The Rain

You live your life in a comfortable bubble of chaos 

& the more it rains, the more you dance.  

You are like a thunderstorm on a tin roof  

Eradicating quiet cravings,  bringing peace through familiar sound  

Warmth, soul, beauty and destruction.  

All encompassing,  sporadic and gone with the wind.  

Until next time,  I’ll continue craving the fresh air  that I breathe when you’re around.  

Unforgettable and unobtainable,  I appreciate you  for what you are and what you are not.  

The rain,  a fall on my shadow,  I dance with you through the night. 

Physically, you’re no longer here  but I can still taste you in the atmosphere.  

A reminiscence of a perfect moment,  I get to relive time and time again  

& every time I close my eyes I dream of you,  the rain.
