You may know, I started my business with just $2000. I slept on the floor of a 380 sq. ft. apartment, and often went to sleep hungry...... until I figured it out. Today, I live in a multi-million dollar penthouse on the Las Vegas Strip. But, what happened in between? I had some major failures. MAJOR! And, you wouldn't believe how I got connected with Ryan Seacrest and Fabio. Yeah, that Fabio! There's even a couple incidents with the Bachelor TV show and The Real Housewives along the way. I share it all, and a lot of very valuable lessons you can use to build your business and improve your life. I'll even tell you how a totally messed up a date, and it was one of my best life lessons.
Which chronotype are you? And how do you stay in a high-performance mode throughout the day?   A chronotype is your own personal biological clock that controls your body's rhythms—it's the reason you are grumpier in the morning or focus better later in the day.   This genetic biological clock affects much more than your waking and sleeping patterns, it affects when you should eat; when the best time for coffee is; and when you should socialize, work, and exercise, among other things. Find out if your chronotype is a lion, dolphin, bear, or wolf, and how these types impact your sleep and habits.   PEAK WORKING HOURS: 11 a.m.–6 p.m. Kick off your first period of high alertness with something that takes a lot of focus. As your caffeine boost wears off, head outside to pick up lunch on the early side–and soak in some sunlight, which reminds your body that it’s time to be alert and active. Lunch, around noon, will give you a second boost of energy for more high-value tasks. Around 2 p.m., your energy will start to ebb, but you’ll be in a great mood. Time for meetings, brainstorms, and a protein-heavy snack to carry you through the afternoon.   AFTER WORK: 6 p.m.–10 p.m. Exercise–knowing that getting started is probably going to be a little tough. After your workout, wind down for a light dinner, and go easy on the carbs. The period after dinner is prime time to socialize. END OF DAY: 10 p.m.–11 p.m. Power down at 10 p.m., especially all your devices. Lights out by 11. Bears find it easy to stay up late, only to struggle with getting up on time the   The Entrepreneur Show hosted by John Spencer Ellis. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD >>>> Stop asking to "pick my brain" or pick anyone's brain for that matter.... Why? 1) It's an extraction (no reciprocity). 2) It's the same as saying, "thanks for doing all the hard work for decades, and now I want to take it all without paying for your expertise." 3) The visual of "picking" is horrible. 4) By default, you are saying you are NOT an A-player, because A-players ALWAYS pay for expert advice/coaching/consulting 5) "Buying a cup of coffee" is not payment for an hour of "picking" or "consulting". 6) BRAIN PICKERS do NOT have the money for your coaching/consulting or advising anyways.... that's why they "pick".... so why waste your time with someone who doesn't value you when you literally will get nothing from it? My hourly consulting fee ranges from $300 - $600 depending on a few factors. Give me $600 and I'll buy the Starbucks. And, wait..... it gets better..... GUARANTEED there will be a couple people who think I'm an ass for writing this. I KNOW IT. And, those few people HAVE NOT done the work to value their time enough NOT to allow "brain picking". Value your time. Value your effort. Value your business. Value your dignity. THE MORE YOU PAY...... THE MORE YOU PAY ATTENTION!     The Entrepreneur Show hosted by John Spencer Ellis. How and Why Wealthy People Think Differently Thank People Who Earn Far Less? Have you ever thought about it? Did you know there is a difference? Success leaves clues. Failures leave clues. Some things in life are simple lessons and others are harder. If you can shortcut your way to success by learning from people who are already successful, you are more likely to arrive at a point of success too. Affluent, wealthy, rich.... you can use any word you like.... "those people" tend to think differently and therefore ACT differently that those who have much less. It's time for you to learn the difference and make changes accordingly.   The Entrepreneur Show hosted by John Spencer Ellis.   It's important to understand the internal dialog of your prospect so you can effectively communicate with them. You must show and feel empathy. You must use language that lets them know they are heard and understood. You cannot interject your language if it is not congruent with their reality. Pacing verbal communication strongly influences the depth of rapport you establish with another person Pacing volume is also a useful tactic. Someone who speaks softly will appreciate someone else who speaks softly. Likewise someone who speaks loudly will often have more respect for you and will recognize a kindred spirit if you match their volume. As a matter of fact , on occasion you might even want to exceed the others’ volume to get them to speak more softly. By giving somebody a reflection of themselves and even exaggerating that reflection somewhat you can often cause them to modify their behavior. Some people find that they can control others by going out of control, they exploit the predictable behavior of those around them. The plan to go out of control in such a way that other people will acquiesce and placate Children may learn to scream and throw temper tantrums in order to control other people. If you pace that behavior by also throwing a tantrum (not at the child, but with the child) a miraculous and amusing calm can set in. The child’s astonishment can then give way to humor and the act is broken. The message to remember is –If you want to change someone else’s behavior, the best approach is to change your own. The resulting change in the system will often prompt the other person to change themselves in order to re-establish the balance and the illusion of control.     The Entrepreneur Show hosted by John Spencer Ellis. FIRST, You must know that you can set your annual goal any day of the year.... You are about to learn exactly how to set and reach outrageous goals. Discover my simple method of setting goals for the year and reaching 87% of them. Annual goals are a great way to realign your business, finances and personal life every 12 months, and this time of year is the perfect occasion to get you back on track for the achievement that you seek. guide for your year, reaching down to your monthly plans and daily actions. At the beginning of each new year (ideally), you need to set specific, realistic, annual goals which will always be derived from your vision and dreams.
