Mark Collins is a Brazilian philosopher with a master's in ethics who presently researches consciousness and is the founder of the IDMT PROJECT, which is made up of: a personal interest in the study of altered states represented by the letters "I DMT"; an academic institute dedicated to research called the Instituto da Molècula Triptamina; and a church Igreja do Divino Mestre na Terra, a religious laboratory used as a "launch pad" for incursions into spiritual realms using DMT legally, isolated, and served in milligrams.  Members of the Associação Brasileira de Estudos Sociais do Uso de Psicoativos - ABESUP (Brazilian Association for the Social Study of the Use of Psychoactive Substances) since 2010, he lives on the sunny Northeast coast of Brazil in the city of Fortaleza where he teaches and provides academic and fieldwork advice to those interested in the study of South American psychedelic substances and Brazilian shamanic traditions.
