Changing from an employed or contracted position to being a freelancer is a big decision of course. Justin Petersen spent many years as a full time, contracted freelancer in the radio industry, but eventually decided to change things and go it alone as a freelance DJ, leading to performing all over the world.
He doesn't regret the move at all. His life and career is now a lot more rewarding. In this episode, he chats about all this, and has some advice from his experiences - including thoughts on marketing yourself and other practical considerations.
Hopefully you'll gain some inspiration or insights if you're wondering about, or maybe fearful of, taking the leap into going alone as a freelancer.
