Alison Downie is a stalwart of Australian women’s sport, playing at the highest level for 20 years across two sports. She played 326 games with Dandenong in the Australian Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL), was Rookie of the Year in 2002 and won three titles, the last in 2012. Retiring from top-tier basketball in 2016, she turned her attention to a career in the inaugural AFLW competition and was drafted by Carlton, finishing third in the club’s best and fairest that season and playing each year since. All while juggling a full-time work career.
In this celebration of Alison's career(s), the trio talk inspiration, superstition, celebration and the fellas get fresh inspiration as Dads. And one of them walks away as the Hero according to "Doona".
