The Context of White Supremacy hosts the 12th and final study session on Harriet A. Washington's extraordinary text, Medical Apartheid: The Dark History Of Medical Experimentation On Black Americans From Colonial Times To Present. Washington's astounding research documents intentional, calculated plunder of black bodies under the guise of "science." Washington's book should permanently recalibrate black people's interpretation of the scientific developments of whitefolks - like the "crispr" gene editing technology and DNA tracing websites that stockpile genetic material. Last week's session emphasized how black people have been disproportionately and continuously confined as a perceived health risk. She contrasts this with the treatment of White gay males during the genesis of the AIDS crisis in the 1980's; their medical rights were honored and protected. Washington also described how "throw-away" black children were again fodder for wicked medical experimentation. We also read about how areas with high populations of black people (Detroit, Michigan; Angola prison, Louisiana; South Africa) were test sites for dubious testing of synthetic blood concoctions and unethical CIA brain research. Medical Apartheid should be mandatory reading for any and all black people. #RacismIsNotAPrivilege INVEST in The COWS - http://paypal.me/GusTRenegade CALL IN NUMBER: 641.715.3640 CODE 564943# The C.O.W.S. archives: http://tiny.cc/76f6p
