Nurse, wife, and mama Alex McCaughin comes to us from Chicago.  Alex has amazing advice to first time moms who are pregnant and close to delivery. We talked preeclampsia, induction, and postpartum when NOTHING goes the way you imagined. Alex shared her daughter's NICU journey and her own mother's breast cancer diagnosis days after her daughter, Mae's, birth. We talked about our shared love of baby wearing and how we both feel it helped us cope with post partum depression and anxiety. There were a few off topic slides into fantasy football and baseball, but this conversation was warm, funny, and I think you all will love Alex and her story as much as I did.
