Achieving the life of your dreams won’t happen overnight.

But what’s the alternative? Settling, quitting, and always wondering what could have been.

For us, that’s simply not an option.

“Everything is a pivot except for stopping,” says entrepreneur Alex Hormozi. “Nothing is quitting unless you stop, and if you continue to pivot and you continue to push either of those are activity. You will stumble upon something that works, and in that case do more of it.”

There are two types of games in life: finite games and infinite games.

Finite games have an end goal. They’re played to win. The point of infinite games is simply to continue playing.

“Most games worth playing are infinite,” says Hormozi.

Staying healthy, maintaining a loving relationship and sustaining peace of mind are infinite games. These are the games that matter.

Going for your dreams is an infinite game, because the bigger the dream, the greater the time scale; most people will quit before time has the chance to take its course.

Will you? Or will you sign up for a lifetime of commitment, stick it out for the long haul and persevere?

If you commit to this thing for real, the only way you can fail is if you quit. And if you throw out the possibility of quitting, then it’s only a matter of time until your life changes.

The beauty is, it won’t even matter how long it takes. Who you become along the way is enough of a reason to start walking without the destination in sight. The reward isn’t one day becoming successful. It’s becoming a better you, every day on the adventure of a lifetime.

You can’t lose if you don’t quit.

On this episode we also discuss:

  • Abolishing fear
  • Embracing our human faults by realizing we are all this way
  • Believing, with all our hearts, in a brighter future
  • Vinny imagining hugging his dad when out of back pain, having overcome his greatest challenge
  • The opposite of a cringeworthy person is an authentic one
  • What makes somebody authentic, and how do you know if you’re being authentic?
  • It’s normal to not know what you’re doing
  • Greg’s weekend snowboarding in Jackson, and Vinny’s weekend at Kinosaki Onsen
  • Is it happiness we’re after? Or a life full of epic experiences, regardless of if we enjoy them?
