house a cleaning , or wardrobe cleaning , at least

twice a year once in the spring summer

, once in the winter , fall , and these

are the perfect times to simplify

your wardrobe . I think at some point

we were so overwhelmed

with consumption that now

we want to simplify things , and I'm all

here for it . So let's dive

right in and I want to talk to you a little bit

about , give you a few ways that you can

begin to simplify your wardrobe

today . So

, number one edit your

wardrobe . This , right here

, is my number one step when

it comes to not only simplifying

your wardrobe , but building one as well

. So editing your wardrobe will

allow you what actually force you

to get rid of anything and everything

that you no longer wear , that

no longer makes you feel comfortable , no

longer is makes you feel confident

, but it will allow you

to make space and to make way

that do suit you and that will

bring you joy when you purchase

them . Now , editing your wardrobe

, I highly recommend scheduling some

time to do this at a minimum

find is is it will provide you an act

. It will allow you to lift a weight

off of your shoulders , because one

thing that we underestimate is all the

clutter and all of the stuff and all

of the junk that we have . What

it does is it actually

can sometimes overwhelm us , make us

anxious , and if you've ever

been in a clean space , like once you've cleaned

and once everything's organized , you can have this

big sigh of relief because

you feel good and it feels as

if this weight has been lifted off of your

shoulders . Well , that's what editing your

wardrobe can do for you . That

means figuring out where

to send things , whether you're going

to donate them , whether you're going to sell them

, whether you're going to tailor them or whether you're just

going to go on ahead and get rid of them . So

literally you're just grabbing and going

. Here's a little tip when you're organizing

create a space in your

just literally grabbing and going

it . It should be a space of peace and

your closet is literally ground zero

closet is disorganized , your

day is going to probably be disorganized

because you have to rush and fumble

through everything . So make sure that you

and this is a hard one and we've all

buying clothes you won't wear . This

know what happens to that top or

you're going to find it six , seven months

heck , even a year from now , like

, oh , my god , I totally forgot about

it , and it's either going to be out of style

, you're not going to like it anymore

and you're going to begin to think , dang

, I wasted money on this shirt that

I said I was going to wear , but I was never

you ever find yourself doing

that when you're looking through buying clothes

walk away , because

this is how we always end up with

a closet full of clothes with nothing to wear

impulse buying to a degree

we're always saying , oh , I can wear that one

day , or oh , that looks nice

I get to this point in life , I'm

going to wear this and

you're never going to wear it . So

and buy it , but nine times at a ten , when you

add it to your cart , because what's going

to happen is you're going to end up buying it and it's

going to be in a bunch of things and you're going to get a pile of

clothes and we know how that

goes , because with online shopping , you may not

necessarily want to send

it back into the store , because send it back because

it can be at half full . So

I want you to pause when

you have that thought and

walk away . If it's something

that you really want and really need , then

you will go back and buy it , but

nine times out of ten you're not

. You're going to forget about it and you're going

to go on to the next store , you're going to go on to the next

website and you're going to find something else

about what it is you're going to buy
