Before the economic recession my speaking focus was on life balance. This emerged, of course, from the book Refrigerator Rights which documented the shocking drift toward social isolation that is having a ruinous effect on us personally and collectively. With the onset of the recession demand shifted toward stress and coping. But with so many people unhappy with parts of their life – either their jobs or their life outside their jobs – it's time to raise the issue of life balance again.
