Dr. Burkard is a PGY-3 in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) at New York University (NYU) and he provides valuable insight about how to dominate the match and land your top residency spot. He discusses the impact of his extracurricular and volunteer experiences during medical school and how they ultimately prepared him to shine on interview day. During the episode we also discuss how and why he chose his medical specialty, how he decided where to apply, and, most importantly, what he believes are the key elements for a truly successful match. Lastly, we talk about what his plans for the future are now that he is succeeding in residency.
