Netflix's docuseries "How To Become A Cult Leader" explores the psychology of cult leaders and presents a "How To" playbook for becoming one. The series uses a unique narrative device, employing sarcasm and humor to make the topic more accessible. I argue that the series remains superficial and incomplete. In this critical review, I discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the series, and I interview Radhia Gleis, a friend of the show and a former member of a cult, who was featured in the series.
