Choosing the right business opportunity for a Domestic Mompreneur can be challenging. How do you choose the right one?

Look for an entrepreneurial opportunity, not a job!

Too often people go into business for themselves by creating a job. If they don't show up, if they don't provide the service, they don't get paid. This is still trading time for money. It's a job. Unless this is something that you love and are passionate about it, it's not the best opportunity.

Assess your time

Truly be honest with how much time you can devote to business without neglecting your family and household. Although a particular business model may be trendy or appealing to you, doesn't mean that you have the time to devote to it in order for it to be successful.

Respect the Pocket Book

Seriously, how much can you afford? Know the costs of investment. Weigh the risks vs the rewards, and paying to go back to school isn't always the answer.  Use business funds wisely.

Passion

Although you shouldn't always ignore your passion in business, it doesn't have to govern your choices either. Sometimes you develop passions after starting the business.

Prayer

Seek God's will, plan, and direction. Accept the answer. Be content wherever you are.
