This is a very heart-warming podcast I think needed we all need to re-align ourselves.  Well I did anyway.

The US Presidential elections has all the attention right now and with all the vitriol and global tension heightened right now through Covid, it was a relief to meet and talk to a Global Aussie who is devoted to one of the most selfless businesses there is.

Fund raising for a charity to save Moon Bears in Asia from bile farming.

This week’s guest is Audrey Hii who came into my studio to record this podcast in Hong Kong and personally for me it was a much needed conversation to have to give myself a reality check.  I get wrapped up in talking about investments, taxes and wealth, and then you meet a person like Audrey who gives their life to a cause above and beyond their own benefit.  It’s very grounding and there are quite a few people involved and celebrities giving their time and voice as well such as Ricky Gervais, Joaquin Phoenix and many more.

I knew nothing about Moon Bears and the bile farming industry which I’m now embarrassed to say, but now that is within my consciousness, I have seen a lot more and it has educated me about this battle.

Animals Asia is devoted to ending bear bile farming and improving the welfare of animals across Asia. Works to end the bear bile trade, which sees over 10,000 bears – mainly moon bears but also sun bears and brown bears – kept on bile farms across Asia. It has rescued more than 600 bears from the industry since it was established.
