When dealing with topics like the LGBTQ community and religion in the same episode, I decided to tone down all the humor and be careful with what I say.
On this episode, I talk to Raymond Alikpala, author of "God Loves Bakla". It's a book that tackles his story as a closeted Filipino gay man through the Marcos years and how he decided to take that leap of faith and come out.
We get into his journey of writing the book, the realizations he has a decade after the book was published, and if coming out in the age of the internet is actually more difficult or not.
