53

a room with a few others. There wasn't enough room. And

50:55

I drew this short straw and they said to me,

50:57

we're going to give you a sleeping bag. You're

51:00

going to have to sleep at the top of the

51:02

stairs on this, what we call the landing. The

51:06

area where there

51:08

was a bit of space before there was a bathroom

51:11

and there was two doors. So the two doors

51:13

were two bedrooms, there was bathroom and I had

51:15

this square little area

51:18

to just

51:19

crashing.

51:20

So I'd gone to sleep. I

51:23

was quite happy there.

51:25

And then

51:26

three o'clock in the morning, I was awakened

51:29

with the weirdest sound I ever heard in my

51:32

life. It was like

51:35

somebody had done a montage and overlaid

51:37

things. It was so weird. Imagine

51:41

a crowd of people, all the class

51:43

twins we came at,

51:45

all at once, male, female,

51:47

all different age groups, all

51:49

at the same time, like a cacophony

51:52

of different

51:53

people

51:55

coming nearer up the stairs like they were

51:57

all sending the stairs. But on top of that, it was

51:59

amazing. mechanical sound which was like

52:01

a whirring like mmm mmm

52:05

mmm

52:06

and

52:07

mixed with all the sound of chattering

52:09

and conversation all this

52:11

kind of

52:12

strange sound

52:14

and this just didn't sound right I actually

52:16

thought I was dreaming or just

52:19

I didn't know what to think so my gut

52:21

instinct was I jumped out of

52:23

this sleeping bag ran down

52:25

one flight of stairs tried

52:28

some people's doors they were all locked ran

52:30

down another flight of stairs looked

52:33

around nobody there I

52:35

thought oh maybe some people had come back in

52:37

from the party that left earlier so

52:40

I checked out every level of the party no

52:43

one there everybody's fast asleep

52:46

the house was you know you you couldn't you could

52:48

hear a pin top

52:50

went back upstairs

52:52

so oh maybe maybe I was asleep

52:54

maybe it was a dream I'm

52:56

gonna put myself back in a sleeping

52:58

bag and I'm gonna go back to sleep the moment

53:02

I let down again this whirring

53:04

humming mechanical sound started

53:07

happening again mmm mmm

53:09

all this chattering started up and

53:12

it got louder and louder and it actually got to the point

53:14

where it sounded like it was going

53:17

to come up to my level and it sounded

53:19

like there was literally going to be 30 people there

53:22

all chattering I

53:24

got so afraid that I locked myself

53:26

in the bathroom and slept in the bathtub all

53:28

night I just didn't know

53:30

what to think so in the morning I kind

53:33

of doubted myself and I

53:35

started almost interviewing people from

53:38

the different rooms has anything strange

53:41

happened I didn't want to tell them what had happened with me I

53:43

just wanted to be totally

53:45

not influence anyone

53:47

so I said has anything strange ever happened while

53:49

you've been living here

53:52

two girls who shed a

53:54

room said yeah we

53:56

get strange things going on like a posters

53:59

have been ripped off the wall one night. Post

54:03

has been moved from one wall to another. My stereo

54:07

had moved. Different

54:10

people are telling me different stories like this

54:12

from different rooms. One guy said he'd seen

54:14

shadow of people in the basement one night while

54:17

he was putting a hangout down

54:19

there. And the strange

54:22

thing was another one of my friends

54:25

went and slept

54:27

in the exact same room a year later,

54:31

which was just plain

54:33

weird. I just thought what are the odds of that?

54:36

So I asked him if anything strange had gone on

54:38

with this old property and he says, yeah,

54:40

similar stories. I never

54:42

got to the bottom of what it was that I

54:45

experienced. I

54:46

hadn't got a clue.

54:48

It sounded beyond a normal haunting

54:51

to me. Something just got

54:54

my hackles up and I just thought it was the

54:56

first time I started thinking about UFOs

54:59

or alien encounters.

55:01

At that time, I was reading

55:03

now, Wirtley Strieber and the

55:05

book communion, which everybody kind of knows. The

55:10

front cover of the book just freaked me

55:12

out. Obviously, I've seen the gray alien cover,

55:16

the same imagery over the years because

55:18

I've been into paranormal. It got me interested

55:20

in the paranormal all my experiences, but

55:23

something about that book just freaked

55:25

me out so badly.

55:30

I just went through a stage of

55:33

paranoia even in this new house that we were

55:35

living in. I wanted to check all

55:37

the closets all the time before

55:39

I go to bed. I would have to sleep

55:41

with lights on and things like that. It

55:44

wasn't too long. I left

55:46

that house and went

55:48

traveling. I finally got

55:51

settled and didn't have this anxiety. But

55:54

going back to this house that we've moved into, it

55:56

was that we finally got

55:58

married. my life and I, and

56:02

we bought this house that

56:04

was what we call a semi-detached

56:06

house. It was a three bedroom

56:09

and I had

56:13

my first

56:15

proper UFO encounter,

56:17

if you will, and

56:19

something told me I knew it was going

56:23

to happen. I was led on

56:25

the couch looking out the window

56:27

and

56:29

I just

56:31

had this urge to look into the distance.

56:34

We were afforded a really beautiful

56:36

view out of the big bay

56:38

window. I could see

56:41

over what was called the Ribble Valley and

56:44

we had these really huge

56:46

hills in the distance that span

56:49

the whole landscape and you could see in the

56:51

horizon all you can see these big hills

56:53

and we had this famous

56:56

hill called Pendle Hill where they used to have

56:59

the famous witches of Pendle

57:01

Hill and all these like folklore. So

57:03

we could see

57:06

this view was kind of uninterrupted, if

57:08

you will, all the way to the distance and

57:10

something told me to look and look carefully

57:14

into the distance over to these hills. We

57:16

just had this sixth sense and

57:19

I kept watching and watching all of a sudden in the distance

57:21

what looked like when you look into the distance

57:24

and you see a balloon or something

57:26

like that or a hot air balloon this

57:28

thing was coming closer and closer and

57:32

my gut feeling was getting stronger

57:35

if you really thought it was like my body sensed a

57:37

kitten and I

57:39

kept watching and watching and something urged

57:41

me to go out around the side of the house and

57:44

as this thing came over it started

57:46

to become evident that it wasn't a

57:48

balloon. It looked physical,

57:51

it looked like it had mechanical

57:56

almost markings all like it. It

57:58

was metallic, it was

57:59

It was barrel shaped, it was

58:02

rotating

58:03

on its axis very,

58:06

very slowly

58:07

and ran to the side of the house, into the back

58:10

garden, up some steps

58:12

where I could get a better view. And

58:14

it came so close that it must have been 100 foot

58:17

above the house.

58:20

And this thing

58:21

was barrel like and then I noticed it

58:24

had three or four odes, I'm not

58:26

sure, three or four, odes that

58:28

were metallic

58:30

looking, circling, orbiting. There

58:33

was the main object, which was this

58:35

barrel like thing that you could see markings

58:37

on and it looked metallic and it

58:40

was spinning on its axis, but these

58:43

orbs around the outside were orbiting it.

58:47

Almost like they were magnetically

58:49

attached and they were in

58:51

a formation, all orbiting,

58:53

all at the same distance apart from each other.

58:56

I screamed to my wife

58:58

to come out and look because I wanted to check

59:01

this out because I'd been talking about paranormal

59:03

stuff for a few years and I'd had a big

59:06

fascination in my phones. So she

59:08

came out around the side of the house absolutely

59:10

in disbelief and she was

59:13

saying, wow, what is that? That

59:16

is crazy. It's

59:19

some kind of technology. It's physically.

59:23

And the moment she said that all the orbs

59:26

separated all at once, super

59:28

fast, shut off into the distance. And

59:33

then this object slowly, very

59:36

slowly, in fact, just carried on spinning

59:40

and then just drifted off into the distance.

59:44

At that point, I was kicking

59:48

myself not to go and go. I had a really good camera, a

59:51

Canon, an XLR camera, and

59:53

I just wished I'd gone and took some

59:55

snaps. I didn't have any video equipment

59:58

at that time, mobile phones. We're

1:00:01

still in the old Nokia stage, you didn't have decent

1:00:04

video on or anything like that. But

1:00:07

I had the corroboration of another witness and it

1:00:10

just blew my mind. At

1:00:14

that point, I realised

1:00:16

that it wasn't just things

1:00:19

I've read about, that something strange is

1:00:22

out there and something that could it have been

1:00:24

military technology? Yes, I suppose

1:00:26

so. We had a local

1:00:29

aerospace company at

1:00:31

a place called Salmsbury and it's called

1:00:34

BAE Systems, British Aerospace,

1:00:37

something else, Salms Systems. They're

1:00:40

known for doing

1:00:42

projects, maybe they do secret projects

1:00:45

and stealth crafts, who

1:00:47

knows? But this kind of

1:00:49

was one of the go-to things that I thought I'd put it up

1:00:52

in some experimental craft, who

1:00:54

knows? But with these orbs, I'd

1:00:56

heard all the stories of these, I've

1:00:58

been a UFO researcher for years,

1:01:00

I'd heard the stories about

1:01:03

orbiting orbs and

1:01:05

things like that around, I've seen

1:01:07

the videos of the things.

1:01:09

The strange thing is, many

1:01:11

years later on YouTube,

1:01:14

a person posted a sighting

1:01:18

of what looked like there was

1:01:20

a

1:01:21

kid playing in the backyard and this object

1:01:23

had come down and almost like, turned

1:01:25

down and I

1:01:27

was interested in this kid playing in the

1:01:30

backyard and it looked very similar

1:01:32

to this object to what I'd seen and then I'd

1:01:35

seen some other clips over the years, like something

1:01:37

filmed in Nevada and

1:01:39

some strange things and they all looked very similar

1:01:41

to me.

1:01:43

Then

1:01:45

I started researching things like

1:01:47

this Black Knight satellite, I don't know if you've ever

1:01:49

heard of that. Yeah, I've heard of it, I don't

1:01:51

know a ton about it but I've heard a lot about

1:01:53

it. It's just, it's one of the things where

1:01:56

there's so much speculation about it,

1:01:58

I'm not sure what details to go with.

1:01:59

with.

1:02:01

And yeah, so I started researching

1:02:03

the Black Knight and

1:02:05

the

1:02:06

very kind of imagery that

1:02:08

I could see of it looked

1:02:11

very similar to what

1:02:13

I'd seen in the Royalty. The

1:02:16

technology didn't look like it

1:02:19

was my man. It just looked too abstract and

1:02:21

too strange and all the markings on it

1:02:23

and it just looked like nothing. A person

1:02:27

couldn't be on board this thing

1:02:29

the way it was operating. It was

1:02:31

just too abstract. And

1:02:33

my gut feeling was it was some kind of probe

1:02:36

or

1:02:37

you know, this was years before

1:02:39

drones existed. But

1:02:42

it just looked like something like that. Very,

1:02:44

very strange. And this

1:02:46

reminded me of

1:02:48

another incident that I'd forgotten about

1:02:50

that the same cottage that with

1:02:52

the cigarette

1:02:53

incidents with it lighting upon its

1:02:55

own. When

1:02:57

his father was renovating that property, he had

1:02:59

scaffolding on the outside of the house, which was

1:03:02

leading to the the roof tank.

1:03:04

So

1:03:05

me and my friend and another friend would spend

1:03:08

all summer just sat on top of this rooftop

1:03:10

just staring at the same valley

1:03:12

that I was talking about before that this other property

1:03:14

looked out onto. For some reason,

1:03:16

we all have this fascination

1:03:18

with this valley and this

1:03:20

hills in the distance. We just watched and watched.

1:03:23

When it was night, we just stare up at the stars

1:03:25

and look for satellites coming past. One

1:03:28

summer's day, we were

1:03:30

all staring just for some reason, we were just

1:03:32

talking to each other, having,

1:03:34

you know, tons of jokes. We're

1:03:37

all looking in the same place. And there's this

1:03:39

garraffi

1:03:40

hill in the distance, this huge hill.

1:03:44

And we all noticed at the same time,

1:03:47

a metal

1:03:48

disc

1:03:49

slowly ascend just

1:03:51

above hill level, just

1:03:53

enough that you could see the top of

1:03:56

the disc to realize that it was a dome

1:03:58

shaped disc. Traditionally,

1:03:59

a massive metal UFO looking thing.

1:04:02

And this hill was so far in the distance,

1:04:05

this thing must have been huge. And

1:04:07

as soon as we'd noticed it, it very slowly

1:04:10

descended below the line of

1:04:13

the hill. So

1:04:16

it was not visible anymore.

1:04:18

And we looked at each other and said, did you see that?

1:04:21

Yeah, yeah, I saw that, my friend said. It

1:04:23

just slowly came up and

1:04:26

as soon as it came up, it went back down

1:04:28

again.

1:04:29

And

1:04:31

yeah, there were only two major

1:04:33

UFO incidents

1:04:35

where both had corroboration

1:04:38

and eyewitnesses. And

1:04:43

after that,

1:04:45

I didn't have any other paranormal

1:04:49

experiences per se,

1:04:51

but I had a lot of weird sleep paralysis,

1:04:55

waking up in the middle of the night,

1:04:57

jumping up bolts, upright, talking in my

1:04:59

sleep, things

1:05:02

like that. My wife would

1:05:04

be really freaked out, she'd be

1:05:05

waking up saying, what's going on? What the hell are

1:05:07

you doing? You just

1:05:10

sat up

1:05:12

upright in bed for no reason. And

1:05:14

you were just talking to somebody and you

1:05:16

really scaring me like, what's going on?

1:05:19

I'd had these strange

1:05:21

nights where I'd wake up and the

1:05:24

peripheral vision of C shapes coming

1:05:26

down from the ceiling, it looked like almost mechanical

1:05:29

spided contraptions of you are coming

1:05:32

down from the ceiling above. And I'd just

1:05:34

put it down to, oh, you know, I

1:05:36

was having some kind of weird

1:05:38

nightmares and stuff like that.

1:05:42

But this carried on, we went traveling

1:05:44

around the world, we went to Australia.

1:05:49

And I had a very strange event in

1:05:51

Australia, we were touring up and down the

1:05:53

coast of Australia, we stopped at a place

1:05:55

called Surfers Paradise.

1:05:58

And we were,

1:05:59

We rented an apartment for the night

1:06:02

and it was just like a traditional

1:06:05

block of apartments, you know, nothing special.

1:06:08

Just run in the mill and it had a really nice big

1:06:11

living room.

1:06:12

It had a kitchen and bedroom, but it had

1:06:14

this bathroom that I just got

1:06:16

a really weird feeling about. As

1:06:19

soon as I walked into the property, something drew me to

1:06:21

the bathroom.

1:06:23

And I went to go through the door and the door was locked

1:06:25

from the inside and I couldn't

1:06:28

figure this out. This was like a freak

1:06:31

you. So I tried a few times and

1:06:33

my wife was saying, oh, I'll just leave it. You know, we've

1:06:36

got another bathroom. It's actually the

1:06:38

bedroom. It's fine.

1:06:41

Something

1:06:42

is setting all the heckles on my arms off and making

1:06:44

me really freaked out.

1:06:45

Something about this bathroom. I was

1:06:48

so uneasy. I couldn't sleep. I

1:06:51

was up in the middle of the night. It was

1:06:53

like something odd had happened in

1:06:55

that bathroom. I just had this sixth sense.

1:06:58

The next day in

1:06:59

the morning,

1:07:01

I went to the same bathroom and the door opened.

1:07:04

Absolutely

1:07:04

no problem. Went

1:07:06

in and I just felt cold like something's

1:07:09

happened in this room. Like something really odd.

1:07:13

And I couldn't

1:07:15

think when I couldn't figure out what was the

1:07:17

deal with that.

1:07:19

Just another weird

1:07:21

incident in the catalog of strange occurrences

1:07:24

all my life.

1:07:27

I think the final incident I had,

1:07:30

I've been good for like years.

1:07:33

I'd say 10 years I've had no experiences.

1:07:36

Thank goodness.

1:07:40

But

1:07:41

we moved to Spain after traveling around the

1:07:43

world for a while and through in

1:07:45

Australia. We moved to Spain for a few years

1:07:47

where I worked as a designer. We

1:07:50

started from small design

1:07:52

business in Spain. We

1:07:54

lived in this one apartment and

1:07:56

I started seeing out the corner of my eye.

1:07:59

TV and I looked to my right and

1:08:02

I could see

1:08:03

what looked like movement in the hallway where

1:08:06

there was a doorway and it led to a big hallway

1:08:08

and the bedroom

1:08:12

was on one side of the hallway and then the kitchen

1:08:15

door was on the other and it looked like somebody was

1:08:17

walking from bedroom through the hallway

1:08:19

through into the kitchen

1:08:22

and I started noticing more and more and

1:08:24

I just

1:08:25

put it down so I had nothing I was imagining things

1:08:28

and then again I could see

1:08:31

shadows in the corner of my eye and then I started to

1:08:33

look more in more detail and I could see actual

1:08:36

physical black shadowy figures

1:08:38

walking from one side

1:08:40

to the other into the kitchen and

1:08:42

I said to my wife did you see that did you see that

1:08:44

and she said no no I didn't see anything

1:08:47

and

1:08:49

this kept happening all the time

1:08:51

like every the night now and then

1:08:53

we were renting this place and they had to move

1:08:55

us the we were

1:08:57

tenants in this place the landlord kicked

1:09:00

us out and we went into another property and subsequently

1:09:03

after that I felt really comfortable

1:09:05

in this little property and no more experiences

1:09:07

and that was the last time

1:09:09

I had any of these strange experiences really

1:09:12

but when I do look back

1:09:15

it's such a catalog of weird things

1:09:19

and whether there's a connection

1:09:21

between them all

1:09:23

whether I don't know I have no idea

1:09:25

I

1:09:26

just know that

1:09:27

there's some mind-bending stuff and

1:09:31

some things that I can't explain to these this day

1:09:33

and some of the things of the figure acting

1:09:36

story when I tell people they

1:09:38

look at me like a butt to has like what are

1:09:40

you talking about that's just insane

1:09:43

I don't even believe it's this day it was so

1:09:45

bizarre but yeah

1:09:48

very very odd oh

1:09:50

yeah for sure I mean you had tons of

1:09:53

experiences throughout your life and

1:09:55

you know when we first started this interview I was

1:09:57

thinking you know maybe we could

1:10:00

I heard lend a hand as

1:10:02

to somebody who is listening to

1:10:04

the stories and outside

1:10:06

perspective as to maybe how this kind of

1:10:09

all unfolded for you throughout your life. But the more I

1:10:11

heard it, I was like, this is just a

1:10:14

jam-packed life filled with experiences.

1:10:19

And some of it maybe was

1:10:21

brought on in the sense of the investigations

1:10:23

and the screen kind of thing. But some

1:10:26

of it is just very sheer happenstance.

1:10:29

Do you have any inkling as

1:10:31

to why you had so many experiences

1:10:34

at one point in your life but now it seems like it died off?

1:10:36

Yeah, a couple of things.

1:10:39

I think going through the trauma of losing

1:10:42

a mother at an early age, 13, 14, and then

1:10:47

I surrounded myself with a lot

1:10:49

of friends to deal with it. And I didn't come

1:10:52

to terms with it for quite a few years. I just dealt

1:10:54

with it by doing

1:10:56

the things I loved like music and skateboarding

1:10:59

and things like that. And I had a wide

1:11:01

circle of friends.

1:11:04

My

1:11:05

father moved to this little

1:11:07

small mill town in this

1:11:09

awful

1:11:10

property with no sunlight. And I

1:11:12

was so depressed. I'd lost contact with all my friends.

1:11:15

I didn't have transport at that time.

1:11:18

So I used to see my friends every

1:11:21

night.

1:11:21

I was isolated.

1:11:23

He was away,

1:11:27

obviously truck driving for a couple of

1:11:29

weeks.

1:11:32

I'd started working in a job that

1:11:34

I was very unhappy with in this kind

1:11:36

of small print place.

1:11:38

My only escape

1:11:40

in life was seeing my girlfriend at

1:11:42

that time.

1:11:44

I've known my girlfriend since college

1:11:46

and we've been married years and she

1:11:49

was the only kind of anchor I had.

1:11:51

And so

1:11:52

when she came round, it was

1:11:54

like an abrasive fresh air. I got to escape

1:11:57

this miserable life, if you will.

1:11:59

And

1:12:01

you know, when you hear stories, don't you,

1:12:03

of like people going through trauma

1:12:06

or especially like poltergeist, you

1:12:08

hear of young girls going through

1:12:11

puberty or difficult times in the life

1:12:13

and then these events happen. What

1:12:16

always springs to my mind is going

1:12:18

through such emotions, such turmoil

1:12:21

that

1:12:21

it might have triggered or

1:12:23

made me more sensitive to things perhaps or,

1:12:25

you know, perhaps there was

1:12:27

some kind of haunting there that was related to that

1:12:30

I don't claim to know. And

1:12:33

then

1:12:33

going forward later in life, like

1:12:35

why it hasn't happened now

1:12:37

is because,

1:12:38

possibly because well,

1:12:41

a couple of things. I'm content.

1:12:43

I'm happy. I

1:12:45

don't ever think about

1:12:48

things like that. I've got my routines in life. I'm

1:12:51

not

1:12:53

so,

1:12:54

you know,

1:12:56

in a bad place as I was. And

1:12:58

the other thing is I found

1:13:01

my religion again, like I got

1:13:04

brought up at a school,

1:13:05

which was

1:13:07

a Catholic school.

1:13:09

I wasn't Catholic myself, but I was very

1:13:11

close to the church. I was very close

1:13:13

to I used to go to

1:13:15

the Sunday services and I used to

1:13:18

love all everything about. I

1:13:20

used to be envious of the kids that had the rosary beads

1:13:22

even and want to do communion.

1:13:25

And always wished I could be involved in that.

1:13:27

And I think

1:13:29

throughout

1:13:31

the time when I needed that the most,

1:13:33

I've become most detached from from

1:13:36

faith, if you will,

1:13:38

with a lot of

1:13:39

dark things happening in my life.

1:13:43

And then I think as I've grown older,

1:13:45

I

1:13:46

found my faith again

1:13:49

and learned to sort

1:13:51

of.

1:13:53

I must

1:13:55

talk to God as

1:13:57

a child would again and just.

1:13:59

that unwavering

1:14:02

belief that there's something

1:14:04

there and that's given me great comfort and

1:14:07

I think you know could that be a connection?

1:14:10

Possibly the fact that I

1:14:13

surround myself with

1:14:14

with that now and

1:14:16

I don't know I mean that's

1:14:19

for everybody else to decide really but it certainly

1:14:22

could be a factor.

1:14:24

I'd like to think so I'd like to think that you know

1:14:26

we have divine protection

1:14:28

from scary and

1:14:30

crazy things in life. Yeah I kind

1:14:32

of understand what you're saying man. You

1:14:34

know I think a lot of times perspectives

1:14:38

come from life experiences and

1:14:43

though it's a perspective I think that

1:14:46

with your situation and many other people's situations

1:14:48

with the paranormal the

1:14:50

life experiences that we

1:14:52

see around us also contribute

1:14:55

to the paranormal type experiences that

1:14:57

we have and

1:14:59

it's all through I'm having a hard time saying

1:15:01

what I'm trying to think of here but it's all through your

1:15:03

perspective so you have these experiences

1:15:07

happening to you but your perspective as to what

1:15:09

happened in your life attributing to

1:15:11

that is the only definition

1:15:13

we can run with. Does that make sense at all? I mean

1:15:17

it's just I

1:15:21

put a lot of weight and value in people's perspectives

1:15:24

when it comes to how they view their experiences

1:15:27

and also why they went through those experiences

1:15:30

because you know who you are you know

1:15:32

why you

1:15:34

think a certain way and I do think

1:15:36

that you as who you are

1:15:39

why you think a certain way and what you

1:15:41

believe do contribute to how

1:15:43

you define your paranormal experiences

1:15:45

but also contribute to why they even

1:15:47

happened and I think that

1:15:50

you might be onto something there.

1:15:52

Yeah and

1:15:54

totally and one other strange

1:15:56

totally unrelated story springs to mind it's

1:15:58

actually from my wife this This is

1:16:00

totally on a tangent, but do

1:16:03

you remember the time when Princess Diana

1:16:05

died? Yeah, was it 9-11?

1:16:08

Yeah, so

1:16:09

we went out for a meal. It was

1:16:11

a week before that happened, and we were

1:16:13

just eating, and my wife looks at me and she says,

1:16:16

Princess Diana is going to be killed. And I

1:16:20

looked at her and I said, What?

1:16:22

And she said, it was almost like

1:16:24

an

1:16:25

automatic thing coming out of the mouth. She just

1:16:28

said it for no reason. I said, What on

1:16:30

earth do you mean?

1:16:31

She said, It just seems so obvious.

1:16:34

She's going to die very soon.

1:16:37

Just the way things are going. And then she didn't

1:16:39

even know why she said it.

1:16:41

And then a week later,

1:16:43

in the house where we had the incident

1:16:45

with all the stars, figures popping off the shelf that

1:16:47

we just moved into, and when

1:16:49

we were quite young, she came running into the bedroom

1:16:52

early in the morning and said, White is

1:16:54

a sheep. And she said, I can't believe it.

1:16:56

She died. She died just like I said.

1:16:59

And that is just another kind

1:17:01

of strange story that I've just remembered

1:17:04

now.

1:17:05

Which adds another aspect

1:17:08

to it. Not UFO, not paranormal

1:17:11

haunting, but how

1:17:14

people could do such a thing and come out with

1:17:16

such a weird thing.

1:17:18

I've had incidents like that myself.

1:17:21

I used to visit my grandmother in

1:17:24

what she had this like shared

1:17:26

over 55 accommodation. And I was

1:17:28

walking around the outside of the property past a garden,

1:17:31

past her neighbor's house. And I had a voice

1:17:33

in my house saying, Mrs.

1:17:36

Whatever she was called, Mrs. Robinson's

1:17:39

died. And she opened

1:17:42

the door and said, Mrs. Robinson's died.

1:17:44

And

1:17:46

it was like, I literally just thought of

1:17:48

it two minutes before she just told

1:17:50

me.

1:17:51

And I really believe that

1:17:54

we have an ability to tap into

1:17:56

things that maybe

1:17:59

the human race.

1:17:59

has lost perhaps over the years and maybe

1:18:02

people get lucky enough to just

1:18:04

tap into these things, who knows? But

1:18:07

these things have happened, I can't explain

1:18:10

them,

1:18:11

but very, very strange.

1:18:13

Yeah, well, definitely strange. And I

1:18:16

think I said this to you before we even started interviewing.

1:18:19

You know, I haven't experienced

1:18:22

half the things you guys

1:18:24

have experienced on the show. I mean, I

1:18:26

had certain things here and there happen to me,

1:18:29

but nothing on a level of what

1:18:32

you just described where you went

1:18:34

through many different

1:18:36

experiences, not just paranormal, not just with

1:18:39

one particular quote unquote type

1:18:41

of entity, but just really peppered

1:18:44

throughout your life. I've never experienced

1:18:46

stuff like that and I'm always fascinated by it. And now

1:18:49

you're telling me about your wife and

1:18:51

basically predicting Princess Diana's death.

1:18:54

I find that very fascinating. It's like

1:18:56

sometimes I wonder if there's something, I

1:19:00

don't, I feel goofy saying it like this,

1:19:03

but it makes me wonder sometimes if

1:19:05

there's some type of engineered

1:19:09

life around us, a matrix.

1:19:13

It's like, did your wife just experience

1:19:15

a glitch in the matrix where she felt, at

1:19:18

least felt, because she probably would have said if she saw something,

1:19:20

but she at least felt what

1:19:22

she was going to feel in a week, a week early.

1:19:25

It's weird. Yeah. It

1:19:27

lends to the thought that everything's happening

1:19:30

all at once and

1:19:31

all that kind of idea. And

1:19:35

whether every now and again, we

1:19:38

slip out of the perception

1:19:40

of how we perceive time and just

1:19:43

maybe get a glimpse of things accidentally, who

1:19:45

knows.

1:19:47

But there's certainly, there's

1:19:50

enough evidence, just adjustment.

1:19:52

A lot of people have been through these kind of

1:19:55

similar experiences

1:19:57

and

1:19:58

things are not quite

1:20:00

as we sing, as we sing, and

1:20:03

yeah, who knows? Yeah. Oh,

1:20:06

I mean, I don't. I

1:20:09

don't pretend to know. I'm just the

1:20:11

guy that hosts conversations and enjoys

1:20:13

hearing stories. But

1:20:16

I'll tell you what, man, I do appreciate you coming on the show and

1:20:18

sharing these experiences. I find them interesting,

1:20:20

man. Sometimes

1:20:23

people just have stories that are sprinkled throughout

1:20:25

their life, and you're one of those guys. And the

1:20:28

fact that they're not, or

1:20:30

the fact that they are seemingly done

1:20:32

now, and the way you view why they're done,

1:20:34

I find comfort in that. Personally, for

1:20:37

me, I look at your life and I find comfort in that, and

1:20:39

I hope you do too.

1:20:40

Yeah, definitely. And to be honest,

1:20:42

I never even thought of half of these

1:20:45

experiences until I thought about

1:20:47

coming on the show.

1:20:49

And then I started making notes. And then

1:20:51

that gave way to other experiences

1:20:54

coming up from subconscious that

1:20:56

I totally forgot about. And that

1:20:59

was cathartic in itself, just

1:21:01

being able to offload all these experiences

1:21:04

and just recount them to somebody, because

1:21:06

instead of carrying them around,

1:21:10

it's good to be able to tell

1:21:12

them to an audience that's

1:21:14

into this kind of stuff, and

1:21:16

that doesn't just look at you and think, oh,

1:21:18

you must be crazy, and what are you talking about?

1:21:22

And subsequently, it's got me absolutely

1:21:25

fascinated in anything

1:21:26

paranormal, hauntings, or

1:21:30

you name it, conspiracies. I research everything

1:21:32

these days. And

1:21:36

I'm probably just as fascinated as most of the audiences. Well,

1:21:43

that's the show, everybody. I

1:21:44

really hope you enjoyed it. And if you did enjoy, please share the show

1:21:46

1:21:50

1:21:52

it, because that's the best thing you can do to help

1:21:54

the show grow. And if you can, go
