In this episode Tom Candy from ⁠⁠Simplifying Shelter Behaviour Podcast⁠⁠ joins joins us for an fascinating insight into what life is like working in rescue.

Tom has a wealth of experience having spent the last 15 years working in rescue. His practical hands on experience has been underpinned by a BSc (Hons) in bio veterinary science and an MSc in clinical animal Behaviour from the university of Lincoln. Since graduating university Tom has worked as a training and Behaviour advisor for the uks largest dog welfare charity, before locuming across multiple sites and then becoming a senior training and Behaviour advisor supporting Behaviour teams across seven centres in the south west of the uk.

Tom is a certified clinical animal Behaviourist and a certified shelter Behaviour specialist. Tom runs simplifying shelter behaviour which is the go to ⁠podcast⁠ and ⁠Facebook page⁠ for free practical advice for people working and volunteering in the shelter environment.
