Be Smart, Eat Smart. In this episode, we are learning all about food politics as we chat with Marion Nestle, Professor of Nutrition, Food Studies, and Public Health, Emerita at New York University, and author of numerous books, including her newest work Let's Ask Marion: What You Need to Know about the Politics of Food, Nutrition, and Health. Marion teaches us about food and its ties with big-business and mainstream culture, and how existing political structures can influence what foods are available in the local market, how they are marketed and labeled, and their price. We also touch on the importance of balanced nutrition, making smart food choices, political reform, the intersection between our food and pet food, and regenerative agriculture.
