But what Diaspora Co. is trying to do is disrupt and decolonize an outdated commodity spice trading system, bringing equity to Indian farmers who make fresh, sustainable, single-origin curcumin bioavailable. That’s the social justice of a queer, woman-of-color owned spice company, which may be even more potent that the power of turmeric.
