Squatting in a cramped public restroom stall with your toddler can lead to some interesting conversations. Things like “why do you have FUR down there?”, or “why do you pee out of your BUTT, Mama?”
Conversations that are shouted loudly for all to hear.
Because for whatever reason, your toddler believes you to be hard of hearing amongst the rush of multiple toilet flushing. And despite the fact that you’ve been alone in a bathroom many times over at home, the best time to ask these questions is within a busy public restroom.
Perhaps as you’re attending your cousins baby shower, your dearest little one decides to turn to you and ask “HOW did that baby got into Lisa’s belly?“
These are questions that aren’t really complicated to answer, but they can take us by surprise. Especially when we have an audience.
How detailed should be get, and when?
Answering the hard questions is a part of parenthood. Do we really want their friends to explain it? No. Therefore, we gotta roll up our sleeves, and do it.
