Our grief monster has a way of making us feel as though we are trapped in the middle of a horror movie with that antagonist closing in. We are gripped with fear, our heart pounding out of our chest, tears streaming down our face, and no sign of hope...but soon the sun rises and that monster that was terrorizing us through the night is far less intimidating in the light. Once confronted, we realize this beast can be tamed by forming healthy habits of dealing with our grief. We can begin to experience post traumatic growth and soon that brute that was trying to kill us is on a leash, leaving us in complete control.
