Summary:
Elizabeth writes to her mother asking for for the carriage to take them home. Mrs Bennet write back saying that it won’t be possible as she wishes Jane to stay longer to get closer to Bingley. Elizabeth however asks Bingley for his carriage, and though he says that he would have liked them to stay longer, he understands, and says that they could leave on the following day. Darcy is glad for this as Elizabeth has stayed far too long for his liking. He cannot let her know his feeling for her yet.  The following day, the Bennet girls head home to their mother’s disapproval.
