The Context of White Supremacy welcomes two non-white listeners to examine how Racism impacts their lives. Specifically, both of our guests are non-white females, but they both have a White mother and a black father. Gus introduced these two listeners because of the symetrical nature of their experiences. We'll hear how their White mothers have practiced Racism throughout their lives and how they began to understand that their mom is Racist. We'll inquire about how their White mothers and family members talked about black people and if this corrupted their perception of black people. We'll also ask how major racial episodes - like the O.J. Simpson trial or the election of President Barack Obama - were discussed in their house. Since both of these ladies recognize their moms' Racism, we'll study how their maternal relationship has changed with a more accurate grasp of Racism.
